HULA MATULA er et nyopført hjem ved stranden i det smukke indiske sommerfællesskab Indian Pass. Beliggende inden for de høje Florida Pine og Kål Palmer, føler du dig gemt væk og fri fra hverdagen. Opdelingsarkitekturen giver privatliv for alle værelser, men kan være et problem for dem med små børn. Kun Master soveværelset er placeret i den vigtigste levende del af hjemmet. De andre soveværelser er på tværs af udendørs dæk på to separate niveauer. Der er 2 soveværelser forbundet med et Jack-n-Jill bad på øverste etage, mens det sidste soveværelse er på første niveau. Hver af disse 3 soveværelser kan kun nås fra udendørs dæk, ingen indgang fra hovedhuset.

Med over 1.500 kvadratmeter udvendig beboelsesplads og 3.100 kvadratmeter indvendigt boligareal har du god plads til, at gruppen kan komme sammen eller finde et roligt sted væk fra alle. Du finder et bar / medieværelse med et 75 "HD Smart TV med dvd-afspiller, tekøkken med minibar, ekstra køleskab og opvaskemaskine. Derefter ved siden af medieværelset er der et halvt bad og derefter adgang til det primære opholdsstue. Afslut fra opholdsstuen og nyd stranden dæk med en samtale og spisestue samt ekspansiv udsigt over bugten.

Sweet Serenity

First time visiting; hopefully not the last. Loved everything about this property. We had to evacuate for 1 day in the middle of the trip bc of Idalia, but we were able to return promptly. I would definitely recommend this house and the property management company.

Location is great

From the moment of arrival, we walked in and the house smelled really bad. You get used to it while in there but every time you leave and come back it's there again and our suitcases smelled that way when we got back home. The house was not cleaned very well either. Also, the thermostat was set to go no lower than 72 degrees and that was a problem for us all. The lowest we could get them to turn it down to was 70. Other than that it was good.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is definitely for those who do not like the crowded tourist spots. We decided to go out to dinner each night to eat locally. We cooked breakfast and lunch in, and the kitchen is well-stocked with pots, pans, cooking utensils, etc. The town is 15-20 min drive. That means groceries and such need to be planned out. We rented 4 bikes but didn't use them once because the bike trail is not as close as I thought. There are very few people on the beach, which we loved! NOTE: This property has only ONE bedroom in the main house (the spacious master). The other 3 are across "the hall." You open the front door, and the other room is there along with a "beach bar" room. The other 2 rooms are located upstairs, outside. Would be great for older couples and privacy (two share a jack-and-jill bathroom). I will say one thing we were ALL disappointed with: The whole "special cleaning for COVID" may not be so true. We had to literally clean food crumbs off of the bar and the table out back. The dishwasher outside was filthy, with spills and general stains that should've been sparkling clean for what we paid/expect. VERY weak WiFi, too. The instructions for logging in were very unclear, but once we emailed the mgmt company, we were able to log on. In general, that area of FL has weak Internet, so if you work on vacation, be prepared! Would be a 5-Star if cleaning was 100% and better WiFi. It is a gorgeous property!!!!!

The location of this house to the beach is perfect! The beach feels like your own. There were only a few other people on the beach. If you are looking for a vacation focused on beach time, this is a great option. A couple times a day we watched dolphins. When we kayaked the dolphins would swim within yards of us, so cool and a highlight of our trip. The house is unlike any other we have seen, with a breezeway separating the main living space/master bed room from the other bedrooms and the media/bar area. As others have stated it worked well for our family with teenagers. I would not recommend this home for a family with younger children. The kitchen was equipped well, cookware, utensils, coffee makers, blender etc... The gas grill was great to have too. It was a short drive to Port St. Joe or Cape San Blas for restaurants/grocery/shops. We enjoyed all the restaurants we tried. The downside is this community was hit by Hurricane Michael in October 2018. The destruction is still very present. We saw no evidence in the house but the community pool was still closed due to the hurricane. The pool is only 3 houses away from the this house. Again, great location! This was a disappointment as we only rent places with a pool. We understand this was out of anyone’s control. With the outstanding access to the beach, we didn’t miss the pool as much as expected. Prior to going, I read comments about the windows in the shower areas. We did cover the window in the bathroom on the 1st level. We went outside at night to see if we could see someone in the shower area through the window. We could see in. Such a shame to cover it b/c the tile work on that window is great! The only other thing I’d mention is there is no tv in the main part of the house- kitchen & living area or in the 2 queen bedrooms. We did not miss a tv b/c of the view of the ocean. But worth mentioning b/c I had wondered prior to going. Both decks are spacious and added bonuses. Overall, this is an amazing house, great location and if we visit this area again we will definitely rent this house again. The local people were friendly and helpful. Our family will recommend this house/area to others.

Most amazing house we have ever rented for a couples vacation.

Beautiful home with so much privacy for each couple. Not your ordinary rental where you can hear each other talking in the next room. Would recommend to anyone traveling to Indian Pass as a couples vacation or family vacation.

Beach vacay with family

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful beach home. Perfect layout if combining families to have some privacy. Nice big and open layout. Beautiful decor and great seating for family dinners and hangouts. If you like a fan when you sleep you may want to pack a portable fan to run, but overall wonderful stay and great experience.

The perfect getaway!

