Nyd spektakulær sø og havudsigt, fantastiske solnedgange og din egen private strand fra vores rummelige Marthas Vineyard Lakeside hjem! Der er masser af plads til familieferier, små gruppeforeninger og overløb til større øshændelser. Set på den østlige kant af Lake Tashmoo ser huset vest over søen og ud over det over Vineyard Sound til Elizabeth-øerne og Cape Cod.

Beliggende på en og en halv hektar af prime lakefront off Herring Creek Road, huset er kun en kilometer fra downtown Vineyard Haven. Du har nem adgang til alt, hvad øen har at byde på, eller du kan bare blive hjemme og 'komme væk fra det hele'. Slap af i solskinnet på hoveddækket eller i skyggen af det overdækkede ovenpå dæk, mens du tager den spektakulære udsigt og føler den kølige brise, der kommer ud af søen. Gå omkring 50 meter fra huset til kajakroning, sejlsport, klatring eller en behagelig svømmetur i søen. Eller gå .3 miles til Wilfrids Pond Beach eller .7 miles til Lake Tashmoo Town Beach. Mink Meadows Golf Club er også inden for gåafstand (.9 mile).

Nye køkkenmaskiner (rækkevidde, køleskab og opvaskemaskine) installeret marts 2019. Et andet køleskab på lavere niveau giver ekstra plads til drikkevarer og mad til din familie. Masser af retter, vinglas og serveringsretter leveres. Polstrede vinduespladser, bøger, legetøj og spil er tilgængelige for at forbedre dit ophold. Dette er vores hjem, og vi glæder os til at dele det med dig og din familie.

Faciliteterne inkluderer premium kabel-tv med Netflix, højhastigheds-internet og wi-fi og telefon service med ubegrænset indenlandsk opkald. Der er fladskærms-tv i soveværelse og stue. Huset er udstyret med mange USB-opladningsporte til dine personlige enheder.

A fabulous vacation home on Lake Tashmoo with glorious sunset views enjoyed by all! The host, Tim, was extremely attentive and communicative. The house was immaculate, cozy and had many thoughtful amenities. Kayaking on the lake was a very easy process, and we had delightful experiences communing with nature. One of the loveliest cottages we have ever rented, and we will definitely return!

Disconnect and unwind in nature

This home is all about the location! My family and I stayed here for a wedding, and we were able to bike from the ferry to the house in under 10 minutes and to Oak Bluffs in just over 25 - beautiful and scenic all the way. While we were at the home, we cooked breakfasts in the well-equipped kitchen and enjoyed coffee on the deck. We loved making cocktails to watch the unbelievable sunsets over Lake Tashmoo and the ocean - without another sound other than those from nature. So peaceful! The house itself is basic, but comfortable, especially the beds. We also loved making a fire in the wood fire place - the home was even stocked with wood for us! A very memorable stay!

Beautiful spot

This was our 2nd stay and we absolutely love it. The view is so relaxing and peaceful The house is very clean and well-stocked. The owners have thought of everything to make the stay comfortable. Thank you to the Macys for sharing their home.

Comfy house in a gorgeous spot

This is a very comfortable house in a lovely location, right on Tashmoo Pond. The home, which has everything one could need, is very user-friendly, with many thoughtful and creative touches. The owners are responsive and easy to communicate with. We would stay here again.

A July 4th to remember

Loved this place. Great size, multiple puzzles, games, stocked kitchen and garage. A short trip in Vineyard Haven, Oak Bluffs and Edgartown. The place was perfect there on the water although a short walk to Tashmoo Beach is recommended just be ready for a narrow winding dirt road back to the property.

Peaceful Vacation at Lake Tashmoo House

This house on Lake Tashmoo was amazing! It has beautiful views of the lake and ocean. It is walking distance to the ocean at Lake Tashmoo Town Beach. It is peaceful and secluded, but Vineyard Haven and Oak Bluffs are just a short drive for eating out and other activities. The well-equipped kitchen also made staying home for dinner a pleasure. Tim communicated well and this made the logistics of our stay really easy. A perfect place to experience MV!

Sibling birthday reunion

We planned a sibling reunion with spouses to celebrate our 65th, 70th and 75th birthdays together on the Vineyard. Tim was an incredible host, in correspondence with us before and during our stay to ensure that we had everything we needed and were well taken care of. The house is well stocked and we were greeted with a welcome basket of goodies to get our celebrating off to a good start. We had only one problem with an ornery oven that did not want to warm up. Tim had an electrician there within the day. The charcoal grill also saved the day as an easy backup. Although we were excited to explore the island, we spent most of our time on the deck, taking in the extraordinary view and watching one of the most magnificent sunsets we have ever seen. As promised, there is easy access to a swimming beach at the pond below the house, and an ocean beach an easy walk down the road. A very special spot!

