Starting with the white town of Ostuni, world-famous for its medieval center and exceptional views, the first must-see tourist destination is the trulli of Alberobello, an UNESCO World Heritage Site, just 30 km from us.
Lecce, the capital of Salento Baroque, is an hour’s drive south, while just 50 km to the north lies the picturesque village of Polignano a Mare, overlooking the Adriatic Sea with its sheer cliffs. The same distance, but this time inland, takes you to the Castellana Caves, one of Apulia’s natural wonders.
For lovers of outdoor walks, the Murgia Materana Park is a must-see attraction, not least because of its proximity to the Sassi of Matera: another UNESCO World Heritage Site that is certainly worth recommending as an interesting destination for those who want to plan a lovely day trip starting from our villa.
Finally, in the Dune Costiere Regional Nature Park, you can go horseback riding along fragrant forest trails and by the sea.
The city center of Ostuni is just a 10-minute drive from the property, where you’ll find a wide variety of shops, including bakeries, grocery stores, restaurants, and bars.
In 15 minutes, you can reach the sandy beaches of the Adriatic Sea, and in about 40 minutes, the coves of the Ionian Sea.
