Beautiful home!

This is a beautiful property located on a pristine beach. The proximity to the Sebastian Inlet State Park is fantastic, especially if you are interested in great fishing.

Absolutely beautiful spot. Excellent communication with the owners. Gorgeous spacious home. Everything was provided minus personal items. Fantastic experience! Will try to come again next year!

One awesome beach house

Our stay at the Melbourne beach house was amazing. It was clean and well supplied. There was plenty of room for our family and room for privacy. The beach was beautiful and quiet and turtle egg laying was in full swing. The owners were available and responsive and made sure we had the necessities for our 3 toddlers. I certainly hope we will be able to stay there again. Everyone had a great and relaxing visit.

Beautiful view

Gorgeous home. The owners of this beautiful home are amazing. Easy to contact and answer questions immediately. The home is beautiful, bedrooms are spacious. The kitchen and upstairs is large, great for gathering eating or just hanging out and watching the dolphins play in the water. The beach is pretty private not many people around at all. Got to see a Spacex launch from the balcony, so cool. Kids loved it! Second year here, hope to come back again!

Lovely

My family and I absolutely loved this house. The view was excellent and the beach was solitary. We had the privacy we wanted. We went with my parents and my 2 and 1 year old. The kitchen had all the utensils and appliances we needed. There is also a barbecue which was delightful to use and the house also has all the outdoor gear you could possibly want or need. We did take food condiments and a beach tent. Instacart doesn’t deliver there so just go to Publix or bring all the food you will use. We have no complaints about the house. The owners are very good warm people and are there if you need anything. We really enjoyed our stay. Hope to go back sometime.

Fantastic Fr-amily Beach Vacation

We vacationed with 2 other families, altogether 6 adults and 6 young children. We were mostly interested in a beach vacation in which everyone could spend time together in one place, on a beach; this meant a house that could accommodate everyone comfortably, had a large kitchen and common spaces, and had easy beach access. Hank and Sandie’s house checked all the boxes. The house is on the beach, accessible via a private boardwalk. There were 2 outdoor porches, and another small sitting area on the boardwalk near the beach. There was an outdoor shower with hot water, numerous beach toys, fishing equipment, and 2 kayaks to enjoy the outdoors. The house itself was great. It has a nicely equipped kitchen/living area which was perfect for us all to be together. Beds and baths were all clean and spacious. The house has a little older style, but everything functioned well. The beach itself was also great. We were a mile from Sebastian Inlet Park, on a quiet and natural looking part of the beach. I was able to find good surfing just outside the house. That said the house is a decent distance from the nearest towns (~25 mins to Melbourne Beach), so if you are looking to eat most of your meals out of the house, this may not work. Hank and Sandie were fantastic hosts. They were communicative and helpful before and during our stay. They were also very generous in offering to accommodate us after our official check-out time due to a medical issue that came up.

Private paradise

We met up with our friends and family for a week at Surf Song. It’s location seems a bit remote from the busier areas of Melbourne Beach but that’s what we loved about it. Even though the closest strip mall is 15+ mins away, there is an excellent cafe right across the street that has excellent breakfast and lunch. It also has a bait and tackle shop that carries most of the things you may have forgotten. We loved the arrangement of the house. To take advantage of the amazing views, the bedrooms and living areas are on the second and third floor. We had several nights where the kids hung out and played on the second floor while the adults were upstairs. The house has private beach access and it is absolutely private. The houses along this stretch are spaced out and there is no public access nearby. Besides the occasional person walking along the beach, we were the only ones on our beachfront, and this was during 4th of July week! We spent our days hunting for shells, bodyboarding, learning about and watching all the dolphins, turtles, birds, manatees and fishing. With some tips from the owners and friendly staff at the tackle shop, we caught enough fish to feed all of us 2 nights in a row. The house was clean and thoughtfully stocked. The owners went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. You can tell Sandie and Hank love Surf Song and want you to love it as much as they do. My favorite thing about the house was looking out any window in the back and feeling like we were on a private island. We saw so many amazing animals, including a mama turtle waiting to come to shore to nest. We have rented many beach houses from Destin to Isle of Palms SC, but Surf Song will be the one we return to every year.

Family Vacation Memories

The house is very well equipped.Provides all beach items including beach towels. The refrigerator needed repaired Hank ‘s responses was right away.View of ocean fantastic, deck to ocean short even saw a giant sea turtle at the end of deck big plus..Beach area clean and private.Having elevator in the house big plus for luggage and groceries.I would recommend this house for a large group plenty of space for kids and table area for games. House decorations beautiful. Thanks for the memories.

Privacy on the ocean!

The home has fantastic views of the ocean and very private beach. Close to the State Park, there is a lot of privacy on the beach. Lovely home with plenty of space to spread out. We stayed with extended family with room for everyone. Karaoke machine was a big hit. Kitchen well stocked and the owners were available if needed. Only complaint is a personal one... mattresses very hard. Many prefer that - but not us. We would rent again for sure!

Simply Amazing

We vacationed at Surf Song on June 5th-12th. The property was simply amazing. It was super clean and had everything we could possibly need. It was so well-equipped that all we really needed to pack were clothes and grab groceries at Publix. There were a couple of issues, but Hank and Sandie were quick to respond. That’s the beauty of dealing directly with owners instead of a rental company. I would love to stay at Surf Song again, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone.

