My family of six stayed at casa caiman and spent a week on the peninsula. This house and the wonderful group running it are simply amazing. We enjoyed the amenities, the views, the food and drink. We experienced true service from early morning to late evening everyday .By far the best vacation we could have hoped for.

What an amazing trip! The staff was excellent all around! We cannot wait to go back. We were able to fish, atv, zip line, have a beach day at the four seasons, tube, snorkel and eat the best food 😁 The house is stunning.... Do not hesitate to bool this place! Pura Vida

Comfortable Home with a View

The house is beautiful yet homey and the beds are super comfortable. The view is incredible of the ocean and the sunsets. Jorge, Jackson and Maynor are the nicest people with great skills to make your stay perfect. We loved the golf cart trips to look for monkeys, swimming and eating on the back porch looking at the ocean. Wonderful week. Thank you!!

Amazing Property and Staff

This property is amazing. The entire experience was perfect. The house is even prettier than the photos and the staff is incredibly attentive. We were well taken care of and thought about nothing. From cold towels to cool us off, fresh juices and snacks everything we could have asked for was already ready for us. The fishing and ski boats were highlights and had everything we could have wanted. Our family of five felt completely at ease and enjoyed our week immensely. I completely recommend Casa Caiman!

Papagaya Costa Rica - Casa Caiman

My family and I loved our stay at Casa Caiman and highly recommend the property. The staff was excellent in every way and went above and beyond. They made the best food with local fish catches and fruit. All fishing excursions and airport rides were well executed. The house is amazing - situated in the Four Seasons gated community with spectacular hillside ocean views and wildlife. Multiple restaurants on site, great sunset views and attentive staff. We discovered the luxury home and amenities to be a great value. Overall an A++ experience!

Pampered Perfection

This is a magnificent, ideally situated property with breathtaking ocean views. The outdoor and indoor spaces are ideal for large groups, and each of the five bedroom suites affords plenty of privacy. But what makes this property truly special is the extraordinary service provided by the owners and their on site team. Everything is arranged for guests, from logistics to meals, activities and housekeeping, by an on site staff that is enthusiastic, courteous and efficient. It’s a five star plus experience from the moment you arrive until you (most reluctantly) depart.

Great Amenities

Unlike any other rental inside the gates at Papagayo, the single most luxurious master planned development in all of CR, this place has it all. Baked inside the rental rate is thousands of dollars of savings in boat charters, golf cart rentals, airport transfers, water sports, chef, concierge and grocery stocking that almost every rental would charge extra for. Property is centrally located in development, but isolated and quiet with an incredible view. Everything as advertised and felt way more spacious than expected from listing in this platform. Booking was beyond accommodating and communication excellent.

Best Vacation Ever!

From the first contact with the team we were blown away at the attention to detail and the client experience. Mario held a Zoom call with us weeks in advance to begin planning our first Costa Rica adventure. He carefully went over the menu and provided sample menus and detailed activities for us to choose from. Once we arrived on property we were greeted by the team including our host, and others that would ensure our stay would exceed expectations. What can we say, to a person in our group we all agreed that everything from the food, fishing, wake surfing, ATV's, rain forest adventure, etc. we couldn't ask for anything better. We certainly will be back soon and have recommended to some friends who have already booked for next year. You won't be disappointed at all by anything here. Matt and Emily were very gracious hosts!

Didn’t lift a finger

We are a family with 5 kids. As much, and as the “mom”, vacations are typically more work than being home. Not at Casa Caiman. You want a drink - “ding” - a delicious, expertly crafted cocktail at your fingertips. Hungry for some guac in the middle of the day - “ding” - delicious snacks brought to you poolside by an amazing chef. Feel like riding wave runners - “ding” - the golf cart is waiting for you out front to take you on your adventure. Wet swimsuits/dirty clothes- “ding”- freshly washed laundry daily. Not to mention a gorgeous, spacious, comfortable house, extras aplenty, and the nicest staff. We had the best time! Thank you!

Everything you could want for a perfect vacation!

We knew Casa Caiman was a beautiful property from the pictures, reviews and our previous visit to Papagayo, but what really sets Casa Caiman apart is the staff and amenities they are incredible! Mario helped arrange everything we needed, Golf, ATV, Horseback Riding, Boating, Transportation... Jackson made some fantastic meals (breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner) and accommodated all of our dietary requests and Viktor anticipates our every need, smoothies in the morning, drinks by the pool and anything else we requested. Also love the little things like daily laundry by Karen. Erik is a great boat captain and waterman, fun wake surfing and snorkeling! Erik took us to 3 great snorkeling areas as well as a private beach for lunch and we even got up close with dozens of migrating Pilot Whales. Beyond the house, the Prieta Beach club was great spot for lounging and enjoying the beach and waves. The two six person golf carts allowed us to explore Peninsula Papagayo and the boats allowed us to explore coast! Finally, thanks to the owners Emily and Mat for great communication and flexibility!

