Thanks for a perfect home base while I was visiting family for a few days. The guesthouse is comfortable, located in a gorgeous street, and Sarah was an amazing host.
We enjoyed our stay, beautiful attention to detail and a convenient location to walk to local cafes and restaurants. The hosts were so helpful and welcoming, lots of toys and books for the kids if you want an extra sleep in!
Lovely quiet location and close to shops. Excellent cycling paths nearby. Sarah and Sam are thoughtful hosts and respond promptly to queries! Will stay again when we visit Brisbane!
Wonderful stay with Sara and Sam! Second time with them and their place is perfect for exploring the area and also within minutes of a train station to get downtime. Very clean and comfortable!
We stayed at Sam and Sarah‘s accomodation and could not have been happier. It’s a great set up and the photos don’t do it Justice. It has a lovely homely feel to it and Sam and Sarah went out of their way to make our stay very memorable. Close to train and shops, quiet and beautiful area. We will definitely be back!
This was a delightful three night stay, facilitated by the considerate and caring hostess Sarah. The accommodation is splendid, ideal for one person or a couple, with all mod cons. I loved the capsule coffee machine with separate milk frother for a cappuccino addict like me. Sarah also provided a small bottle of Chardonnay, and welcome suggestions for dining at the wonderful nearby restaurant strip at Graceville, a brisk 600 metres away: French, Spanish (tapas), Greek, Japanese, Mexican cuisine and more. Nice cafes and other food and convenience outlets. I hope to return-again as soon as the opportunity presents. For me it was 9.5 (I never give 10s). Brilliant!
The property is in a lovely setting in a serene neighbourhood full of beautiful old Queenslander style houses. Close to shops and train station.
The hosts are helpful yet unobtrusive. We gave 4 stars rather than five because the wifi connectivity was so slow that we gave up on it.
Accommodation is a converted tennis pavilion & whilst it had all the essentials, plus the bonus of some wine, beer, tea & plunger coffee, there were several deficits. The mini bar fridge didnt have a freezer compartment, so our frozen product thawed & had to be consumed or thrown out, & the exterior was very exposed, only an umbrella to provide any shade during warm weather.Sarah (Sam's wife) met us upon arrival & made us very welcome. They live in the house next door.We loved the location, Chelmer/Graceville is full of history, large Queenslander houses & a great little shopping/dining strip.