Outstanding property

This location is great. It has an abundance of privacy, very clean and everything you need is on site (spices, towels, toiletries, beach toys, beach chairs, fishing gear, board games, karaoke etc.). Sandie, the owner is very responsive and does everything possible to make you feel at home. Shopping and restaurants are about 15-25 minutes away so plan your trips accordingly. I travel quite a bit and I’m very picky about where I stay and this place, by far, exceeded my expectations. Thanks Sandie for the great stay and allowing me to make great memories with my family.

Perfect!!

Our stay was nothing but perfect! We had a 90th birthday celebration for my father. We had everything we needed to make it a special occasion. Hank and Sandie were a phone call away if we needed anything. Beach time was perfect and private. Kids had a blast! We will be back!

A Piece of Paradise in Melbourne

The sound of wave crashing against the sand. The morning sunrise over the ocean. An immaculate house. It was the first time in some years that I had all my children together. A dream of a vacation. I was a little intimidated at the size of the home...until I saw the elevator. All groceries, suitcases a older people were easily transported about. (Note:) And I am happy to report that all my deposit was returned to me promptly

Wonderful family vacation!

Stay here if you get the chance! The amenities are great, every beach item you could need, and a fully stocked kitchen! The owners are quick to respond to questions and the house was spotless upon arrival. The view from the top floor was amazing and our private walkway to the beach was perfect. The multiple ways to wash the sand off was a great added bonus, and the warm water in the outdoor shower was a HUGE perk as the breeze can be chilly. The shelling was also amazing! We came home with 30+ conch sells and once we found the first one, the hunt for more each day was quite the thrill. Perfect spot for our family of 6 adults, 1 teen and 3 kids! Thank you for sharing your house with us!

Ultimate Beach Stay

I can’t say enough about our stay! Sandie and Hank are the ultimate hosts. We stayed with our children and grandchildren. We had 12 staying at the house and there was plenty of room. Everything we needed was at our fingertips. The guys love to fish at Sebastian Inlet just a quick mile down the road. Everyone enjoyed the beach and sunshine. I’m pretty picky about cleanliness, the house was spotless! We hope to be back again in the future.

Singing "Surf Song"

Our family of 8 had a great vacation at this beautiful property. The house is located right on the beach and the beach itself felt almost private due to the fairly remote location of the property from the primary Melbourne beaches. The house was absolutely clean and was the most completely stocked property we have ever rented. There is literally nothing to bring for adults or children other than food items that you want. Family living is on the second and third floors, each of which has a fantastic view of the beach from patios (the second floor patio accesses the beach as well). Sandie Taylor is an enthusiastic, attentive and responsive manager and really made an effort to make us feel at home. We were familiar with the area and the location was perfect for us with family in Indialantic and Vero Beach. Be aware that restaurants and shopping are several miles away but there is a fresh seafood market right across the street. Surf Song is highly recommended!!

Wonderful home right on the beach

We stayed at Surf Song with 2 other families while our boys were at the Dodgertown baseball facility. Initially, I was a little concerned about the location since it is a bit farther away than places we stayed in the past. The extra distance was hardly noticeable, however, since the route to the property avoids downtown Vero Beach and the busy sections of A1A. The house was awesome. All of the furniture was in great condition and very comfortable. The house has living areas on both the second and third floors. Each has an ocean view and allowed us to spread out while still enjoying the scenery. The two half baths in addition to the three full baths is a small detail but one that we really appreciated by our large group. Of course, the main attraction is the beach, which is spectacular. You access it via a short, private walkway through some mangroves. You can't beat the convenience of having the house just a few steps away when you are out on the beach and realize you forgot something. The size and layout of the lot make you feel completely secluded. It was wonderful. It is obvious that Sandy and Hank are renting their home rather than running a business. We got to meet them personally (as opposed to a property manager) and saw right away that they are an awesome couple who were clearly committed to helping us have a great stay. They responded almost immediately to the few (and very minor) issues we had. For example, they brought us a new gas tank for the grill and actually came into the house (invited) to help us find part of the coffee pot. We had a amazing week and highly recommend the property to anyone looking for a relaxing retreat on the beach.

This was an amazing beach getaway for the family! Private beach and lots of relaxation.

The home was incredible, everything we needed to host and manage a family of 10! Full service home with beach chairs, kayaks, surfboards, beach toys, pop-up tent, ice chest, fishing bait and bikes. There is also a casino boat just 1 hour away for those in the family that like to gamble. I will be planning another stay in the near future.

The perfect place for the whole family to vacation!

This is an incredible place! We had 11 in our party and there were plenty of beds for everyone and abundant room to gather. The beach is at your back door and it is beautiful. We saw many turtle tracks in the sand and were even blessed to have a manatee swim by to take a look at us. Sandie and Hank have thought of so many details to make your stay fabulous, from boogie boards to board games. Everything here was amazing!

Incredible place to stay!

We were so lucky to have found this home to stay at while our son played baseball at Historic Dodgertown. There were 8 of us and the house is so spacious, there were times that you thought you were there alone! The house literally has everything! There was never a time when anyone was in need of something that wasn't provided. Hank and Sandie were so great to work with and incredibly kind. We are looking forward to staying there again!