Words Can't Begin-

What a trip! The photos honestly don't do the home justice. It was even more breathtaking than the photos. The entire experience from start to finish was incredible. When we booked we really had no idea what a treat we were in for. From the moment we landed to the moment we left EVERYTHING was taken care of. The staff were spectacular. The fishing was incredible, go for the deep sea, it was worth it! The Mahi and Wahoo were perfectly prepared for us through our stay. Our party of 8 loved days by the pool or on the boat, evenings sitting outside visiting or watching movies and laughing. Every morning we woke to a spectacular breakfast, our drinks were never empty and frankly none of us wanted to leave. I have to say, being the person who usually cooks, cleans and organizes on our trips this was such a gift for me. I didn't pack a single item when we would go out, it was all done and perfectly coordinated. The team couldn't have been more attentive and wonderful. We went off property one night for dinner and we all agreed, our dinners at the house were better than any in a restaurant. Just amazing.

Awesome in every way!!

We have absolutely zero hesitation in recommending this home, besides the fact that it might not be available for us to return if we rave to the world about it!! The property, staff and amenities were outstanding. Our group consisted of 2 families with a total of 9 guests (4 adults and 5 children). The staff were kind, attentive and engaged while at the same time giving us the right amount of privacy. Our trip began with an expertly arranged (and very successful!) early morning deep sea fishing excursion. Our families enjoyed every iteration of this fresh fish throughout the week not to mention all of the amazing fresh fruit and beautifully crafted meals and drinks by our chef David and Butler Jorge. The location of the property gave us easy access by golf cart to the Four Seasons property and private Prieta Beach Club. Our week sailed by with our days spent by the pool, beach, surfing and most notably enjoying the boating excursions which included snorkeling, tubing, wake-surfing and lunch at a local restaurant on the beach (thank you to our Captain and Alejandro for the hours zipping our kids around!). Our time at the beautiful Casa Caiman was amazing and we hope to return again! Our kids are demanding and claiming we will absolutely be back! We want to thank the whole team including Emily and Matt.

Awesome property and Great Staff

The property was as billed and a perfect fit for our party consisting of four couples. The location was spectacular with easy access to the beach club, spa and marina. Additionally, all of the staff were amazing, accommodating, friendly and nice. The preparation and service for all meals was always fresh and very good. Miguel, our concierge, arranged all requested excursions and provided private surfing lessons. The captain and boat were available whenever anyone wanted to get on the water for fishing or fun. Highly recommend! We had a great stay.

We will 100% be back!!

My family and I have been coming down to Papagayo for years. The peninsula is without question the most spectacular part of Costa Rica. In the past we always stayed at the hotel, but being that there was eight or us this year we figured that we would rent a house. Here is our experience renting Casa Caiman: Our concierge, Kristal met us at the airport with a big smile and a personalized sign. She had coordinated a large van for our pick up (included in rental). After 40 minutes we arrived to Casa Caiman, the pictures and video hardly do the house justice. It truly is one of the most speculate homes I have ever been in! Our Chef and Butler had welcome drinks waiting for us while Kristel and the housekeeper showed us our rooms and helped with luggage. The rooms are beautiful with iPhone docks and smart TVs as well as their own private ocean view terrace. Ocean views seem to riddle every room of the house! Our chef Jackson may be the most incredible person we met during our trip, we want to take him back with us! He cooked the most thoughtful meals throughout our stay, always keeping in mind individuals needs(food and beverage is included in the rate, and I was worried about the quality of food and how this would work. We coordinated a food list and basic menu with Kristel previous to our arrival and the house was stocked when we arrived. Sure enough we had everything we had asked for and Jackson 100% delivered on every meal!) We even had plenty of ice cream from a local creamery :) In the mornings we woke up to coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice. Jackson was eager to whip up whatever breakfast you wanted(I stuck with yogurt and granola). The team at Casa Caiman had put together quite an incredible welcome book detailing: the house, different dining options and amenities as well as adventures and activities. Each day Kristel would coordinate our activities: Golf, Fishing, Zip Lining and a private beach picnic to name a few. By the end the kids didn’t want to leave. The house is a kids dream with: pool table, football, PS4 and the pool. Almost forgot the best part, your private Boat and Captain! Our sweet captain spend hours pulling the kids on the tubes and we caught 4 Dorado! The private beach sunset picnic was a highlight and forgive me for being redundant but this was all INCLUDED!! We went over the numbers on the way home and I bet we saved $10,000!! As you can tell we absolutely loved our time at Casa Caiman. THANK YOU!!!

My name is Mat Wood, I own and manage a Luxury Vacation Rental Company called Viridian Experience. After living in Central America for over a decade and building some of the finest vacation homes in the region, I began having trouble with friends and family. To put it simply they would come to visit and wouldn't leave! I became a year around host and between the high school friends, college friends, family, colleagues and in-laws.. we began to feel like we had no time for ourselves. We had one friend come down 4 times in 9 months!! I started wondering what if we opened up our homes and staff to the public and offered the same experience to groups and families from around the world. So in 2016 we did just that Since then, we have hosted celebrities, professional athletes and adventurers from far and wide. There is a certain energy that people have on vacation that attracted me to this industry many years ago and being able to shape that into moments and memories is exactly why I'll never leave.

Our boat captain/surf guide has fished these waters since he was a child and knows every dive spot, snapper hole and wave reachable by boat. Our chef has worked in the finest restaurants in Central America and is happy to work with you to put together the perfect menu. The on-site cleaning staff has worked with me for years and are some of the kindest people I have ever met. We realize there are many spectacular homes in all sorts of breathtaking destinations, but it is our team at Viridian Experience and the memories you will create is what set us apart from any other rental in Peninsula Papagayo.
