Cozy Cove offers year round opportunities for a fun-filled vacation. Whether it's Lake Champlain's famous boating, waterskiing, and fishing, or the beautiful Fall foliage, or the outstanding winter trail systems for cross country, snowmobiling and skiing, Cozy Cove is a great location to get to it all with ease.
The home has magnificent views and features a brand new large front deck for friends and family to gather and soak in the east facing view of Vermont mountains. Lake Champlain on the New York side is the place to be. NO weeds. The water is crystal clear and you can see straight done - it's awesome. Our home is Lake Champlain's jewel tucked away in a quiet cove where swimming and family fun is easy access..
Lounge and relax on the spacious deck complete with table and chairs and grill. Inside the home is ranch style with large open concept with great room for entertaining. Large great room with 65" flat screen TV with full internet access. Game table, games, books, dvds are also supplied for entertainment.
Private master bedroom with queen bed and its own lavish bathroom. Master bathroom is graced with a super large 42 inch wide tub/shower. Front bedroom can accommodate 4 or more guests with full bed and 2 twin beds. Third bedroom sleeps 2 with another nice queen bed. Bedrooms are extra roomy to accommodate portable cribs. Kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and all the trimmings anyone would need. Gorgeous custom one of a kind 9 foot farmer's table in dining room awaits all to enjoy the spectacular views while dining. Dining table comfortably seats 10 or more. Full laundry room with new washer and dryer.
Lakefront is pebble beach with easy access to put in kayaks. Two kayaks are available for use. And don't forget to bring your boat and/or water crafts. As much as we would love to control Lake Champlain we cannot. We strive to put the dock in for June, depending on lake water tables. As soon as it is safe to put the dock in, we will oblige. Lake Champlain can be calm or very rough waves and we like to always advise our boat/water craft guests to be mindful to not leave anything tied to the dock. We recommend the use of the public boat launch which is only minutes away to put in and take out your water crafts. There is plenty of parking at the house for trailers too.
The backyard has new decks for lounging and a fire pit for night time toasting marsh mellows and family fun.
For a great winter retreat, Cozy Cove offers easy access to snowmobile trails. The North Country has the best trail systems, fully groomed. Whiteface Ski Resort and Lake Placid are close and our location is perfect to get to it all. Montreal is only 45 min away as well.
Whether it's winter activities or summer activities, we are avid boaters, skiers, hikers, and snowmobilers and can offer many suggestions.
We are a strict NO PETS and NO SMOKING OF ANY KIND property. We respect and support our guests' expectations for a healthy, pet and smoke-free home.

Great Family Getaway

Nice place to get away! Beautiful fall colors! Heidi gave us some great tips for daytrips - Ausable Chasm Brewery, and a great Ferry Ride to Great Island and Burlington.

Annual biking trip

The property was very clean and comfortable for the six of us. We loved the location and the biking on the road was perfect. The kitchen was very well equipped and the beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed exploring the area and had a very relaxing visit.

Lovely Location by the Lake

It's a nice three bedroom house right by the lake. Quiet leafy neighborhood. You can go kayaking in the lake if you want. Groceries and Restaurants are in Plattsburgh (a convenient 10-15 minutes away).There's lots to do in this area if you are interested, or you can chill at the house and take in the scenery as well. Host was responsive and nice.

We had a wonderful time at this property. It is clean, comfortable and roomy. The owner was very responsive and offered information. The location is superb as it is close to Montreal and Vermont for other day trips. Grocery stores are close as well. I would highly recommend staying here!

Great location, great property

A true escape, quiet, peaceful and friendly neighborhood! Would highly recommend for most any group. Shallow swimming area with easy access. The house was exactly as described, and very clean!

This would have been a 5 star stay, but for the main road between the house and the lake access. The pictures suggest a yard leading to the lake - and appear to purposefully omit images of the road. Luckily our kids are old enough that this was not a serious concern. That being said, it seems obvious that the road is not mentioned, at all.

Memorable vacation

Just returned from a week of fishing on Lake Champlain and had a fantastic time! The house and property were perfect for us. Spectacular location right on the lake, the house and rooms were spacious, well furnished and clean. Heidi answered all our questions quickly and was very friendly to deal with. The house provided everything we needed. Highly recommended!

Beautiful Vacation Home

This home made our girls’ reunion perfect! The 7 of us fully enjoyed this lovely well appointed home. It comfortably accommodated all of us. We enjoyed sitting on porch enjoying the view of the lake, grilling out, kayaking and swimming, and gathering around fire pit. It’s location allowed us to travel easily into Montreal and to Plattsburgh. Burlington is also close. We all agreed that we’d love to come back!

