My wife and daughter and I spent 12 days in Florence, in Chiara’s apartment. There is so much fantastic about this stay. The apartment is immaculate. It’s on the top floor of a 4 floor (4 plus the street level) well-maintained apartment house, 3 doors to a floor, with elevator (we took the stairs down). The rooms are large and light. Wood shutters blocked out the light and most of the street noise. Chiara, the proprietor, met us at the apartment and made sure during our stay that any needs were met or complaints (of which there were none) were addressed. This was not an apartment managed by an anonymous management agency – Chiara even had two vases of flowers and a bowl of fruit waiting for us and checked in on us by WhatsApp every few days. We chose the apartment because of the neighborhood, which we’ve stayed in several times. The Libertà neighborhood is residential, away from the crowded Centro I would definitely not want to stay in but which is a 10-15 minute walk away - a few blocks from the T2 tram, and has some nice neighborhood restaurants (Trattoria Alfredo and Pizzeria da Napoli are our favorites). I look forward to coming back soon.
