Lovely stay

Place was as lovely as the pictures showed. Loved the river view and the geese and deer. I hope we can come again in a different season to enjoy the beauty.

The river rushing by was calming and a welcomed soundtrack to our weekend away. It was nice to have the fence area for the dog to run around without worry of getting into things she shouldn't. Definitely will keep this on the short list for the next time we want to get away.

Perfect Place to Relax After Day at Ballfield!

We stayed while playing a travel ball tournament. The relaxing sound of the river, quite neighborhood, relaxing drive and sweet cabin made this an amazing stay. Hot tub was just the thing to unwind with. In the morning, the sweet deers were fun to watch. It was just amazing. Ample parking, comfy beds, beautiful views... just amazing.

It wasn't too horrible as we only went out once a day and spent the rest of our time in/around the cabin. The fenced-in yard was perfect for the dogs, and the easy access to the river allowed for hours of fun in the water. The stairs going to the fenced area was very loose and not attached in some areas. The back yard could have been mowed or weeded. Over all a great place. Being right on the river was fantastic. After 7 days we still did not want to leave. As in other reviews, the deer where abundant and not afraid. The river was so relaxing to look at. We tried our hand at fishing and the only thing we caught was a great time. Unlike other reviews, we had no issue with the internet. We are already looking to see when we can take time to go back.

I and my fur-baby (Penny) thoroughly enjoyed relaxing and listening to the river.Best thing is that when I got ready to leave, Penny decided that she didn’t want to leave, went under the bed & wouldn’t come out. I sent a cry for help to host and within 2 minutes a very sweet lady (housekeeping) came to the door and offered to help. Ultimately she got Penny out from her hiding place. She even carried her to the car for me! THAT is service above and beyond! I give the cabin and the staff a big 5 stars. Thank you!

Wonderful Mini Vacation in a Quiet Peaceful Setting

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our experience was more than we could have imagined. The cottage was very neat and clean. The river at our back door and very peaceful sounding. There wasn’t access to the River, but you can enjoy nature and the sound. We had everything we needed. Only brought what food and drinks desired. The indoor pool, puttputt, and entire recreation center was spectacular. Staff was friendly and everything was clean and enjoyable. Driveway was a little bit of a challenge getting out, but made it on the second try! Be prepared to drive deep into the woods for your peaceful retreat. 30 minutes from main gate on winding roads with beautiful views along the way. Overall experience was wonderful and we can’t wait to come back!

Somewhat Disappointed

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin has a great layout. The kitchen is well supplied and very clean, as well as the bathroom. The floor we filthy and felt like you were walking on sand. The blue recliner in the cabin is broken and should not be used as there are brackets sticking out and scratched my ankle. We chose this cabin as it advertised a hot tub and river access. The hot tub had only a couple of jets working so we were not able to use it nor did we feel it would be safe to use since it was not in complete working order. The bottom step to the river was totally broken off and therefore access to the river was not available since we are both over 60 yrs. in age. It is obvious that the owner is collecting rent and not doing up-keep on the cabin. This is a shame since the pictures on line show it in much better condition. We rent cabins all the time for our vacations and we would have never had negative comments about the rentals we have stayed at. We work hard for our money and save all year for vacation so our expectations are not unreasonable!

Dog bed, pet sheets, dog towel, poop bags and TREATS. All of us loved this cabin. You could sit on the screened in porch and watch or the river or go fishing. Nice area, nice cabin! We will be back soon.

Reviewer Comments: The Coosawattee River Resort is the most relaxing place to walk my dog in north Georgia because I've never seen any loose dogs there, except on the other side of the river. It would be nice if there were real hiking trails, but the gravel roads are decent for walking.
