Great stay

We went to the Newport area for a girls trip and this property was perfect! We all slept comfortably and enjoyed the outdoor patio and showers. It was such a treat after a beach day. I would highly recommend this property for your next stay near Newport.

Great stay!!

Jon’s house was perfect for our bachelorette weekend. Clean, plenty of space, and a great location to downtown Newport. Jon was responsive to messages when we were there. Check-in was easy and fast. Would stay here again!

Great stay just outside busy Newport

Me and the group of friends who stayed had a wonderful weekend in Portsmouth & Newport. Conveniently located by the bus stop, the home is just a short ride away from Newport’s cute beachside shops and restaurants. Home was clean, well-kept, and ready upon checking in. We would all stay again.

Cute Place

Cute place unfortunately the listing was not accurate. The beds downstairs are blow up mattresses they are not beds. We also had to do sheets, towels, etc when we left which I feel the guests should not have to take care of.

Disappointed with the review from this group. We did not require the guests to do laundry, simply asked them if they had time to start the washer. The pictures are exact matches of the space so it was disappointing to hear they were not happy with the beds.

Weekend Stay

I had some friends visit for my birthday/college graduation celebration and we had an awesome time! The property fit us all (12) comfortably and was close to the Newport/Middletown beaches & downtown as well. Communication with the host was also quick and easy.

50th Wedding Anniversary

This house was the perfect fit for our family and extended family as we got together to celebrate my parent's 50th Wedding Anniversary! Spacious house in a nice neighborhood with a large backyard for the kids to play and entertain! Wonderful property and host! We will keep this house on our list for future visits!

Nice place. Responsive owner.

House was as advertised. Only negatives were that the drawers in the bedrooms were full, and pantry in kitchen too. Fine for a short stay. Neighbors are close by but that was not an issue. Took advantage of restaurants that were a very short walk. Very convenient for daily excursions to beach, Newport, and Providence. Owner is very responsive and helpful.

Amazing Friend Getaway for Independence Day!

We had a fantastic stay at this property! We easily fit 12 guests - one big callout is all the bathroom space, including a gorgeous outdoor shower, which made housing this many individuals very smooth! House was beautiful maintained, had lots of appliances and supplies, and had a large yard/patio for outdoor lounging. Only callout is that the basement beds are actually just 3 blow up mattresses, but we were just happy to fit so many people in one house! Owners were extremely responsive and checked in frequently. Would definitely go back to this listing!

Beautiful but somewhat restricted

This place is beautiful, clean, and in a beautiful location. However, it is advertised for 10 people but they only allow three cars to park in the driveway. They expect your guests to be comfortable with parking a 1/2 mile away at Newport Polo. We were not informed of this until the week prior to our stay, therefore, it was hard to coordinate car pooling as many people were coming from all different areas (including out of state). Other than the parking situation, the property owners were nice and easy to contact and the house was very cute.

Not accurate description

Overall, I'm disappointed. The 3 king beds mentioned in the listing are full sized beds (not even queens). The 3 beds mentioned in the basement are blow up mattresses that did not even stay full of air. This impacted our stay as you can expect traveling with families expecting full rooms. I tried to contact the host and they ghosted me. Be aware!

Would book again!

Had an excellent weekend at this property with a group of friends. There were six adults, no couples. We were able to stay in six separate beds (the three bedrooms upstairs and on three air mattress, provided, in the basement). The outdoor patio, basement sectional, and dinning room spaces really fit our needs for a hangout location. Communication with the property owner was easy and prompt. The homeowner also left lots of cute, framed notes around the house with tips and needed info. Loved this location and would stay again!

Awesome house

This house was perfect for our trip to Rhode Island! We attended a wedding in Newport/Goat Island-the house was very close and such a lovely area! The house was super clean and the back yard was so great to sit outside and visit and watch the kids play-the playset was awesome for our granddaughters - ages 1 and 3. I would definitelyrecommend this house and are so grateful we were able to stay here. We made some great memories and would love to return to do more things in the area!

