This place was even better than we imagined, not often a place is better in person than the photos. The location and beach were perfect. Everything about our stay was fantastic. Comfortable beds in every room, fully equipped kitchen, extremely clean and well furnished. They even came and did a midweek pool clean. We have already begun planning a return trip!

This stay was wonderful! It was the perfect space for our family! The pool was a big hit and the walk to the beach was nice and convenient. The house was spacious and clean and the owner of the property was accommodating with requests and easy to communicate with! We would highly recommend!

So beautiful. This place is a one of a kind! We were 9 women and had plenty room. Clean and roomy! So close to beach. Loved our entire trip. Will be back next year!

This place was by far the best we have stayed at. The house had so much room nobody felt like they were on top of anyone. All the games that the home had for us to play was amazing, the beach is right there. I loved drinking coffee and listening to the waves each morning. When something went wrong they were there right away to fix it. Only thing i would change is having some beach towels at the house for guests to use. Amazing house and host, would recommened to everyone!!!!

Great value for a great location

Overall we were very pleased with our stay. The owners were great and easy to deal with. The living area was clean and comfortable for our large group. The game room was the highlight of our stay and it was just a few steps away from the beach which had the clearest water I’ve seen in a long time. Great location Great value Great owners. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing yet entertaining family vacation.

Great time

We had such a good time! There was something for everyone to do and stay entertained. The house is in a wonderful location, just steps from the beach and close to plenty of amenities. The beach was beautiful and well kept. If we go back to that area, we will definitely rent again!

Beautiful home and is so close to the beach!

My family had a wonderful time at My Margaritaville! The house is beautifully furnished and had plenty of room for everyone. Gameroom is great for the kiddo's and adults too! Short walk to beach was awesome for some of us older folks. Derrell was great to work with! Thank you for sharing this fabulous beach house!!!!

Just wanted to let u know we have had the best time ever at ur house ... loved every minute and the house was amazing !!! We will be leaving really early in the morning so will not get to tell u in person.. but we have had great week !!! 🐬🏖🦀 wasn’t sure what all we need to do but we started dish washer and trying to do all towels and took out the trash .. is there anything else we need to do ?? Amazing!! Perfect family vacation house!

This property is amazing, I can not put in words how much my family loved My Margaritaville Time. We had 7 total guest (4 adults, 3 children) . The kids spent most of their time in the game room, the heated pool and of course the beautiful beach that is just steps away. Grandma and Grandpa loved the views of the ocean from the deck while enjoying their morning coffee. Even on a rainy day the layout is the property kept the vacation going we tvs in every room and I already mentioned it but the game room downstairs!!! The communication during the booking , pre arrival , during our stay , and check out was simply amazing. Darrel sent us suggestions for the kids before we even arrived! Thank you Darrel for such a unforgettable family vacation !!! We will see you again in 2024! ( Of course we already rebooked our next spring break trip here before even departing!).

Absolutely Incredible

We normally go on vacation and go do things around the location we stay, but this time I just wanted to get away, stay at the beach, and make memories with out all the work and expense of going just to come back from vacation and be exhausted. This was everything I envisioned for me and my family! We cooked in with a well equipped kitchen. (eating in and sitting down for meals are really important to us) What incredible decor! Every bedroom was comfortable and well decorated. The house was big enough for all 7 of us. The game room was spot on and so enjoyable. I love to get up early and pray in the morning and the game room was the perfect place and I didn’t interrupt anyone’s sleep. The pool was perfect. We built all kinds of things with sand on the beach.The beach entrance was so convenient, right across the street. The grill was great-used it almost every day. The owner was one of the nicest guys you will ever meet and was very respectful of our privacy.

What an amazing house! 10 out of 10.

I don’t think I could possibly say enough good things about My Margarita Time. What an amazing house. It felt spacious enough that we weren’t on top of each other yet cozy and felt like home. The kitchen comes with so many appliances to make vacation meal planning easy. We utilized 4 bedrooms between 8 adults and a toddler, I love that you can add additional rooms in the event we invite more people on our next trip or need additional space. I loved that each bedroom had their own bathroom. The pool was the perfect size to hang out in and still enjoy each other's company. We loved having the bean bag game available while hanging around the pool area. Plenty of seating in every area inside and outside. We had a rainy day which allowed us to spend some time inside the game room playing pool and competing over frogger and Mario World which we haven’t played in years. Celebrating my 40th couldn’t have been any better. Derral has been amazing to work with. Very prompt in his responses. I would for sure rent this house again. What a wonderful experience.

