The apartment is in a great location. As others have noted, it is on the 5th floor without an elevator. The stairs are made of stone and are worn down and slippery. Managing heavy suitcases will be challenging especially on the way down. The A/C worked very well. We did not cook, so we can't comment on the kitchen. The rating is not 5 stars because of a few major issues. One, the building door code we were given was incorrect, and the local contact insisted that it was correct when we doublechecked. There is a physical key, but it would not turn, so we were locked out. We were able to get back in only because a resident of the building happened to come out and was kind enough to give us the code. (Later we figured out that the key would turn if you pull it back a little, not push all the way in.) This could have been a disaster had it not been for the kind neighbor. Second, when we booked, the listing mentioned a sofa bed and a double bed in the living room. There is neither. The sofa does not pull out, and it is too small for anyone to sleep on. There is an extra mattress under the bed in the main bedroom that you can put on the floor in the living room, which we only found by accident; the local contact did not tell us about it even after we messaged him to ask. We notified the main office of these issues, and they said they would address them, so hopefully, it won't be a problem for others. Once we got past these issues, we had a great stay.
