Fantastic place

We had wonderful time in this place. We saw goats, picked figs and enjoy the views. Close to Rethymno and there several restaurants near by

Amazing views, enough space and good spot to discover the island.

We loved to stay at your place. With 2 families there is enough space and rooms to stay in one place. The pool is bigger than we expected! In the village are enough places to eat and drink. The beautiful beach is nearby.Recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Lucia! Morfo our host was one of the best we’ve had by Vrbo - she came to meet us and even brought pastries! She had lots of knowledge and suggestions for the holiday. When we accidentally locked ourselves out, she had a locksmith there in only half an hour and all sorted - thank you! Our teenage kids loved the pool (as did my wife and I!), played table tennis and pool (the snooker kind) and had lovely evening meals overlooking the stunning view of the sea with the sunsets being unforgettable. We day tripped to beaches, swam with turtles in lake Kourmas, wandered the ancient ruins of Knossos, swam in the sea after a speedboat ride and spent hours roaming the streets and shopping in beautiful Rethymno and charming Chania. We had delicious meals out and really enjoyed walking from the villa to the local taverna in the village where we had a nice meal outdoors. Highly recommended especially for a family holiday and particularly for those who are comfortable driving and want to get away from it all.

Very nice and well situated property

The house is very spacefull, fully equipped. The garden and the pool are wonderful. We also found the position very strategic between both and south coasts. It was very clean and confortable. The host Evmorfia was absolutely adorable, helpful and so kind. It was such a pleasure to be hosted by her.

It was grand!

Villa Lucia was perfect for our vacation. The setting was ideal and the house was beautiful. I wish we had more time. My only request is that better lamps be provided. Other than overhead lights, it was hard to get enough light to read by after dark.

We had a wonderful stay, the villa was perfect in every way. Evmorfia our host was very accommodating. We organised car hire/travel/taxis through her that were also excellent (Muse Travel). The surrounding areas are absolutely beautiful, Kournas lake was are favourite! There are a couple of tavernas nearby too which served fantastic food. Baja beach for a day trip of luxury was fab, so was going into Rethymno with loads of shops and tavernas set by the port. In terms of the villa: It was perfect for our family of 8 with huge amounts of space, the weather was excellent so we did spend a lot of time at the villa as the pool area and bbq area were gorgeous. The pool was cleaned a few times a week by the team and also the property was cleaned halfway through our stay, the standard of the cleanliness was excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at the property again and really hope we visit again soon! Can't thank Evmorfia and her team enough for a perfect stay! Thank you

Vielen Dank für den schönen Aufenthalt, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.Wir waren mit 10 Erwachsen zum Familientreffen. Wir konnten uns alle bequem in der Küche aufhalten.Leider waren Bestecke genau für 10 Personen abgezählt, und wir vermissten große Pfannen.Die Betten waren super. Im kleinen Zimmer mit Etagenbett fehlt aber Schrankfläche. Im Wohnbereich ist soviel Platz, sodass wir dort auch mit 5 Pärchen tanzen konnten. Der Außenbereich lädt zum Verweilen oder für Aktivitäten ein, die Bilanz zwischen Schatten und Sonne kann man sehr gut nutzen. Die Außendusche ist sehr nützlich.

Schönes Haus aber sehr in die Jahre gekommen

Das Gute vorab: -die Lage ist toll - das Haus ist schon groß für 3 Paare oder Familien - es gibt eine Tischtennisplatte und Volleyballfeld – die vermietende Agentur ist sehr nett Das nicht so gute ist : -zwar steht in der Beschreibung das 3 Duschen vorhanden sind, defakto funktioniert nur eine, die Badewanne hat auch keinen funktionietenden Duschkopf -auf Nachfrage wurde nachgesehen und wir erhielten wir Entschuldigung ein paar Gebäckstücke, leider wurde es nicht repariert und wir haben zu 9. eine Dusche benutzt -insgesamt tut es einem leid um das schöne Haus- die Möbel sind wacklig, die Türen der Schränke sind schief und fallen ab, die Balkonauflagen vetschlissen und zerrissen, die Katzen der Umgebung haben sich häuslich eingerichtet und liegen ständig auf den Auflagen (dadurch rden die natürlich dreckig und haarig) und der Pool ist so kalt das unsere Kinder immer nur als “ Mutprobe" rein gegangen sind. Schwierig war das ganze weil unsere Männer Handwerker sind und natürlich noch viel mehr Dinge sehen, als uns Frauen schon aufgefallen ist. Insgesamt also sehr schade.

Dear Ute, I would like to thank you for your time to review and explain me what went not so right in the villa during your stay. We take very seriously all your suggestions and we always make sure to improve the equipment provided in the villa so that all guests enjoy and relax in our villa! So what we already have done since you left to improve our service/ amenities is described below: - Once you explained me during your stay about the problem in the big bathroom I came personally there , checked both showers and contacted the technician who explained the shower with the low pressure can not be fixed as we need to remove the tiles in order to replace the water pipe inside the wall and the whole system of the shower. We have already scheduled the replacement for November as this job can not be done during guests ' stay. -As for the shower in the jacuzzi I explained you during your stay that I ordered a new shower and I was waiting for my order. Unfortunately I received it just 2 days before and the technician replaced it the day you checked out. During your stay through you could use the fully operational shower in the other 2 bathrooms - the small bathroom on the ground floor and the second bathroom upstairs. - About the cats outside the villa I am very sorry that made you feel uncomfortable as you didn't mention anything during your stay and therefore I assumed that you like them like all previous guests.The villa is located in the country side and its quite often to have stray cats in the outdoor area of the villa. Stray Cats become very friendly as a result of all the attention they receive from the guests and especially the children. We kindly ask from guests not to feed them in the outdoor area of the villa but only near the parking area close to the olive trees. If I had known earlier that you don't feel comfortable with the cat , I would have asked from a neighbour to keep them outside his place. -About the water in the pool , we don't advertise a heated pool and the installation of the pool can not be converted into a heated pool. The water temperature in the pool in October is about 18-20 degrees of Celsius when the outside average temperature is 25-27 degrees. - All equipment and furniture will be checked and replaced in order to make sure we provide all our guests a comfortable stay for their holiday! Kreta mit Ausblick

Haben mit 7 Erwachsenen und 2 Kindern 10 Tage Urlaub gemacht. Sind sehr zufrieden, alles wie beschrieben. Besonders schön diese Aussicht, großer Pool, natürlicher Schatten von alten Olivenbäumen! Klimaanlage, Gasgrill und Gemauerter Grill. Die Bäder und die Küche sind in die Jahre gekommen. Unsere Vermieterin sagte uns das hier bereits Renovierungen geplant sind. Es ist ein altes Haus, an dem immer was gemacht wird. Kommunikation mit Morfia super. Vielen Dank. Gute Lage. Gute Ausflugsmöglchkeiten. Mietwagen zu empfehlen. Der nahegelegene Strand ist ein Mix aus Kies und Sand. Im Wasser ist sind. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
