this place was no cleand when we get there.. the guy who was inside. was cleaning and he plat to finish two hrs after we get there. becarfull when you book this property. is not what it show in the pics.

The place is not what you see in picture. The entrance is on a side road, apartment was dirty, dingy, bathroom were not cleaned, glass table was dirty, floors dirty, Bugs on the floor and coming out of the toilet that would barely flush. Gross. It’s a basement unit and there is no view if you open the window you are below the street and it gets noisy at night. A/C it’s rigged to stay above a certain temperature and can’t change very hot and humid in there. Called both host phone number first day no answer no call back. They responded to message and promise to clean but did not. Worse VRBO experience to date. Stay away.

Communication with the host was great, until we checked in. After we checked in, there was no communication. None of the air conditioning units worked and when we asked the host, he never replied back. When checking out, we asked what we should do with the keys and again, no reply. The pictures are out dated and the furniture is old and worn. We were not informed that there is construction in the building and was a challenge to get the suitcases out when leaving.

Great location, comfortable

Great Florence apartment. Comfortable beds and the bathrooms were bigger for sharing. Nice place, great location for walking.

Excellent stay

We loved the overall experience of Florence. The apartment was in a great location. We could walk anywhere we wanted to go. It would have been helpful to have a book with instructions on getting cabs and using the bus system. I suspect they would have helped if I asked in advance however those things were never planned. I would stay there again, certainly. Very safe area with amazing restaurants all around us.

Spacious and Updated Accommodations in Florence

We loved this apartment. It was updated, spacious, cleaned and comfortable, and accommodated our family of 5 well. The location is great - a short walk to Pont Vecchio and the Uffizi Gallery, as well as for crossing the Arno River to hike up to Piazzale Michelangelo. A grocer is also a short walk away for supplies. Water pressure, electricity and air conditioning all worked very well. We also loved this apartment for a stay in the middle of our trip where we needed to do laundry. The laundry machine worked well and was fast, and the apartment has a small private, enclosed courtyard where we were able to hang our clothes out on drying racks and it all dried so quickly. We would absolutely recommend this apartment and stay here again.

Location is excellent - walkable to all major sights - and property is reasonably spacious. Property was clean and beds comfortable, but the couches were very uncomfortable. Entrance seems a little sketchy, but once inside, it is bright, clean and modernized. Owners were a little slow to reply to a maintenance problem we had, but once they replied, they resolved the issue quickly. Listing implies they have a washer/dryer, but they only have a washer; clothes have to be line dried. Also, property did not have any detergent for the dishwasher stocked, which would have been helpful. On par though, it was a great experience. We would recommend.

Good location but...

This was a nice, ground-floor property in a good location, next to the Arno River, a block away from the Santa Croce Basilica, and close to the Uffizi Museum. Overall, the pros outweighed the cons for a rating rounded up to 4-stars. We stayed over Christmas to New Year's Eve. I was worried about the cold, but forced-air heaters in each bedroom kept us cozy. The beds and pillows were comfortable, and the bathrooms were updated and clean with plenty of hot water and water pressure.The living-room/dining room is really a wider hallway, but turning the dining room table sideways gave better access to the second bedroom. The couches were very small sectionals, which my husband and teenagers found uncomfortable. The kitchen was large and all appliances worked well. No dryer, but drying racks are provided. Also, the third bedroom didn't have storage for clothing, though there was room for wardrobes, so it was hard to contain my sons' clothes.The biggest issue was conflicting messages from the host. I suspect a third party, close to the host, obtained access to the VRBO account and repeatedly messaged me asking for the cleaning fees and city taxes in cash to be left in the lock box, which I did. I should have been careful to check payments, but when I messaged the host to say the cash was in the box, he messaged back saying I had paid in full. We retrieved our cash and I warned the host to change passwords and the lockbox code, which I'm sure he did. Still, 4 stars overall.

deceitful photos and noisy location for 2 out of 3 rooms

The photos made the space look much cleaner, nicer and bigger. However, the living room area was not big enough to hangout in. The couch was tiny, old and dirty. The room also smelled of faint cigarette smoke. The two rooms facing a main street were directly in front of a bus stop. On Saturday night, we heard people, car doors and loud noises until after 4am. The cigarette smoke was also seeping into the apartment from this bus stop. In the middle of our trip, the electricity went out. The host gave us steps to out of the apartment, into a dark hallway and trip the circuit breaker. We did not have anything plugged in or use the TV, hair dryer or anything. But the electricity went out every 5 - 10 minutes. I was unsafe for our father who needs a CPAP machine for sleep. We had to vacate the room to find another place to stay at 2 am and the host was not helpful. The issue was not that the whole building lost power due to a reason out of the host's control. All other residences in the building had power. There was a short of some sort in the this apartment and he refused to help us. We also did not have enough soap or toilet paper in the apartment that was supposed to be for 5-6 people. They told us we had to go to the store. Overall, it was a huge disappointment and we are shocked the host is a premier host.

The apartment is large and generally well furnished, with 3 good-sized bedrooms and two full modern bathrooms. It was very clean and the air conditioning was adequate. As seniors, we appreciated that it's on the ground floor, with very few steps to navigate, and that we didn't have to rely on an elevator. Both the building and the apartment are very secure, and the immediate neighborhood is safe and relatively quiet. Some reviews mention that it's noisy, but we didn't experience that at all. It's reasonably convenient for most tourist actitivies. If you need a taxi, you can get one easily at Piazza Santa Croce, which is only 5-minute walk away. (Don't bother with the local taxi phone apps -- they never have any drivers available.) Two very minor issues: first, we received several messages from different employees which were slightly contradictory, and that caused a bit of confusion; and second, the seating in the living room area is not very comfortable. I've stayed in many short-terms rentals and for my needs this was one of the best I've ever booked. Would recommend.

Pros:Location was the best feature of this apartment. Very reasonable walking distance to downtown Florence.In-Unit clothes washing machine came in handy when we wanted to do laundry in the middle of our trip. Wish there would have been a little detergent to use!Host let us check in early after a long day of travel!Cons:We were not told until a day or so before check-in to bring cash for the cleaning & tourist fee. No running AC in the common areas, only the bed rooms, which made it very uncomfortable to hang out in the living room/dining room/kitchen. It got up to 28 C/80 F every day of our stay in the common areas. We had to keep our bedroom doors closed to keep our room somewhat reasonable temperature.Not an A on cleanliness. Some bathroom dirtiness and scuffed up walls.

We stayed here as a family of four with two teenagers. Plenty of room for everyone and having two bathrooms was lovely. Beds were comfortable, AC worked well. Having a washer was convenient. Property in first floor so no stairs. It is centrally located but away from the crowds. We would stay here again.

Photos trompeuses sur la disposition et la taille de l'appartement

Pas d'eau chaude et chauffage à l'arrivée le 24 décembre, rétablis seulement le lendemain midi... Pas de wifi, rétablis 3 jours plus tard... La 4G ne fonctionne pas car appartement semi enterré. Salle à manger affichée sur le site a disparue, transformée en chambre. On a donc retrouvé la table à manger dans le couloir qui fait office de salon, impossible de s'asseoir à 6. Ni sur les minis canapés inconfortables. Et cerise sur le gâteau, annoncé 120m2, l'appartement est plus proche de 80m2 ! Bref nous ne sommes pas contents.
