Dette dejlige hjem er indrettet med den egentlige skønhed af vandfarve - fra Atlanterhavets gråtoner synlig fra vores gård til de skimrende blå gnistre fra baghaven pool om dagen eller blændende LED farver om natten. Indretningen i hvert værelse er subtilt og afslappende, med grays, greener og blues hele vejen igennem. Signaturens berøring inde i huset er den voksende samling af akvarel malerier af kunstnere, herunder Alan Casey, Lisa Elrod og andre. Den private pool er 13 'x 27' - lang nok til at svømme omgange og bred nok til hele familien at splash sammen. Puljen er 3'6 "dyb på den lave ende og 5'6" på den dybe ende. Den har bænkplads i hver ende. Mod betaling kan puljen opvarmes under dit ophold. Du må aldrig forlade baghaven! Men hvis du gør det, vil det helt sikkert være at gå ned til den smukke Saint Simons-strand, kun 156 skridt fra verandaen til sandet. Når du kommer tilbage fra en dag på stranden, nyd vores opvarmede udendørs bruser, før du dypper igen i poolen! Faktisk kan du nyde alle dine brusere i udendørs bruser.

The family and the pets enjoyed this beach cottage. The location was perfect, across the street from the beach and a bike ride or a short walk to downtown shopping and restaurants! We paid to have the pool heated and the only issue we ran into was that the pool was overheated due to a broken display on the pool heater. I texted Lighthouse and they had king gentleman there to fix it right away. The house has a lot of charm for it's age with sloping floors exposed beams and cracks w through the doors where you can see outside, but we loved it! We will definitely be returning!

Cottage close to Beach

We had a really good time and had all the amenities we could hope for. Beds were comfy, kitchen well equipped, location was one house row away from the beach, and close proximity to the small town and long long beach walks.

Perfect location

My family and I had a wonderful time in this beautiful beach house. It had so much charm and was in the perfect location to walk to beach and the village. We loved the pool and the outdoor area was perfect for grilling and just gathering around the tv. The proximity to the beach allowed for multiple trips a day for shell hunting.

charming cottage-great location

This house has a great location. We have stayed in homes directly on the beach that have had a longer walk to the water. It is literally around the corner to the beach. The house is quaint but with plenty of room. We loved the old school charm and renovations.

Relaxed and renewed

The week away was just what we needed. Our favorite part of the house was the pool- so nice to have that as we came back from the beach every day. The space was perfect for the five of us and we were pleased with the short walking distance to the beach.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Quaint home, comfortable and enjoyable

Enjoyed the location and of course the pool. Parking a little tight but that is not the fault of the owner, as the home was not built to be a vrbo back in the day. They did make parking spots off of Ocean Blvd so that helps.

In case people can't picture the layout, the home faces Park Way which is a small side street paralleling Ocean Blvd, and the house backs up to Ocean Blvd - right across from the elementary school, with parking on both sides - up to 2 cars on each end. In fact for most of the home's history the only driveway/parking was on Ocean Blvd - additional parking from Park Way was added more recently.

Rustic Perfection

We had such a great stay! The proximity to beach access was fantastic, and being able to walk to many shops/restaurants. We really appreciated that it was pet friendly, as our dog had the time of his life at the beach and the private pool! The mattress in the master bedroom was the best mattress we had experienced on vacation! Having a tv outside and an outdoor shower with warm water were great perks. Loved the lights in the pool at night and having the pool heated made it perfect. Also, next time we don’t even need to bring beach chairs because the ones in the shed were great! The house isn’t “fancy” but it’s cozy & rustic, has all the necessities, this is all about location!

Saint simons stay

Get location. Cute house with some updates here and there but a little rickety. A little pricey for what you get. Master bedroom bed too loud to sleep on comfortably. The extra cost to heat the pool was pricy and pool wasn’t heated, but just one single day (check in being on Wednesday and check out on Sunday). Overall okay cute place close to town.

Sarah, thanks for staying with us and for your review. Out of an abundance of caution we've had the air quality in the house tested, and there isn't mold. I'm sorry the house wasn't what you expected, we believe the photos to be accurate other than 2 key updates - carpet has been replaced with LVP upstairs, and the wall between the dining room and kitchen has been opened up, both mentioned in the listing. This is a classic cottage with a great beach location, glad you stayed with us!

Nice stay, but lots of little things need addressed

We enjoyed our stay, but feel there were several things not up to par. No instructions for fireplace, heater or lock, no hooks in baths, no bath mats, shower head in downstairs bath needs cleaned, bedroom doors are not really doors and don't work - knob broke first time I tried to close, the pool was full of leaves when we arrived, lawn furniture filthy and the shed in the back is also full of leaves and whatever?, house and all needs a good pressure washing (including gutter that is growing things), all bedrooms should have lamps, the freezer does not open well and rack does not slide well, need more kitchen towels and washclothsths, string of lights over table outside needs several bulbs, dining room lamp flickers off and on, beach chairs not in the best shape.

Hi Judy, You're right that we needed a spring cleaning, which is done and addressed much of what you said here, but also to clarify - * all our bedrooms do have doors :-) * each also has a lamp * we do provide instructions for the keypad lock, thermostats, etc. in the welcome email, house manual on the coffee table, and in our guest app * the house was restocked with fresh new towels in al bathrooms * we provide brand new beach chairs. I think someone may have left their extras behind Our goal is to keep the house in "opening day ready" mode and clearly we missed the mark for you, we took your feedback and have gotten it back to standard. Excellent location!!

The location is perfect, it’s 1 block to the beach, and you can walk to a lot of restaurants (Crab Trap, Fiddler’s, Barrier Brewing, etc, or in the opposite direction down to the village). We walked to dinner every night, and to the lighthouse in the morning. The house has a storage shed in the back with a wagon and a few beach chairs which was extremely accommodating and made the walk to the beach very easy. The house also had a few baby and kid essentials, including a little baby lounge chair and a washer and dryer. We really enjoyed the backyard, it was great for kids after a day at the beach; we would pack up and go back to the house to swim for a couple of hours before dinner. There’s also an outdoor table that we used for meals. The pool has plenty of shade. Overall, the house had everything we needed, plenty of space, and we really enjoyed our stay. My recommendations for packing would be to include hand soap, laundry detergent, paper towels, beach towels and toilet paper. Although most of these items are provided, we had a big group so we needed extra quantities of these items. 5 out of 5 stars!! We will definitely book this house again in the future!!

Great location

The location close to the beach was awesome. The pool was great, especially for the kids! The issues were pictures were not accurate to what the inside really was like! Bathroom situation was not good for 3 families, not enough bath towels for 10 people and kitchen could have been much better equipped for cooking.

Beach Glimpses

Overall our stay was pleasant. We did have a problem with TV reception which we were told had been occurring prior that was not addressed when we talked to manager on Thursday. Also we lost hot water on Saturday not finding out till after we returned from Ga Fla game so were not able to take showers Saturday night or Sunday morning. This was embarrassing to me since I acquired the rental for fiends and family.

Well maintained and just a short walk to the beach. Plenty of space for our family. Having a pool is a bonus! This was our second year to stay at Watercolor.
