Always Love SSI

We normally stay at a nearby property, but needed to relocate to Beach Club on relatively short notice due to storm damage. The rental unit in Beach Club was delightful, and we very much enjoyed our stay.We had one plumbing issue that was quickly resolved, The unit was clean, nicely furnished and well equipped. No complaints!!

Perfect Beach Vacation!

The Beach Club is a the perfect location and this condo was the best. First floor meant we only had to wait for the elevator when we were loading and unloading. Gorgeous courtyard & beach view. Really enjoyed the layout of this unit as well.

In need of updates

No hot water in master bathroom, wiring is confusing in the bedroom, no lightbulb in one bedroom lamp, no direction’s for tv, guest bathroom shower curtain was falling down. We expected a little more I guess, but overall it was an enjoyable stay.

We would set it cooler so when we would come back at night it would be cool. Noooo the owners have it set so it goes back to 74. In south GA 74 does not work. Also do not go barefooted, your feet will turn black, due to uncleanliness.

Cute Condo on St. Simons

Reviewer Comments: This condo was super cute and in a great location on the first floor. The beds were comfy, the view was great, and the space was clean. A few issues- the place needed cleaned just a little bit more. I had to clean under the coffee maker and the dishwasher wasn't emptied before our stay, which seems minor, but is a small attention to detail.In addition, the WiFi in this unit was TERRIBLE. Other condos have had their own WiFi and this one was advertised as such AND had log in info posted around the condo to WiFi that didn't exist. When I went to the Beach Club office, they were not very helpful and tried to tell me that my computer/phone was 'searching' for other connections, which was just not true. I would stay at Beach Club again, as this was our 2nd year here and 5th at St. Simons, but I would want better WiFi and just a little cleaner at the start. Real Escapes is great and my review is more for the condo itself and not the company. I think it was Beach Club that fell a little flat.

Great last minute vacation spot

What a quick and painless process to rent this condo on the beautiful property of the Beach Club. It was a last minute decision and I’m so glad I did. The property was not crowded so we could enjoy ourselves.

Nice room, great view

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The room was well maintained and convenient to the beach and food. A very nice secluded area with direct beach access. Parking can be a little tight, but the view from the balcony makes you forget that.Only issue was Wifi not being useable. I was here for work, and this caused me some minor problems. Using the "business center" was not an option as our computers are restricted via VPN.

Girls Getaway

The property was great. The linens on the bed were dirty in one bedroom as was the wall. It appeared someone had an accident and it was never cleaned. The master bedroom was great and the bed was very comfortable. We had a great time.

Probably won't be back

We had a nice trip - in spite of our condo. Be prepared to walk about a half-mile to the water from your room. While you have a nice view of the courtyard and the water (way off in the distance) you're not really ON the water. It's a hike across the hot sand to get to the ocean. The pool is nice and we got smart after our first day and just decided to stay at the pool rather than trek to the ocean in the heat. The condo was adequate, however, it left a lot to be desired in terms of cleanliness and equipment. There were absolutely NO dish towels or dishcloths. How are you supposed to wash dishes (or your hands) Good thing we brought a few with us. Minimal towels in the bathroom meant washing laundry mid-trip. The floors were sticky and our feet would be black at night even after our showers. The beds had no pillowcases and the blankets for the sofa bed had a funky smell. The secondary bedroom had a plethora of "stuff" under the bed, including old food and junk. It's obvious the cleaning of the unit between tenants is not the most detailed. The washer had mold around the opening. The fridge and freezer smelled of fish. The master shower water is reversed (hot is cold, and it took a while for us to figure it out - after a few cold showers) And the most annoying part was the fact that the AC kept resetting itself to 80 degrees. Ok, it's June in South Georgia - and I paid a hefty sum to stay here. I should be able to pick the temperature of the condo while I'm staying here! It is obvious the owners are more interested in pinching pennies and cutting corners than they are in providing a nice vacation unit for their guests. We had a nice family trip and did not let the condo spoil our trip, but we will most definitely not be back there again.

In addition, the draperies pictures have NO back out curtains. Unless you enjoy rising at the literal crack of dawn, be sure to ask if your future units have black out curtains. In addition, the hall bath shower curtain rod barely holds up the curtain. Very disappointing. We love the Beach Club and have never had these annoyances with any other stay. Although we booked through Hodnett Cooper for our other stays, we expected the same level of oversight , but did not get it .

Perfect family getaway!

Clean, comfortable condo! This place was great for a long weekend getaway with the family. The beds were comfy, the unit was clean and quiet, and the kitchen was well stocked. Pool and beach are just steps away. Several restaurants and shops within walking distance. View from the balcony is beautiful! We can't wait to come back!

Great location

The view was nice. The condo was very dated and scarce on supplies. Broken cork screw. Small bar soap. Most VRBO that I've stayed in have some small shampoos, body wash, Kleenex. The deck was nice.
