Very cute cottage, looked very new, super clean, comfy bed.Easy little walk to be downtown at Pier Village area with restaurants.There is not really a beach or water view from the cottage but water just 50 yds away at end of street.

This is a lovely cottage in a great location close to shops, restaurants, and sunsets at the Pier. We had everything we needed.

The house was perfect for a couple! Very close to the pier. Loved the quiet street. The yard was beautiful! Enjoyed every minute of our time there. The construction of the house did block the view, so it is probably time to update that information on the listing.

Nice Little Cottage

The cottage was very nice, it was mentioned in the listing that there was a house being constructed next-door, but I did not think that it would be obstructing the ocean front view because it stated that it made the view better but I’m not even sure if it was listed as ocean front. I know the host has no control over this so I don’t blame them for that. Everything else was good but no personalized touches or anything within the house even coffee would’ve been great. The porch swing is lovely and the vibes were nice and yard is well kept. Thank you.

Loved Honeymoon Cottage

We loved this gem of a rental! It was just as pictured. Spotless, adorable, comfortable and just perfect. The location was great too!

Very Nice, but no more ocean views

Very nice place, but I wish I had known about the giant house being built that blocks almost all view of the water. This was my 50th birthday getaway and my husband 24yrs of active duty military retirement. All I wanted to do was sit on that swing and sip my coffee in the morning while looking out at the water, and sip my wine at night while the sun went down. There is now a huge cinder block home being built. Which anyone coming for the week I would imagine for the next year you’ll get to enjoy the sounds of construction. No fault of anyone’s just not sure I would have picked this place had I known about the ocean view being gone. Could have paid the same for a much bigger place with a pool. The beach access close is gone in the evening as the water is hitting the rocks, no evening walks on the beach. The beach access close is way to close to the pier for my swimming enjoyment. So we had to spend extra for a golf cart to get to the beach access that was not near the pier. Especially since they caught a shark out there a week or so ago. We really did enjoy our stay, even thought the above doesn’t sound like it. It just I wish I had known about the house being built and the beach by the house, not really being a beach. Oh and there were huge ants that invaded the bathroom, good thing was they didn’t bite.
This is now the “ocean view”.

Recommend !

Perfect for a couple! Literally everything at walking distance. I would return in the future. Only complaint I have is that there was a day the landscaping crew was out when we were trying to enjoy the time out on the house so we decided to leave while they did what they had to do. Also had large roach bugs sneak in the house somehow. Wasn’t a problem for us but others might find that rather unpleasant.

Lovely and very cozy little treehouse getaway

This cottage is surrounded by a beautiful old tree with very long branches that stretched all the way around us.I really did feel as though we were up in a treehouse. I loved the swing on the side porch that overlooked a beautiful garden. We could feel the ocean breezes at night. The cottage was super clean and comfortable. I loved the big walk in shower. Even though it was quiet here, we were in walking distance to Pier Village with fun gift shops and great restaurants. My favorites were a tour of the lighthouse museum, The Nest Restaurant, and The Sea Grill Inn. We also loved the breakfast restaurant called Three Little Birds. The owner, Melanie, was extremely helpful and responsive. She gave us some ideas for things to do and see. We loved moving walks on the East end of the Island beaches. We will cherish our stay at this romantic cottage. Everyone on the Island is super friendly and welcoming. Thank you Melanie.

Cute Beach Cottage!

We loved the little cottage overlooking St. Simon Sound! It was a perfect getaway and everything we needed was within walking distance. Great restaurants in the Village! Melanie was awesome to communicate with and even though we didn’t get enough bath towels by mistake, she brought clean ones right away!There is construction on the lot next door, which caused some unexpected noise, and we wish there was a washer/dryer, but overall the stay was wonderful and we would recommend this cottage.

Great stay in Honeymoon Cottage

Property was very clean and comfortable for two in a quiet neighborhood. We loved the ocean view! Location was very convenient and an easy walk to restaurants and shops in the Village. Host communication was excellent.

It has been a blessing to me to grow up on St. Simons Island and now to rear my own children here. Surrounded by the ocean, marshes, rivers, moss-draped live oaks, a day does not pass where I am not in awe of the beauty around me. I am an artist by nature and education and a licensed real estate professional by trade.

This honeymoon beach cottage is located in my favorite part of this beautiful island. The tidal beach here is the most secluded on the island. The sunsets are beautiful. If the tide is low, you can walk down the beach to the west at sunset and see and hear the bagpipers playing at Sea Island's Lodge. If the tide is high, you can watch the sunset from the grassy common area and enjoy the refreshing breezes. The beach cottage is a short walk up the beach or through a tree-lined neighborhood from the the heart of the island with village, pier, lighthouse, parks, restaurants, festivals, concerts, and shops. Although the cottage is close to the activity, it is tucked away on a side avenue by the ocean and surrounded by moss-draped live oaks. I love bird-watching from the front porch while enjoying morning coffee. Some of my fondest memories of my childhood and that of my children have been enjoyed on the beach and beachfront lawns of this part of the island. This part of the island has a rich history of hospitality, I am thrilled to be able to share this special place with others.

The location is tops and so is the privacy. The cottage itself is elegant, charming, and spacious for a couple. The front porch is delightful. The high ceilings and many windows are a plus. Garden setting, coffee set-up, porch and tree swings, Live oak and citrus trees, plus a couple of bikes for cruising the island will make your get-away at this honeymoon beach cottage even better.
