Denne hytte ligger få skridt fra vores private strand ved Colby-søen og har sin egen ildsted udenfor. Lejere kan bruge enhver af vores syv både (2 rækkebåde, 2 kanoer, 2 voksne kajakker og 1 børnekayak) til at deltage i fiskeri eller bare nyde den smukke sø. Lake Colby er en del af det større Saranac Lake Community, der byder på mange turistattraktioner, herunder vandreture, sne skiløb, zip linjer, golf og fantastisk mad. Denne kabine er også en to minutters gang til den offentlige strand og lancering af båd.

Landsbyen Saranac Lake kan prale af vidunderlige spisesteder, pubber og kaffebarer. Colby Cabins ligger to minutters kørsel fra Mt. Pisgah, hvor hele familien kan nyde alpint skiløb, slanger og snowboarding. Saranac Lake er omgivet af nogle af de mest naturskønne vandrestier på østkysten. Lake Colby er kendt for sit fremragende fiskeri efter: regnbue- og brunørred, laks, largemouth og smallmouth bas. Maks. 10 hk motorer kan bruges på denne sø. Gæster kan bruge enhver af vores seks både: en robåd, 2 kajakker i fuld størrelse, 2 kanoer og en kajak i børnestørrelse (6 / 27-8 / 30 check-in eller check-out kan være enhver dag undtagen lørdag).

Disse hytter har alle de bekvemmeligheder og faciliteter, som vores gæster har brug for at nyde Lake Colby og Saranac Lake, når som helst på året.

Our First Christmas

The accommodations and amenities were as described. The cabin was clean, organized and beautifully themed. The parking was appropriate, plowed and the salt and shovel was helpful that was left. Enjoyed the privacy. We felt like we were in a beautiful snow globe.

Cozy cabin on the lake

We enjoyed our stay at Bear cabin. The hosts are very responsive and the cabin is warm and cozy. I would definitely stay here again.

Weekend getaway

Beautiful cabin that was perfect for our family while getting away for the weekend. Check in was simple and the home was very clean. The view of lake Colby in the morning we’re the kids favorite part.

Nice getaway

Very comfortable, cozy cabin. Nicely decorated and furnished. Loons were plentiful as were the osprey.

Great Bear Cabin!

We loved the Bear Cabin and the extensive bear theming that made it feel special. Great location within longer walking distance to the town. Was easy to get the available boats on the water and great lake views!

Beautiful setting on Lake Colby

We generally were happy with our stay at bear cabin. The owner was very responsive to any and all items that came up. General cleanliness was a bit low in our opinion, but given the setting and beautiful lake view from the picture window we were able to overlook that. We did need to cut our visit short for personal reasons, but would rent at the location again. Proximity to the lake cannot be beat/ boats available to use and an abundance of fish to keep the kids and well myself busy even with sub par weather. The local community was great offering advice on tackle and things to do. Seems like the town of saranac is going through some improvements, lots of construction making parking difficult, but the addition of a rail trail will make this an even better location to visit in the future.

Owners very responsive. Views were fantastic. Kitchen is well stocked. Can't get much closer to the water. Had an issue with the fireplace and the owners responded immediately. Thank you!

Disappointing

The cabin was indeed right on the lake. However, the pics did not reflect what it really looked like. Overall, a bit shabby.The beds were uncomfortable, the blinds did not work, and although we paid a clean up fee we were asked to strip the beds, bag up linen and towels, and bag up all the trash. What is the clean up fee for?

Beautiful Lake Cabin

My daughter and I had a great stay at Bear Cabin. We relaxed by the lake, took some great hikes and ate some amazing food at the local restaurants. The owner were very responsive to all our questions and needs - much appreciated.

Great stay and Cozy and very Clean Cabin

Beautiful and cozy cabin directly on Lake Colby. Owners were very easy to work with and very responsive. As an owner of property that is also listed on VRBO ourselves, it was an easy 5 star review.

Skying and sightseeing

Nice cabin had all the items in the kitchen towels hot shower and very clean. Beautiful Scenery and view to the lake and location to town groceries restaurant and Lake placid. Just know that the driveway down to cabin you need a 4 well drive or a good SUV . We enjoyed our stay and loved the coszy cabin.

Bear Cabin

Our stay at Bear Cabin was great. It was cozy and clean. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and the location was close to the town of Saranac Lake as well as Lake Placid area.

