The property was exactly as listed minus the dock which could use some refurbishment. Our boats stayed in the water without issue all week but beware as on low tides there will only be approximately 14-16" of water. Location was perfect and only 1.2mi from the public boat ramp and 2 fantastic restaurants. This property is an older property which we actually loved! We highly recommend a stay here just be prepared as all the living area is upstairs! As for the host (Susan), I cannot say enough good things about her! Susan responded far quicker than any previous host of any VRBO we've stayed in!!

Exceeded expectations

My family had the pleasure of staying had plenty of room for us and our pets very clean everything was easy to find and it was so peaceful with a beautiful view would definitely stay again if the chance comes forward

Wonderful

The beach house was perfect for our family it was nice and cozy we had everything that we needed. The scenery at the bay was nice a little to windy and cold but we enjoyed the time we spent there. It was nice that we were able to find a beach house that allowed pets to come along on this trip.

Spring Break on Perdido Bay

The house was exactly as listed with everything we needed for a wonderful week on the bay. The permanent neighbors on both sides were wonderfully kind and offered a lot of suggestions on local places for food, fresh seafood, and more. Host was incredibly responsive. After our first day, we added an extra night to our stay!

The guys fishing trip

It was perfect for a fishing trip. Communication was great. I wish they had tv's in the bedrooms. Would definitely recommend

Summer 2024

Property was just how described. We enjoyed fishing nightly from dock and playing cornhole under the covered area under the house.

No screening

We liked the house; however the pictures and descriptions were not totally accurate. There was supposed to be a screened in lower level, but there was not. The screened in area was one of the main reasons we chose the house.

Karen, I'm so sorry you were disappointed in our property. Unfortunately we lost our sreen walls around the bottom portion of the house during Hurricane Sally, September of 2020. Due to availability and then to the prohibitive cost of wood we have not been able to replace them yet. I beleive I included an explanation of this in one of the first informational emails I sent. I'm so sorry if this information somehow didnt get to you. We should be able to replace our screening this winter barring any more disasters, natural or otherwise. Please consider giving us another try next year. Best regards, Susan

Wonderful and Hassel free!!!

I do not know were to start! This place is quiet and comfy. The best part is Susan is the best, she was there for our needs and such a pleasure to talk to, which you do not get very often any where, most of the time it is "fend for yourself". We had a wonderful time fishing from the dock and watching dolphins who were in the bay almost everyday. It was wonderful to look out the big sliding glass every morning when we woke up. Agree with the comments, eat at Triggers for breakfast..a little hole in the wall but the cheese grits are wonderful! There is a pet friendly beach on Perdido Bay #3 from 6a-10a, about 10 min from the house. Sadie loved it there to! We will be back :)

Good haven house

We enjoyed our week at the Good Haven House.! The whole house was very clean. The decor was an adorable cottage feel. Great views from the living/kitchen master and queen bedroom. The deck overlooking the water is large with a table to enjoy our meals and the view. We spent a lot of time on the dock/ sundeck just relaxing and watching the pelicans…. Don’t miss the beautiful sunset from the dock. The yard was huge and wooded/private. Susan was very quick answering any questions I had. Best part we were able to bring our dog along. Hopefully some day we’ll be back.

The property was as described and very quite with beautiful nature experiences. We had a large screech owl bust and a bald eagle, it was amazing! Thanks so much for sharing your home with my family and fur babies!

Beautiful Beachy home and location

This home is very comfortable, clean and scenic. We enjoyed fishing from the dock, watching the dolphins swimming by daily and visiting the nearby beach.

Cottage by the Sea

This was a truly a cottage by the sea type property. The first thing that struck us was the view of the water from everywhere in the house! The house itself was so comfortable and had a beach cottage feel throughout. We could have stayed here for a month. The dock was our favorite experience of all. Each night we would watch beautiful sunsets and frequently see dolphins pass by. We also enjoyed watching four pelicans dive for their catch right in front of us. Overall this was one of the most enjoyable vacations we have had..... thank you Susan for letting us enjoy your beautiful property.

Great Location! Wonderful home.

Beautiful views of the water and great quiet neighborhood. The location is central to Perdido Key, Johnson's Beach and close to Orange Beach/Gulf Shores. Updated kitchen, great deck and screened porch under house. Owner was very attentive and easy to communicate with. Dock wonderful for fishing, stargazing and just a great place to relax and enjoy the water. Hope to visit again someday soon!