‘My Margarita Time’ is an absolute gem of a find! Derrell the owner was beyond expectations from reaching out after booking to tell us about his home, to meeting us there upon arrival to personally walk us through his home and show us how things worked. Proximity to the beach could not be better and the ease of walking to the beach was definitely a highlight- no streets to cross, no long wooden access points with stairs to carry things up and over, which made going back and forth from the beach to the house quick & easy! Having the umbrella and chair setup on the beach meant less time traipsing stuff down and more time playing in the water or sitting down to enjoy the sunshine! The house itself was all you could ever ask for! It was decorated so thoughtfully and made for a cozy and inviting place to relax after beach time. The ‘puzzle’ room as we deemed it was the perfect place to spend our time on the rainy day we had. The beds were comfy, all the bedrooms having their own bathroom was something I never knew I needed, the kitchen was well appointed with everything needed to make some of our meals at home, the laundry room was clutch and meant we didn’t come home with bags of laundry to do, and the porch offered ample seating options for us to sit and talk while looking at the beach. My boys claimed the basement for themselves and we certainly got our money’s worth of game time and playing! ‘My Margarita Time’, we will be back and next time we will need the ‘extra’ rooms!

Family Vacation to celebrate Grandpa’s retirement

This property is AMAZING! The owners thought of everything! Well maintained and very clean. You cannot beat the location. We have stayed in the Destin area many times. We always stay “gulf front”. But having this house was better. It is just a few steps to the beach-fewer than a beachfront condo. And the convenience of having to walk right off the beach and into your own beach house with a private pool, you’re not going to beat that! All the beds are comfortable. Plenty of high quality linens and towels. The washer and dryer are huge! And the owner is great! He is close by if you need anything, but also gives you privacy. A perfect combination you don’t always get with a rental. The patios, porches and outdoor areas are beautifully maintained and offer so much seating! You always have a perfect comfy seat exactly where you want, in sun or shade. We had a few storms and the upper porch is the perfect spot to watch them roll in. The game room saved us with the kids when the rain kept them off the beach and out of the pool. Again, we cannot say how much we loved this vacation home, and plan to return again!

Our New Home Away from Home

After visiting the Destin area for over 20 years, I have finally found our home away from home. My entire family was just blown away by this property. Whether it was being able to have drinks on the deck while watching the ocean, being just 60+ steps from the beach, or having a private heated pool...I'm not sure we could ever stay anywhere else that would make everyone as happy as they were over the course of week. My (adult) kids both acknowledged this past week was exactly what they needed to recharge...and this house made it possible. Derral was the consummate host – making us feel welcome and informed long before we ever arrived to check in. Then, he was only a text or phone call away if we needed anything. A previous guest had left the house blender non-functioning...and Derral replaced it within a matter of hours, no questions asked. That's the kind of customer service you hope for...but very seldom see. I can't recommend this property highly enough. All the other reviews really are accurate. On a scale of 1 to 5, I would give it an 11. Now...I have to go plan my next trip back to My Margarita Time and get my reservation submitted. See you at the beach!

Absolutely Amazing

This property was absolutely amazing from the moment we arrived! The property is exactly as outlined in the description and couldn’t have been more perfect for our family of 7. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and we had plenty of space to relax. The ocean view is spectacular and I actually counted 65 steps from the property to the sand on the beach! Derral was amazing to work with and an added bonus was him texting me a Happy Mother’s Day! I also got to meet Derral’s son who was just as friendly as his Dad! We are already looking at dates to rebook this fabulous house and location! Thanks, Derral, for exceeding our very high expectations!

Paradise!

This property is incredible! The location is absolutely amazing, just steps away from the beautiful white sand beach! Our family really enjoyed our relaxing week long stay. The beach was fantastic and there was also plenty to do around the house with the pool, game room, corn hole and putting green. It's only a short drive into Destin for even more fun things to do! Derral, the owner, was a pleasure to deal with. We do feel the cleaning company could have done a better job preparing for our arrival as there were a few areas that were not very clean, but overall the house was in pretty good shape when we arrived. It was nothing that interfered with enjoying our stay, but that's the reason I'm giving a 4 star rating as opposed to 5. We would absolutely rent this property again!

We have been coming to Destin for many years. When we purchased My Margaritaville, we did a total renovation to create a true vacation home that guest feels so much laid back comfort. We tried to create a place that we expect and to have where you want to return year after year. We just put in a putting green to add activity for the family.

I stumbled upon a area in Destin that nearly everyone knew the surrounding area but not Tang O Mar. Perfect, in the middle of the action of Destin but hidden in my own super private subdivision and uncrowded beaches. Even during the season. You just can't find this in the middle of Destin.You will not understand until you experience and stay here. Throw back Destin.

No crowdes to fight for a beach site, no hunting a parking space, no waiting on a grille to open up so you can grille your meal.You can walk from the porch to your beach chair faster than the majority of the condos. You can park and even wash you car off right here below the porch. You can grille your dinner, right at the bottom of the steps and look at the ocean the whole time. The benefits are, you can enjoy yourself to the slow pace of Destin or just drive 1000 feet or so to the fast pace of Destin. You make the choice.