Relaxing week with the family

My husband, our three girls (17, 14, 9) and I stayed here for a week and had a great time. The kids enjoyed the water (including all the inflatables & paddleboard), as well as the house. We had a great time relaxing, enjoying the area and all it has to offer. We did day trips to Montreal and Burlington, which were accessible within an hour. Did some hikes, rented a boat for skiing & tubing and went to Ausable Chasm. The owners, Heidi & Jay, were incredibly responsive to our questions and helped make the week terrific. Would definitely recommend!!

This place has a beautiful southward view of Lake Champlain and was the perfect wading depth for our 6 year old grandkids, with a partially sandy bottom. I don’t know how far out an adult would need to go out to get over your head, but it would be a long ways. The road between the house and the lake is not busy. The shoreline is pretty rocky so bring your water shoes. The front deck, kitchen table, and living room are spacious. Only real downside was one back bedroom smelled a bit like mothballs and dog urine and the master bedroom’s bed was held up by cinder blocks (which is pretty painful to discover the first night at 2am). Spacious private back yard, quiet neighborhood, and views of the biggest Macintosh orchard in the world. Short drive to Walmart & Canada. A nice place to visit.

Great location, beautiful view

The house is very comfortable and roomy and in a great location for boating and hiking. The house is very well equipped, with abundant outdoor seating both out front and in the back. We did a fun day trip to Ausable Chasm, about a half-hour away. What isn't obvious in the listing is that the road divides the front yard from the waterfront property. The road is not a busy one, however. We enjoyed using the kayaks and paddleboard.

Perfect location for a very enjoyable stay

We stayed in this charming Lake Champlain house in July 2017 and had a great time. The house is new and equipped with everything you can think of, from a substantial movie library to the meticulously stocked kitchen. It is one floor but very roomy and accommodated our party of 8 very comfortably. The place is right across from Lake Champlain and aside from magnificent unobstructed views you also get a beach that’s great for swimming, fishing or kayaking. Staying here, you are 30 minutes from Ausable Chasm and 40 minutes (if without traffic) from Montreal. The owners are very attentive and a pleasure to deal with. Strongly recommend!

Fourth of July Sparkler

My husband and I spent a summer week here over the Fourth of July with another couple. It is spacious, with a generous supply of towels and an extremely well-equipped kitchen. The view of Lake Champlain is superb from the front of the house, and the large windows and front deck make the most of that view. The rear faces agricultural buildings so the backyard and deck were less attractive spaces to use (at least in the summer). There is a paved road between the front of the house and the dock at the lake, but it is very low traffic and noise was never a problem. It was fabulous for the holiday weekend, with extensive fireworks to view all over the Lake, near and far. Heidi was super-responsive attending to some maintenance issues, and she provided some excellent restaurant recommendations (we loved Naked Turtle in Plattsburgh). There are a few design quirks, but all in all it was a welcome refuge after 4 months of coronavirus stay-at-home orders.

Wonderful get away with family

This property was exactly as described in the ad - spacious, clean, homey and had all the amenities we needed. Our grandchildren especially enjoyed swimming and kayaking in the lake and we took day trips to Vermont and Lake Placid. The house was very conducive to all gathering for games at night. Great house for family fun.

Perfect Stay on Lake Champlain

We really enjoyed staying at this property. Communication was great with Heidi. Property was clean and incredibly well stocked. We appreciated the life jackets and water shoes for the lake. We went swimming, kayaking and even used the floaties. At night we would make smores in the backyard fire pit. We watched movies and played games - of which there was an extensive collection. Highly recommend for a lazy lake vacation. :)

Wonderful to be back here again. It’s been a few years but the location and the lake is just as beautiful as I remember it. Thank you Heidi for everything! It’s such an easy place to just jump in and feel at home. Quite convenient and well-stocked.

Hello there. This is Heidi. I grew up in New Jersey and after college moved to the beautiful northeast. Mountains and lakes are in my blood and the quiet lifestyle lured me here since the 1980s. Lake Champlain and the White mountains are truly a gem, offering so much for outside activities year round. As avid boaters for over 30 years, we know the lake well - both sides New York and Vermont. New York side of Lake Champlain is crystal clean with rock and sand beaches. Beautiful. We have lots of knowledge to share with you, your friends and family. You will love the house!

The home is cozy and inviting. The area is quiet and just right for a vacation. Lake Champlain is an amazing body of water we have enjoyed since 1980.

What makes this property unique

We offer so many amenities! We focus on the water at Cozy Cove. We offer kayaks and a paddleboard. Life jackets and water shoes are available to use as well. We put a dock in usually in early June. We have several return groups come to fish in the amazing waters of Lake Champlain, and we are a popular choice for families.
The view is amazing to sit outside and enjoy coffee in the morning or sit and enjoy dinner on the deck. Relaxing and all the comforts of home we offer what anyone would like to have inside and out. Inside is a large open concept where the entire family has space and privacy as well. Games are available and a huge array of videos for those rainy days.
We have a fire pit in the backyard for evening socializing. Lots of outside chairs are available and a deckbox with floaties.
It's a place where all ages would have a great time!
