Spectacular lake retreat

Hook’s Nest was the perfect place for our three generation vacation with six adults and two babies. Every detail in the house is perfect, and the views and serenity are spectacular. We’ve stayed in 20 or so VRBO properties, and this is certainly the finest.

Probably nicest rental on the island. Fantastic views. Close to Ferry Landing and 15 minutes to Eastsound. Extremely comfortable beds and bedding.

Spent a week celebrating our 50th anniversary. Beautiful home, setting and weather. Definitely a splurge, but worth it. Many special memories of family together.

Beautiful house, peaceful and secluded property. Accommodated our family of eight very comfortably. Well-equipped kitchen. Waterfront view was amazing. Family enjoyed deck time for fireplace s'mores, bird and sea life viewing, and general relaxation.

Hooks Nest = paradise in paradise

This home is easily the best rental we’ve had. Location was prime, the views exquisite, privacy abounds, it is so well stocked and supplied you’d be hard pressed to find a single item missing and with eight adults and one three yr old we cooked, slept, lounged, bbq’d, sat at the fire and admired the views from every angle and never went without.

Secluded on a private road Hooks Nest is the best rental house we have stayed in on Orcas Island. Clean, organized and elegantly designed this home is worth the price.

Beautiful Vacation

This was our fourth stop on a family road trip and I would have to give it an overall A. We’ve been to the orcas Islands before and absolutely love them, and if you pair that with this house and such an amazing location, it made for an amazing family vacation. House is beautiful inside, everything is first class and was very impressed with how well it was organized. Would definitely give this house and location a two thumbs up and recommend it to others.

Had our annual family vacation at this home. The home was clean and beautiful. Loved the decks and outside fireplace. The view was beyond gorgeous. Home had everything we needed. The whole family will be reminiscing about this year's vacation for years to come.

Incredible Oracs home

We loved staying at Hooks Nest - this was our second year at the home. The house is beautifully finished, immaculately clean, and well-stocked for a comfortable stay. Sherri, the host, was easy to get in touch with. The view at the house is particularly spectacular - we loved looking out at the water from so many rooms. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Magnificent Orcas Retreat!

We absolutely loved our stay at this exceptional waterfront home offering: an incredibly beautiful and private setting with stunning waterfront views; remarkable and high-quality architectural design; fabulous decor, bedding and a very well-equipped kitchen. Spectacular home on the water

The most beautiful home I’ve been to on the island hands down. Incredible views and architecture of the home. The house came with everything, a great kitchen to cook with, multiple places to sit and relax outside, every bed was so comfortable, incredibly clean, activities like games, everything you could possibly need while on vacation. 100% recommend and would stay here again.

Best Vacation Rental I've ever had

The house and setting is beautiful. In addition the house was very well equipped with top quality cookware and a well supplied pantry. Beds and bedding were first rate. Perfect house for a big family. I can't think of anything that would have improved our stay!

Spectacular home and location

Not only is Hook’s Nest spotless, well maintained and equipped, the home also boasts one of the best views and locations on the island. Peaceful and quiet yet just a short drive to the ferry and town. We all loved relaxing watching the boats go by and enjoying stunning sunsets each night. Everything is in top shape and felt almost brand new from comfortable beds, plenty of linens/towels to well stocked kitchen and excellent outdoor BBQ grill. We look forward to coming again!!

Exceptional experience

This property is exceptional in every way. The location is quiet and private. There is the occasional fog horn from the ferry, of course, but other than that, this is a very serene place to be. The house was beautiful. The architectural attention to detail truly made this a wonderful time for my wife and me.

Beautifully crafted home, every detail is thoughtfully designed and extremely functional. Stellar views across the water. And one of my most important values - a very comfortable bed! Just remember to book your ferry reservations well in advance.

Wow what a gorgeous house and view!

My wife and I had an amazing stay at Hook's Nest. The posted pictures are not as grand as the actual stunning beauty in person. This house, this property, really is as good as it gets on Orcas. The house was clearly designed and built to flaunt the natural beauty around it while offering peace, privacy, and comfort. Three days of bliss was rejuvenating to our lives.