Cozy Christmas Cabin

Overall this was an amazing home away from home. The weather was below freezing all 3 nights of our stay, but the gas fireplace kept it cozy. The only negative aspect was how cold the floors were, but the wool socks were a great barrier. Owners did say that they would be putting in area rugs to help with the cold. Owners were quick to respond to questions and concerns, and very responsive to our very few needs. We would book this place in a heartbeat, should we be looking for a place to stay in the Saranac Lake area.

Thanksgiving Getaway

My wife and I stayed at the Bear cabin along with our dog. We had a great time, the cabin was well appointed, clean and very comfortable. We had absolutely no issues but during the rental process Huda was quick to respond to my questions. We would absolutely stay again if we were to visit Saranac Lake again!

Great location

We had a great time here. Very nice location right on the lake. Cabin was clean and had all the things we needed including a nice kitchen, clean bathroom, comfortable bedrooms, fireplace. Highly recommend.

Bear cabin

This cabin was absolutely beautiful! So clean, quiet and the location was perfect!. We really enjoyed the lake as well. Great views and the sunsets were amazing!! All around our stay was so relaxing which is what we all needed! We definitely will come back again!!

Great Getaway

Our family rented 3 cabins. We loved the views. We really appreciated the availability of the kayaks, boats and canoes. The dock was great for the little ones to fish from and the lake had easy access for swimming. Cabins were well stocked w necessities and we appreciated the basket. Communication with owner was excellent. We did have a few issues during our stay. The hot water tank had to be replaced but, if we wanted hot water, we had no choice. Service was prompt and friendly. The firewood must have been wet because we couldn’t get much of it to light and what we were able to light smoked like crazy. The grills were in bad need of cleaning. We had very few garbage bags and the pullout for the garbage cans in Bear cottage would only pull out halfway, making it very difficult to access the recycle bin. Suggestion-a bit more clear and thorough set of instructions for operating the A/C - heating units would have been appreciated. Took us a couple of days to figure it out. Overall, we had a great time, were impressed w the amenities and hope to return in the future. Our grandchildren said - “ It was their best vacation ever.”

Weekend get away

Very cute cabin with updated kitchen and cable/Wi-Fi. The owners respond very quickly to questions. Great location for Saranac Lake and Lake Placid. Lovely view of Lake Colby and fire pits right next to lake.

Perfect cabin and beautiful lake!

We stayed for a long weekend before kids went back to school. We brought our dog and everyone had a blast! Beautiful cabin on the lake. Everything you need for a relaxing stay! We fished the lake with provided boats, grilled on a charcoal grill (loved that it was charcoal) really brought back memories of my childhood! We treated it as a device free weekend and really connected with our kids! So worth it!! We will be back.

Perfect lake stay!

This cabin was everything we hoped for on our Saranac Lake trip. The cabin is clean and comfortable and has everything you need. The grounds are right on the lake with a dock, boat rack with canoes and kayaks, nice fire pit and chairs, and there's a little city beach right next door to walk to. 5 mins from town and all the amenities. We'll be back!

My husband and I live in the Hudson Valley, but our favorite place to relax and recreate is the Adirondacks. Our caretaker is up the road and you will be provided his cell number. We are also a phone call or text away.

During COVID-19 our staff are taking extra precautions to disinfect surfaces. We have Covid Checkout guidelines posted in each cabin.

We provide fresh towels and linens and in the summer months, beach towels and life jackets for guests. In warm weather months, guests can choose from two row boats, two canoes and 3 kayaks which are kept at our private beach.

This cabin is a two minute walk to the public beach and a one minute drive to the public boat launch. We do not allow check-in or check-out on Saturdays from the third week of June to the first week of September.
Let us know if you wish to book more than one cabin. We have 3 other cabins: Bear (2 bed one bath), Fish (one bed, one bath) and Loon (one bed, one bath) available for one large group to enjoy. All 4 cabins would sleep 18 people.

We do not allow check-in or check-out on Saturdays from the third week of June to the first week of September.

These cabins are on a beautiful lake where one can enjoy swimming or use of any of our 7 boats. A short drive away are excellent golf courses, some of the best hiking on the East Coast and great down hill skiing and snow boarding. Our cabins are insulated and heated year round and renters will enjoy the serenity of Lake Colby and the wonderful village of Saranac Lake any month of the year.

Our cabins are furnished and decorated with the history of the Adirondacks in mind, but with all of the comforts you would enjoy in your own home: AC, WIFI and Smart TV's. Enjoy fresh coffee on Lake Colby in the morning and a beer at the fire pit lakeside at sunset.
