Perfect stay once again

Beautiful stay at hillside lodge Rayader our 3rd time staying at this location always very clean such a lovely location and the views are out of this world especially in the hot tub that’s always clean! Only thing that we was slightly disappointed in was that hillside lodge was advised with an egg chair that wasn’t there on arrive it’s always nice to have a comfy chair to admire the beautiful views with! Other than that perfect stay can’t wait for our next stay.

Fantastic Stay At Hillside Lodge!

We’ve had a fantastic stay at Hillside Lodge! The lodge was lovely, spotlessly clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing break. We will definitely miss the amazing views — they were simply beautiful! We can also highly recommend the food at the Triangle Inn. Everything was homemade and absolutely delicious. We’ve loved our time in Wales and have made some wonderful memories. We can’t wait to come back for our next visit!

A fabulous place!

Me and my partner came here for my 30th birthday and it did not disappoint! The only disappointing park was that we couldn't stay for longer! It was fabulous, the views were outstanding. The lodge was clean and very modern with EVERYTHING you need. We will definitely be back!

Lovely lodge but not great service.

We had a lovely stay at the lodge. It was beautifully kept, very clean and a really nice place to spend a few days. The only downside was our experience with the customer service. We didn’t always feel comfortable when communicating with them and felt that some of our concerns were dismissed rather than dealt with and felt looked down upon. Which unfortunately made us feel a little unwelcome. Paul, the caretaker, was fantastic throughout our stay. He was approachable, kind and extremely helpful, and really made a difference to our experience. Thank you, Paul!

Mid week break

We loved the location, being surrounded by fields and wildlife. Elan Valley nearby was beautiful. We were lucky with good weather. Then bed was ok, you need to be fairly able bodied to climb up there.

Great location and beautiful surroundings but accommodation had problems!

The surroundings are beautiful here! There's so much wildlife everywhere you look, red kites and bats flying around at certain parts of the day is a highlight. The property's are on a working farm so you have all the farm animals as well as a few alpacas also. That being said, it's a working farm so there's lots of fly's around, we took the ribbons you hang up. These are a must otherwise they overun the place and become very annoying when your trying to sleep! I personally don't think our property was cleaned before we arrived as there was dead fly's swatted on the ceiling and the bedding had other people's make up on it! We rang the owners who came within 20 minutes and cleaned the place from top to bottom! We couldn't fault her, she was great! We had a few issues with the boiler as well over two days, but that got fixed as well, again that certain owner got things sorted for us and she was great once again. We had our problems BUT we had a good week. The highlights for us were, the surroundings, the hot tub and the wildlife.

A perfect stay

We booked the hill side lodge for a girls 30th birthday weekend trip and enjoyed every moment. The lodge is very spacious and provided a very comfortable nights sleep. We throughly enjoyed the hot tub, and seeing all the animals roaming around. The lodge was in perfect location to the sights and walks we wished to visit on our trip. We will be back in the summer.

Great weekend break

A perfectly located holiday village nestled in the wonderful Woman countryside providing a range of accomodation types. Hillside Lodge provided a balance of access to the countryside with luxury and comfort. After a full day of rambling around one of the abundant local attractions, it was a pleasure to return back to a well equipped lodge and relaxing hot tub.

Lovely break away cabins are perfect this is our second time staying here we've loved it everything perfect. Bathroom a little worn but everything else is spot on would definitely recommend. ☺️

Incredible!

We stayed at Hillside Lodge for a Valentines break and it was nothing short of amazing. The views you wake up to in the morning, the pod itself and just the overall experience. We hope to make visiting the lodge a yearly tradition and would definitely recommend a visit!! :)

60th birthday prezzie

Great weekend in Rhayader- very relaxing, great weather, host was lovely. Visited Elan Valley & the Crown Inn on the Saturday night for a meal. Lodge had great amenities, storage, welcome box - everything you needed for a great weekend. Already a returning customer and will be back :)

Perfect Mini Hen Weekend

We booked a short stay as a mini hen weekend, the aim of the weekend was to destress and relax. That is exactly what this property provided, the most relaxed environment with comfy beds, relaxing indoor and outdoor living areas and the most beautiful views. The hot tub was spotlessly clean and the perfect temperature. The property is close enough to areas with lovely cafe’s, pubs and restaurants but also far enough away to feel like you’re in your own bubble. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will 100% return.

Beautiful setting & lodge

Hillside lodge is a beautiful cabin/lodge with stunning surroundings. My partner and I only stayed 1 night but could happily do a week (if you like quiet) Self check in and out so no need to find any staff, pulled straight up to the lodge with ease. Lodge was clean and tidy with everything ready that we had ordered. If you’re not very ‘spritely’ we wouldn’t recommend sleeping up top due to the steps to ascend but nevertheless a stunning nights stay. Sadly we had a cloudy evening so didn’t get any stargazing but it did t stop us spending the evening in the hot tub. Highly recommend this place if you want to get away from the rat race of city / work life.

Lovely stay

Absolute gorgeous cabin, the hot tub was amazing. There was a lovely welcome package when we got there we had marshmallows, Welsh biscuits, tea, coffee, milk, toilet roll, towels and wood for the fire which I wasn’t expecting. The only downside was the amount of flies that get in if you leave the doors open but they do have fly strips. Could possibly do with extra pillows but other than that it was an amazing few days away. Claire was amazing answering any questions I had and helping out. The site is quite a drive to anywhere so be prepared to drive, but the views on the site are beautiful.
