We had an easy time getting into the property at the time specified. The pictures depicted the property as a bit more luxurious than it actually was. It was very clean and had all of the amenities as described. How ever the floors were uneven causing the area rug in the living room to bunch on one end. The upstairs bedroom had a low ceiling not allowing the occupant to sit up in bed. The location allowed us to walk to many of the sites of Paris. We didn’t spend a lot of time in the property but we were comfortable during the time we did spend there. I would recommend renting this property.

Zero stars. Would not recommend. Pictures are not accurate. The sofas and rug are filthy. Like so dirty you don’t want to sit on them. Air conditioning wasn’t working on arrival. Had to wait till the following day for it to get fixed. It stopped working on three other occasions. It was 99-100 degrees everyday so AC was critical. In addition the lights in the bedrooms and living space would intermittently not work as well as the outlets. The washer also wasn’t working. The company sent a technician out which would initially fix the issue but then it would fail again. So yeah don’t recommend this place. I requested consideration of at least a partial refund from management given all the issues and of course I’ve heard nothing.

Excellent location!!

Our family of four stayed here for five night and it was exactly what we were looking for. Spacious enough felon everyone and a quick walk to dining and other shops, including a Starbucks for my teens. Property management team was excellent and responsive and quickly dealt with a linen issue we encountered. Highly recommend this an an alternative to a hotel.

The description of the space was not accurate. The design of the space was dangerous. The spiral staircase was oddly configured and a serious falling hazard. There is an opening in the 2nd floor living room to the first floor that any small child could fall through. This space should be limited to adult visitors. It was clean but I would not return.

Big Photo Gap

Before you rent, definitely read the other detailed reviews about how this property in person differs from the photos on the site. The photo lens used for the VRBO listing completely distorts and exaggerates the size and layout of this rental. The only full bathroom is on the entrance level inside the front door and accessible only by a narrow, dark and rickety spiral staircase— a nighttime hazard and daytime inconvenience. And get ready to carry your suitcases up this staircase. The rooms are separated by glass walls (as pictured) but privacy curtains are cheap and don’t even cover the whole window/wall between bedrooms. There is a shower and tiny sink in one bedroom. The toilet closet is separate and accessed from the living room and the door opened right onto the kitchen. The street was closed by construction with zero notice from host that we could only access the apartment by foot—worst at arrival and departure with luggage. The host was VERY attentive to small maintenance concerns during our stay. Large windows and high ceilings are nice. Location close to metro and vibrant neighborhood are big pluses.

Awesome location, but overestimated space!

Once we received the correct entry code, different from originally stated in email, we made easy access into the apartment. It was clearly stated that there were stairs to negotiate to enter the apartment, but I missed that it was a spiral staircase and that one of the full BRs was just off the entry next to the washer/dryer combo down the spiral staircase!! Fortunately, my strong 15 yr old easily got our suitcases up to the main floor. I know that space is priced at a premium in central Paris, but, to say that twelve could sleep here is a gross overestimation!! There were two bedrooms with a double bed each, one with a small en-suite full BR. The third “bedroom” was a 40-45 cm high loft with a double bed over the kitchen attained by continuing up the spiral staircase The two couches on the main floor had pullout capabilities to sleep 4....and supposedly two more could sleep on an air mattress that there would be NO where to place on the floor if we had needed it. If you had a group traveling without suitcases, it MIGHT work, but I find this to be false advertising!! The good news: Great A/C Great location around the corner from a tube stop Great neighborhood with nice bakery/restaurants nearby Great security with double lock from street Great communication from owner( though originally code incorrect was quickly fixed) Overall, a nice place to stay, but only for a group of six max in my estimation.

OK but...

So the pictures are accurate but it's a little confusing to piece together the apartment from the online listing. The only full bathroom is downstairs on the street level and that is the only thing down there. Just an entrance way, a large full bathroom (which was very nice and spacious) and a metal spiral staircase to go up. Don't bring huge luggage or you'll have to drag it up! The upstairs living space is fine. Not super fancy, but fine. The ceiling of the sleeping loft is LOW. You cannot stand upright and there's no place to put a suitcase up there, so my daughter had to keep her suitcases on the floor in the main living area. There is a very small toilet room in the main living area, and then a sink/shower combo (no toilet) off one of the main level bedrooms. We were just a family of four so we made due, but this could be a little weird if you were traveling with a large group or with friends. It was warm while we were in Paris and AC worked very well. Plenty of dishes/etc. in the kitchen. Plenty of plugs / USB connections for phones, etc. Location - there is massive construction on the street and it's blocked off. Kind of a pain with Ubers/cabs, etc. There are prettier neighborhoods in Paris, but this was convenient to the Metro station and walkable to the Louvre, Les Halles, Tuilieres garden, Notre Dame, etc. Too far to walk to the Eiffel Tower. We didn't use the washer/dryer, can't comment on it. Overall - good space for Paris.

Attractive space, with limitations...

This was the third VRBO apartment we rented in Paris for a family reunion in late June. It worked reasonably well for 2 grandparents, a daughter-in-law, and a granddaughter (19). Beds were comfortable. The air conditioning worked well, but does not serve one of the bedrooms. There was a good supply of plates, glasses and tableware. The location is close to the Sentier Metro station and not a long walk from Les Halles. The small kitchen - no dishwasher or oven - and lack of a dining table made eating dinners in a bit of a challenge. Sitting on stools around the peninsula became uncomfortable. Two couches provided the only comfortable seating. The spiral staircase was a challenge, especially at night. The bathroom and bedroom descriptions are misleading. There is one full bathroom, which is on the ground floor with no other living space; trips down and up the spiral staircase are needed to access it. One of the two half baths is captive to the inner bedroom and includes a shower and small basin. The other has a toilet with a small basin mounted on its lid - not very useful. Two of the bedrooms are on the main floor. The third is a sleeping loft with a ceiling height of about 1.2 m (4 ft) and is accessible only via the spiral staircase. The combined Indesit clothes washer/dryer has limited capacity and presented challenges (long cycles). The bathroom limitations and locations, limited seating and dining area, and distribution of the living spaces suggest that more than five people would have difficulty living here for more than a few days. The management company, Merveil, was very responsive and helpful.

Good property great location and communication from the hosts. There are stairs to get to the main level so be ready or if you have guests that can’t go up spiral stairs this will not be for you.

Unpredictable problems very well managed

The apartment is in a beautiful area and public transports are very close. The apartment is cool; even if its not big, we all 7 stayed there (2 beds are suitable for kids). We had problem with warm water and the staff worked hard to solve it. Even if during our staying the problem was not completely solved, we found together a solution. Very professional staff!

Picture of property looked good but apartment was disappointing. Needed a cleaning and some minor repairs. A typical French apartment. Good staging apartment.

Great place for a Paris getaway

Great place to stay in Paris. Walk to the Louvre. Quaint place. Great main room for group to get together and recount the days' activity and plan ahead for the next. Good sleeping arrangements for 8 (our group). Would go back for sure!
