This property was very well situated in Cannaregio in a safe, tucked away side street. The view of the grand canal was stunning and is likely the reason for the price associated with the rental. Other than those positive items, my family and I had consistent issues with the rental starting day 1 where one of the window shades was broken (so we could not see the view of the canal from inside the house) and the smart TV was not in fact smart or connected to the internet. Someone came the next day to fix the window shade but after an hour or so of tinkering with the TV said they weren't sure what the issue was and would reach out to the owner to see if they could personally help. On the evening of Day 3 while doing a small load of laundry the power went out entirely in the apartment. I was able to reach someone with the rental company who walked me through the process of getting the lights back on after about an hour and a half in the dark. I was told to not overuse items which might short the circuits. We made sure going forward to not have any electronics running at the same time. The next night after a day around the town, we got home with the plan to cook in the kitchen when upon heating up the oven we lost power again. This time the solution that had worked the night before did not work. I called and spoke to someone else who rudely told me to 'read the instructions manual' and that he couldn't talk becuase he was on the bus. We sat in the dark for 2 hours befo