A wonderful vacation.

We have been vacationing on MV for years so we are very familiar with many parts of the island. We love the area around Lake Tashmoo and this property was wonderfully situated with a private path to a wonderful beach. Warm shallow water never more than 5ft at high tide. Our 7 and 4 yo grand daughters loved it. Swimming and kayaking from the beach was wonderful. The property was clean and the property owner was very easy to communicate with. The sunsets were spectacular and we had clear skies enough to see the Milky Way one night and vivid lightning storms across the sound on another night. We cannot say enough about how well this property met our needs and exceeded our expectations.

Rest and relaxation at LakeTashmoo

This property was everything that we had hoped for! It was a wonderful oasis for a girls' weekend away! We loved that the house truly felt like a home. The view of the lake and the property was so beautiful. We enjoyed coffee on the deck in the mornings and evenings looking at the stars. It's remote, but perfectly situated! Thank you Tim for being such a wonderful host from afar! I hope to go back again in the future!

Just what we needed

The house is very nice with many enjoyable features that make a stay there pleasant and worthwhile. The location is fabulous, beautiful views and close to anything you could want to get to on the island. We stayed in January and it was spectacular, I can't even imagine how nice it would be in the warmer months, but I do hope to go back and find out someday. :) But even more important than the beautiful property and location, the owners are probably the best I have ever worked with on one of these rentals. We needed a holiday weekend getaway and booked on relatively short notice. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate and resulted in a cancelled ferry to the island and a good chance of cancellation for the return trip. The owners were more accommodating and flexible than we could have reasonably expected and really went above and beyond! Tim kept in solid communication with updates, refunded the night we could not make it to the island, and gave us amazing flexibility dealing with the storm on our departure day. That type of understanding alone says a lot about the family that owns this property and that you are truly considered a guest in their family getaway, not merely a quick buck on the side. This experience deserves the highest rating I can give and I will definitely rent this property again when we return to the Vineyard.

Stunning Views and Comfortable Family Stay on Lake Tashmoo

Our stay at The Macy Family house was such a wonderful and memorable weekend. The house is much larger and nicer than even the photos communicate and the view from the house, the private beach on Lake Tashmoo and the private beach down the private road are spectacular. The wrap around decks and the view from the kitchen sink and dining table were incredible to wake up to! We made great use of the working fireplace, the washer dryer and the three main floor bedrooms. The house is almost unbelievably well-equipped with everything you need for a Holiday dinner (we stayed over Christmas) and the house was toasty and comfortable the entirety of our stay. The privacy and quiet of the road really made you feel like you were in your own private world and the nature surrounding the property is easy to get lost in all while only a seven minute drive from the ferry landing and stores and restaurants in Vineyard Haven. It is essential to rent an SUV as the road to the house would have been completely impassable in my Subaru so I was grateful to the other reviews which noted the road's condition. It was not an easily maneuverable road and I would definitely have caused damage to my vehicle if I had tried to make my vehicle work. The Macys were consistent and thorough in their communication and have gone out fo their way to mail me a lost item from our stay.

Fabulous House on Lake Tashmoo

Well furnished with two bathrooms, comfortable beds, and a full kitchen. Immaculately clean. Backup diesel generator, although we've never needed it. We have stayed twice and love this place.

Well equipped comfortable house with a view

The Macy’s offer an excellent house, full equipped, convenient to Vineyard Haven. The property is actually better than portrayed in the listing. The setting is perfect with a lovely sunset view from the large porch, though the potholed access road is annoying. The house offers all you need for a stay and The Macy’s are very accommodating. Eight adults felt right at home. I’d consider making this spot an annual visit!

Spacious & Comfortable House with a Magnificent View

The house was lovely and it was a perfect place for a large family or group of friends. We loved sitting on both the upper and lower deck with cocktails or coffee and enjoying the view. Very quiet and off the beaten path which needed an SUV or similar type of vehicle to access the house from the main road.

We are are third-generation owners of this property purchased by our grandfather 100 years ago. It was passed along to us by our parents in 2016. It's a cherished family treasure and we are happy to share it with you.

A direct descendant of Thomas Macy, who first settled on Nantucket Island around 1640, our grandfather Paul Macy built a rustic summer cottage on this property a hundred years ago. Our parents Eliot "Bud" Macy and his wife Susie replaced it with a new year-round home in 1999 and lived there for the remainder of their lives. We have been coming to Martha's Vineyard for more than sixty years and have passed our love for the Island along to our children and grandchildren. The Macy family is delighted to share this family treasure with you and hope you will enjoyit as much as we do.
