We invite you to relax and reset, living la dolce vita during a stay at our charming apartment Terra Rossa located in Bagni di Lucca - a historic spa town nestled peacefully amongst the rolling countryside of Northern Tuscany.

Terra Rossa is a contemporary development that sits on a peaceful hillside, blanketed with aromatic woodland. Although set only a quick walk away from the main street, Via Umberto 1, it is blissfully quiet - the only sounds being birdsong, the lullaby of crickets and, occasionally, the local dogs chatting with one-another.

Wake up in Terra Rossa to stunning views from a spacious terrace where you can drink in the views and your coffee before strolling to the delights of the Main Street, situated 5 minutes away, home to cafes, bars, restaurants, shops and a twice weekly food market satisfying all of your needs. With a stunning local pool overlooking the lush green hills that surround the spa town and the great outdoors on your doorstep, let your adventure begin!

Nestled peacefully amongst the rolling countryside of Northern Tuscany, flanked by hills blanketed with aromatic woodland and hilltop villages, and with the Val di Lima river running through its heart, is the historic town of Bagni di Lucca - your destination.

Family host

This location was very conviently located to downtown. It’s an easy walk to shopping and restaurants. The apartment was immaculate, comfortable, and well equipped. Parking was easy. The host was very responsive and informative of the local area. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Lovely apartment in the centre of Bagni di Lucca

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Terra Rossa apartment. It is perfectly located, just a 5 minute walk down to town where you will find cafes, bars, gelaterias, restaurants and numerous shops, including a small supermarket. The apartment had everything you need for a comfortable stay, including comfy seating in the living room and plenty of cooking utensils for preparing food on the stove or oven provided. The highlight of the apartment has to be the spacious terrace and beautiful views surrounding it. It is very peaceful and quiet up there. The owners were very responsive and helpful whenever we had any questions. We would definitely recommend this place, and Bagni di Lucca as a town to visit.

Great apartment for exploring North Tuscany

Terra Rossa is a great apartment to use as a base for exploring this fabulous but lesser visited area of North Tuscany. The apartment was perfect for our party of four with everything we needed for our 6 night stay. Kitchen area is small but well equipped. The terrace is a sun trap and great for early evening drinks. Location is quiet and on street parking was never a problem.It is a short walk down into Bagni di Lucca where there are all the amenities you need. The Conad supermarket is very well stocked. We ate in La Lira and Circolo dei Forestieri. The latter is particularly good and very reasonably priced for the quality of the food and local wine.There is lots to see in the area. We visited some amazing small hill top towns and villages where we were often the only tourists around. Lucchio, Montefegatesi, Barga and Trassilico were particularly lovely. Not all the villages have restaurants, but it is really worth making sure you get to eat in Rifugio La Mesta in Trassilico.Lucca and Pisa are more major towns within an hour's drive.Would very happily return to Terra Rossa in the future. Highly recommended.

Gute ruhige Lage in einem hellhörigen Haus, mit sehr ruhigen rücksichtsvollen Nachbarn. Eine Klimaanlage haben wir nicht vermisst, aber Fliegengitter an den Fenstern wären schön gewesen.

Steph and Guy live in London and have enjoyed spending their summers staying at Terra Rossa, owned by Guy's mother, for many years.

They enjoy the laid back character of Bagni di Lucca, immersing themselves in the Tuscan lifestyle whether that be having a cappuccino and a breakfast pastry in a cafe with the locals and watching the world go by, going to the market in the town square and preparing glorious lunches and dinners back at the apartment, spending days at the local pool in its truly glorious setting or using the apartment as a base for trips to Lucca, Florence or further afield.

Terra Rossa is situated in a contemporary development that sits on a peaceful hillside and consists of 24 flats. It is situated a quick 5 minute walk from the Main Street, via Umberto I, home to cafes, bars, restaurants and shops.

There is a beautiful view from the terrace, which is spacious and not only perfect for sunbathing, but ready for all of your al fresco dining needs with a garden table and chair set. We promise the only sounds you’ll hear are birdsong and the local dogs chatting with one-another! It is a lovely clean and modern apartment, our home away from home, providing everything one needs for getting away from the hustle and bustle of your daily lives.
