Location! This is perfect if you want beachfront and walking distance to several wonderful restaurants and the pier. After lots of beach reconstruction, the sand should be perfect too! House could use a deep clean, but looks like it’s just a sign of a popular place to rent!! We will return for the location alone, loved our time here!!

Very nice, especially being right on the beach.Only one small complaint was that furniture in living room area was very old and couches and pullout bed were not cleaned very well.I would definetly rent again.

Checkin process was more complicated than necessary- had to go get a “welcome packet” from a lockbox at the main office with info that could have just been texted to me (was already in texting contact and sent contract/license prior). Condo as pictured, kitchen cabinets old and musty- we felt we needed to wash all items before use. Needs basic skillet and cookie sheet but otherwise fairly well appointed. Amazing view and great location in Surfside. Biggest issue was other unit owners were 65 and not friendly towards my older children and teenagers- at one point an older male owner began harassing and yelling at my teenage boys as they were bringing in beach gear stating this was “not a public beach” and “you’re not welcome here- you’re going I get towed off.” I intervened and told him we were legit and staying at one of the onsite units but he was not apologetic. Rental company could not do anything bc I didn’t have a name.Love Surfside and have stayed many times, usually in higher end houses/units. WOULD NOT STAY HERE AGAIN. Was not welcomed by the other unit owners and was NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY.

Nice place to stay in Surfside. We stayed with my kids, husband, and mother-in-law. There was enough room for everyone. The location and unobstructed ocean were superb. We could walk to restaurants and the pier. The unit and decor are a little dated, and there were small maintenance issues. For example, the front door is difficult to open -looks like a latch issue. The blind in the master bedroom is old, and we couldn't get it to move.These things will likely need replacing. In the meantime,I reached out to iTrip and they promptly sent someone over to fix it. We enjoyed sitting out on the large balcony overlooking the ocean and having coffee in the morning. It's a nice place for a week with kids.

A host of problems

Location is great, parking is great, but oh so many problems ruined our stay here. Word of caution - read to the end. Power went out within hours of arrival, but there was a tropical storm with high winds that affected the entire area. Automated combination door lock was a constant source of upset and stress. Door would not consistently lock. When it did lock, then it would not unlock. Property Manager did not take our concerns for safety, security, and requests for help seriously until 3 days into our stay and after repeated visits by Maintenance who would pronounce the door lock fixed and blame the issues on a poor choice for the lock type on the owner. Every time we left or came back to the unit, we were stressed out. Not something you want on vacation. Upon arrival, property smelled of mold and was damp. Air quality was awful, our allergies went crazy. Property was not clean - dusty, dead bugs on floors of multiple rooms, vent filters were visibly dirty, (were changed at our request by Maintenance) despite significant cleaning fees. We've vacationed in Surfside Beach for years, and I have never encountered so many issues and then given the impression that reporting concerns to the Property Manager was annoying and not welcomed. It was NOT a good experience and I would NEVER stay here again or in a unit managed by iTrip Vacations.

Hey Janelle - we appreciate you taking the time to leave your review and apologize for the issues you experienced with the lock. We are unsure what the problem was, as every time we came out it worked right away?!? We are glad the "damp" issue was figured out - we know it's tempting to leave the sliding glass door open to watch that beautiful ocean, but the damp/salt air WILL come in and settle on everything.

Location was great and the 3rd floor balcony overlooking the beach was great. The property could use some remodeling, but overall was clean and had everything there that was listed.
