This property was stunning! I loved everything about it. The space, size, amenities, wildlife and 360 views that we were able to see at this property was unreal! The house was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The host Andres, truly cares about this property and knows so much history. He gave a very through property tour and made sure all of our needs were met. He communicated with us months in advance to ensure our arrival. This house can be tricky to get to but the directions were spot on.I would highly recommend this property. It's your own private oasis! I would definitely return to this property.

We had a great stay at Casa Tropical. It is a lovely house, nicely furnished and decorated with a lot of space, well-equipped kitchen, and great amenities especially the relaxing pool and rooftop deck. It is situated in lush green area with plenty of privacy. The location is convenient for going into Manuel Antonio and Quepos(and the many activities in that direction). I do recommend a rental car if you are staying here just for convenience sake.Andres is a friendly and generous host who is eager to assist and respond quickly to issues when they come up.I have no hesitation recommending this great house. It is a great base of operations for all the a.rea has to offer and oasis for relaxation after your adventures.

This was the perfect place for us to stay to explore the coast and mountains around Manuel Antonio. The house accommodated our mixed group of six very comfortably. It was a great place to wake up, take coffee and a pair of binoculars, and sit on the beautiful porches while watching all kinds of birds and wildlife. What really makes this place special though is Andres and Casandra. Andres was in touch with us before we arrived and helped us arrange all of our adventures. He even took us up to Los Campesinos, where they have amazing waterfalls and swinging bridges, and helped us see a lot of great birds. Casandra cooked a delicious traditional Costa Rican meal for us. They were great hosts that made our whole trip much better, and the house and surrounding gardens were perfect.

If you are a Bird or wildlife enthusiast, then you need to stay here! The 360 view from the rooftop was incredible. Andres went above and beyond to make sure that we had every opportunity for photographing our bucket list of birds. He even helped me with tips on calling them in and using my new camera for to capture the best moments. Andres arranged transportation for us from the airport to the house and all the way to LaFortuna afterwards. Kassandra cooked a wonderful dinner for us as well. Manuel and Jose drove us.The pool and rooftop were magical and we saw Scarlett McCaw,Toucans, capuchins, howler, and squirrel monkeys up close. What a treat! Andres took us to a birding reserve nearby, where they served us a traditional breakfast and we saw some amazing birds! This was our favorite. We had a great deal of trouble figuring out the exchange rates for colones though, and the drivers, tour guides, etc. wanted cash most of the time instead of credit cards. Steve had told us about this in the Quepos area and he was so right .The flora and fauna were exquisite around the house. The driveway up was intimidating during the rainy season, but we didn't have to worry about it. Highly recommend this beautiful, comfortable home! Manuel Antonio Park had nice wildlife too, but we found it very crowded even in the low season.

The host was very welcoming and kind. Pay attention to his directions and you will drive straight to the house. Our concierge, Andres, was amazing. All of his recommendations were fabulous. The house, the grounds, the people and the animals made Casa Tropical a place that I would love to come back to someday soon.
Scarlet macaw - The scarlet macaw and all the other animals pictured were seen almost daily at the house.
Red-lored amazon - Seen in groups, along with two other types of parrots
White faced capuchin - The monkeys were my favorite

The house and grounds were beautiful and Andres and the team were fantastic! They take a lot of pride in maintaining the house for the owner and were very knowledgeable about the area. We loved staying and would come back again. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay at Casa Tropical. Short drive to Manuel Antonio and the numerous beaches. Steve was great and provided excellent directions to the house. Highlights of the house include viewing the wildlife from the rooftop patio (Macaws, Toucans, and Monkeys who visit daily) and a beautiful pool to cool off after a day of touring the sites. Absolutely beautiful sunset from the roof. Highly recommended and would rent again.

I just checked out this morning and I can wait to go back. Outstanding property- we saw tons of birds, mammals, butterflies and reptiles from the two incredible decks. Our kids got up early every day to go watch birds and monkeys. Andres was an amazing concierge, answering questions and making reservations for activities and dinner. One of the most beautiful properties I’ve ever stayed in, and the kindest host, made this one of the most exceptional vacations.

This place was a major highlight of our trip. The property was beautiful and the pool was a great escape from the heat. The house had everything we needed for our stay. Andres was great to have around to help when we needed also. Pura Vida!

Beautiful place

Casa tropical is a beautiful place filled with the most amazing wildlife. The pool and garden are so peaceful and relaxing. I enjoyed watching the birds every morning on the rooftop patio. We had daily monkey visits. I loved this place so much I didn't want to leave.

Perfect Vaca

Awesome place with a ton of character and awesome jungle surroundings. Saw a ton of wildlife everyday and enjoyed the pool area to relax and recharge. Close to Quepos and Manuel Antonio for eating and shopping. Andres and his family were awesome and invaluable for our excursions. I would go back and stay here again any day.

Amazing stay

This house is wonderful! Beautiful property. Lots of wildlife. Host was so helpful with setting up tours or just giving advice about where to shop/eat. Bedrooms are downstairs, living area upstairs. Laundry can be done but no washer/dryer to do your own laundry while there. We would stay here again!

Casa Tropical is a fantastic vacation destination!

Gorgeous property, perfect for large family gatherings. We spent a lot of time on the upper level watching the birds, monkeys and even a sloth. The property manager was very helpful in organizing activities for us. The pool was fantastic as was the entire house. The road up to the house can be hard to find but once you are there you won’t want to leave!

Amazing Property

Stunning place. Balconies everywhere including the fantastic roof top patio. Pool was perfect for our kids. House set up was perfect. Highly recommend.

Perfect for our family

We want to stay in Costa Rica in a house and experience the local flavor without staying in a fancy all-inclusive. We loved the beauty of the house and nature and even had monkeys come up to the house in three different days.

Great stay!

We loved our stay at Casa Tropical! Andres was good to communicate with and welcomed us when we arrived. The house was clean, comfortable and spacious. We enjoyed relaxing on the verandas and in the pool. The road up the hill was a bit rough, but manageable and it was only a short drive to Quepos and Manuel Antonio park. Would stay again for sure.

Wonderful Home

Our family loved Casa Tropical! The accommodations surpassed our expectations. We loved the animal visits - squirrel monkeys, scarlet macaws, toucans, and much more! We were ready to stay forever by the time our trip was over. We hope to return in the future!

Amazing view with tropical birds and monkeys

We stayed for four days and it was amazing! The house is very roomy with pool and the upper deck allows you to view all the birds and monkeys in trees. Andres was available for planning excursions and Cassandra and Anya cooked us a delicious dinner one night. Definitely would he back!

Unbelievable 8 day stay for our family of 8.

The property is gorgeous, Andres, Kassandra, Ana were wonderful people and hosts, Stephen a great and organized owner. The house was perfect for our family of 6 adults and 2 teenagers. We enjoyed the monkeys, pool, serene area, and especially our two dinners with those three! An experience to remember with joy!