Not as advertised!!!

This trip was FAR from what was posted on the VRBO! If it was accurately posted, we would not have stayed her. Posting states 3 king size beds up stairs… they were all actually doubles/fulls. The listing also shared that there are 3 queen beds downstairs … they are air mattresses. We didn’t mind a group room, but would never subject our group to sleep on half blown up air mattresses that needed air regularly. This house was also left very dirty. We could not use the grill due to lack of cleaning it. The fridge when we got there was FULL and left so dirty. We had to wipe it down before putting in our food and drinks for the week. Also had to clean up countless cobwebs and dust bunny’s from the ceilings. Downstairs shower had barely any hand soap so we had to use from another room as well as the shower being left very dirty. Also very insecure check in process. We did not feel safe knowing that the key was just under a rock. The main 3 rooms of the house were exactly what we needed. But knowing what we know now I wouldn’t have booked this space and would not recommend it for groups larger than 5 or 6 people.

Wonderful House - Great Times!

Our family had a wonderful time staying at this property. It was clean and spacious for 9 people. The backyard area is great for relaxing and entertaining. One area of improvement, would be having more area for guests to store their items. Most of the closets and dressers are in use so there is not a ton of area for guests. Overall a wonderful experience..

Absolutely gorgeous home. Clean, quiet, large back yard and fit all 12 of us comfortably! Owners were super easy to communicate with and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Highly recommend!!

Great House

The house was perfect! Lots of space for a low-key bachelorette party. The coffee maker proved to be a little tricky but otherwise no complaints! Perfect location, too. The only disappointment was leaving a night early to avoid Hurricane Henri.

Perfect for girls trip

This property as just as it was described! There is plenty of open space and great yard to gather with friends, and the bed set up is perfect for a group of 12 to sleep comfortably. It’s also in great proximity to Newport Vineyards and short driving distance to Newport night life!

Nice property not meeting its potential

The property is nice, but doesn't quite live up to its potential. It was mostly clean with some nice, large open spaces, indoors and out, but with some added detail or modifications, it would have made our stay much more enjoyable. The large front living room has two comfortable couches and a chair, but no tables to set up group activities, like board games. Not having a TV in that room also felt weird, making it feel like a waste of space. There is a TV in the basement living space, but since our group of 10 need that space to function as a bedroom for half our party, it was not conducive for everyone in our group. Plus, we had two elderly parents for whom stairs can be a real challenge. Speaking of the elderly, one of the railings leading into the front of the house was loose, which can be a real hazard, and there were no railings down the stairs to the back patio. Regarding the patio, the listing shows a back walkout deck, which would have been great for my parents, but the owners must have removed the deck and replaced it with the patio. The patio was nice and large, and the outdoor shower was great, but again, details matter. There's a nice large table on the patio, but no umbrella for shade. The patio grill was small and dirty and had an empty propane tank. However, I found an extra full tank in the the backyard shed, so it ended up making it work, but it's not for a full barbecue for 10. As for the yard, it was perfect for lawn games, but there were a couple old piles of dog poop that we had to pick up. The kitchen was big and stocked with most of the necessities, but a few key things were missing. The coffee machine mentioned in the listing ended up being a Keurig that didn't work consistently and since we had a lot of coffee drinkers in our large party, we ended up asking one of our late arrivals to bring a coffee pot. Also, when I went to boil some water to make pasta, all I could find were too small pots, so again, we had to provide our own large pot to boil water for things like pasta, corn on the cob, etc. For large parties that don't want to eat out every meal, these details matter. Speaking of meals, the dinner room was awesome. In the bedrooms, double beds were small and not super comfortable. At 6 feet, my feet were hanging off. Plus, closets/dressers were "private" and off limits, so the lack of hooks to hang clothes/towels was annoying. Overall we had a good time, but it could have been much better.

Great Stay

Spent 4 days there visiting family in the area and doing some local sightseeing. The home fit 7 of us nicely and the outdoor space is great for relaxing and playing yard games. Very responsive hosts!