This place is absolutely beautiful! Love the layout and the home has all the right amenities. The location listed as beachfront isn't stated enough, you open the front door and out in front of you is the beautiful ocean and beach. You can't get any closer to the beach and water than this home. We would definitely stay here again. Perfect home A+A+

The set up was a little different but ended up being great as it provided privacy for all. I would recommend a TV in the main room. You could one put over the fireplace. Having TVs in the bedrooms created a separation. We found that we couldn't all hang out. Would have been nice while having breakfast and cooking dinner. The Olympics were on and the kids would go off an watch by themselves. Otherwise no complaints. The beach gear company VayK Gear was awesome!!! We needed some replacements and they were very responsive. Corn Hole was a great idea. Would do a paddleboard instead of a Kayak.

Far from the madding crowd

If crowds and traffic are your thing then this is not the place for you. This beach-front house is good for a group of friends or extended family. Three separate sleeping areas offer privacy and the living area is large and comfortable. The community pool is a nice extra.

Beautiful and Relaxing

This is a lovely property and very well maintained. The beach is quiet with wildlife being protected. It is a short drive into town if you want restaurants and nightlife. The mgmt staff were terrific and responsive. Take note of the unusual layout though which would not be good if you have young children. It is fine for older teenagers though. The privacy issue with the windows in the bathrooms was the only concern. Otherwise, we highly recommend this home!

THE HULA MATULA!

Great place to stay. The beach is terrific. If you're looking for a quite location, this is your place. If you want to go out, there are many places in Port St. Joe and Apalachicola and it's a short drive away. We had several cook outs with fresh seafood purchased just down the road. Just absolutely terrific. There's was a free Dolphin show behind the house almost everyday. As for cons, there's only one, please trim the palm tree by the board walk leading to the beach, it's a bit in the way. Also buy or bring insect repellent, the mosquitos are thick!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We we first walked into the house we were amazed by just how beautiful, the main living area truly is, pictures do not do it justice. From there, this is where a bit of panic set in for us. We had read the details stating 3 of the bedrooms and the media room were across the outdoor porch, which we mistakenly assumed these other rooms were all connected amongst them selves by some type of interior hall or stairs, they are not. If you really want separation from the other guest this house definitely has more of an Inn feel as you must go outside to get in any of the room. I highly recommend the management company reach out to anyone who books with children, confirming they understand the layout. We also agree with other reviewers stating there needs to be a TV in the main living area, as the media room is too cramped, for everyone. If you are planning to work remote from here the wifi, is not great, and cell service is spotty. But the quiet beach is right out your door.

This house could not have been more perfect. There was plenty of space for everyone and because of the unique floorplan, we all had the perfect amount of togetherness and privacy when needed. The house was very clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. We also loved Hula Matula's location. We were able to go out for food if we wanted yet we felt secluded and the beach was never crowded.I highly recommend this rental if you have older children!

Immaculate!

This was by far the cleanest VRBO that we have ever rented. The location is perfect for a laid back visit to the beach - right between Apalachicola and Port St. Joe, with just a few houses around you. The kitchen was wonderfully appointed with everything you need. We loved the layout of the separation of the bedrooms, it gave everyone some privacy while allowing everyone to be able to come together in the great room and around the dining table. The decks were perfect, and the beach was awesome. The only real complaint we had about the property is the Wifi, it was very spotty and sometimes just non-existent. Made doing some work from there difficult at times. You can indeed see into the master bathroom if the light is on, which is a little awkward if showering at night. But those are just minor issues, and I wouldn't hesitate to rent this place again. I only wish we had booked it for more than a week! We'll definitely be back!

Quiet beach and beautiful hous

Reviewer Comments: We booked Hula Matula for 2 weeks and then ended up staying an extra week as we enjoyed working and playing while it was freezing back home. The house is very well decorated and very functional. We quickly learned to appreciate the split nature of the main house from the other bedrooms and tv room. Kitchen is well equipped and user friendly for cooking. Let me say that we would definitely return before I offer a few issues. The internet is brutal. When it worked, it was slow and buffered / dropped out for minutes constantly. There are smart tv’s in the house and with just that tv trying to stream it often wouldn’t work. We did lose service for a couple days and the provider had to come out. I understand this area might not have many options but it is poor. The area post hurricane does have some good 5G cell coverage. AT&T coverage at the house is also mediocre. I had to drive down to the end of the point or closer into town for good coverage. Verizon is likely better here. Other issue was that the pictures of the house prominently show a roaring fireplace! Renters are not allowed to use the fireplaces. I would suggest not showing the fireplace on in the pics and making that clear in the description. Still, we loved the house and want to return to the area again.

Perfect Retreat

A wonderful week away from the distractions of life to relax in an uncrowded, natural setting. The home is nicely appointed, clean, and comfortable.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great home just steps from the beach. The beach is quite and allows for plenty of room between other properties. We literally had 75 yards between us and guest staying at another property when we were at the beach.

Fabulous Family Retreat!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a wonderfully designed beach home with too many amenities to list here. My wife and I and my three stepdaughters with son-in-laws and a grand baby all had wonderful private bedrooms. The kitchen/family gathering space brought everyone together in a wonderful way. The private beach views off of both large balconies were stunning. The media room, laundry room, pantry area, utility sink with two types of coffee makers and the outdoor heated beach shower were all a big plus as was the nearby beautiful private community pool. It's in a great location away from the crowds as we wanted. There are several fine restaurants within easy driving distance but you'll probably want to stay and enjoy this masterpiece! I have already recommended it to friends and relatives and we'll probably be back next year too!

Fantastic family vacation!

With the exception of the sudden development of Tropical Storm Nester that caused us to cut our trip short by a day this family vacation will be difficult to eclipse. The house is amazing (once you get used to the layout), and the convenience to the beach, and immaculate views make it difficult to beat. This was our first trip to Port St Joe-Indian Pass area, but will not be our last.
