Det tilbyder en rummelig stue, masser af aktiviteter og over 2 ACRES af privatlivets fred på ELLIJAY RIVER. Det har et indhegnet område til hundene lige uden for hovedniveauet af huset. Prøv at fiske efter ørred eller binde et rør og flyde dagen væk, måske læse en god bog på en af de mange dæk eller verandaen, nyd et livligt spil pool i kælderen gameroom, spille pacman eller bare sidde og se flodstrøm forbi. Family fun on the river

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We only had a long weekend stay, but the kids wanted to stay longer. The cabin was great for 2 families with 7 people. The screened in porch, hot tub, game room and river access were our favorite parts. It is a log cabin so there are quirks. The upstairs was much hotter, no fan in the upstairs bathroom meant it got very steamy, ant invasion in the kitchen. The cabin was well stocked with the basics, we had everything we needed for cooking and entertainment. Some of the other cabins along the river provided tubes, this one did not so make sure to bring them. The town of Blue Ridge has a scenic railway, a ropes course and other activities. I wish we had time to visit the wineries close by. Easily enough to do to fill a week stay.

Summer Relaxation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin location was perfect. We loved that the entire yard was fenced in to allow our fur baby to roam freely around the property. We did get a workout from climbing the stairs from the main level to the water side. We had an issue with sugar ants in the kitchen and had to spray bug spray daily (this was a first for us as many previous cabins did not have this issue). Also, the doors on the main floor are difficult to open and close. Overall, the cabin had plenty of amenities and games. The family loved playing pool in the evening while watching the basketball playoffs. There are plenty of places to read and relax. It was such a peaceful stay.

Awesome accommodations for the whole family

We brought along our 3 little dogs, all under 10 lbs each, and loved the fact that the entire driveway and lawn area is all fenced in to where they were unable to get out. They are exploratory and loved sniffing all over the driveway and around the grassy areas. My nephews had a blast wading in the river. We brought waders for all of the kids to enjoy and they loved it! We tried our hand at fishing but didn't have any luck. The cabin was super clean and had everything we needed. The game room was excellent and kept the kids entertained! We loved the hot tub and all of the outdoor deck space. Truly enjoyed our stay here! It was super fun driving all the way back to the cabin, glad we had our 4x4 truck but it is not needed. My sister rented a car from ATL airport and got a small crossover that worked great, we flipped it into low gear and it handled the bumps and steep slopes very well. Thank you for everything!

Great place

We had a great time at this place. It was clean and had everything we needed. As a person who doesn’t own pets I was worried about any smells, but it didn’t smell bad, which was great. The river was nice but not that good for swimming or fishing. Overall it was a nice place.

Secluded

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Pros: Fencing around the property is great for dogs. Appreciate the non-hassle with brining dogs. Good location on the river. Cabin was clean with no evidence inside of dogs. Screened porch was nice for relaxing. No worry with being too close to neighbors. Cons: The outside of the cabin is in need of some TLC. Some simple blowing and sweeping would help. Upon arrival, the entire 2nd floor temperature felt like an attic. Our 2nd floor guests stayed elsewhere the first night as we could not get it cooled down. While it remained hot, we did get it cooled down some for the remaining days, but it was still uncomfortable. We did see 4 roaches on our 3-day stay. One scurried up my daughter's leg upon entering the cabin. I understand cabin is in the woods, but it may be time for some attention from the exterminator. Ants joined us in the kitchen. There were 3 steak knives. We grilled steaks and had to share the 3 knives. The grill igniter doesn't work - must use lighter. The garbage bags were not the right size for outside cans, which was a pain. Previous guests had not cleaned up dog poop. This is not a reflection on Forever Friday. Shame on previous guests. This is what makes it hard for renters to allow pets! Cabin is a drive back in the woods on a dirt road. It was a haul. Be prepared.

Our stay

We enjoed the cabin. There were a few issues that were there when we arrived and could not be addressed until after we left, such as water in basement game room. But I’m sure all will be fixed for next guest. The road to cabin was very long, windy and not what I enjoyed. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5.

Reviewer Comments: This was the first time renting from Sliding Rock we usually used a different company and I now realized that we have been making a mistake. Sliding Rock are very professional and the Cabins they offer are amazing. We will for sure use them again and hopefully get this same cabin again. The rooms are great and the boys really loved the game room.

Family reunion

Beautiful property and perfect location. My family really enjoyed the stay at this property. We hang out on the lower deck for most of the day. This deck is right on the river and the men were fishing from there the whole day while we kept them company and sunbath. There’re a lot of very steep stairs connecting the four levels of the house which makes it very difficult for seniors, younger children an older dogs to access. You can reach the lower deck by walking around the house on the outside. We had my grandson‘s first birthday party at the river by the fire pit. It was so beautiful and beautiful memories were made.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I were so impressed with our experience. Everything was so organized and ready for our arrival. I read the reviews before the trip, and now that I have finished my trip, I have to agree with the positive feedback. The cabin was truly dog friendly, clean, organized, and beautiful. We loved the fenced in flat driveway to be able to let our dogs out. We did not let our dogs go in the fenced in area where the river was -- but having the driveway was superb! The house really was wonderful. The game room was a hit. We would definitely consider coming back! The other thing we liked was how the front porch area had a gate as well so we could contain the dogs before we brought them to the driveway. Very, very dog friendly experience.

Great Family Spot

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was perfect for our group of 6. Grandparents,2 grown Kids & 2 grandboys age 12 & 13. We brought a huge 10 person float, secured it with a rope stretching acrossed the river & had a blast hanging out in the river while the boys explored the river up towards the covered bridge. The screened porch was great to hang out on in the evenings. Once we found out where all the bee`s were coming in from ( a small hole in the outside wall of the porch, we plugged it w/ a paper towel & the bee problem was gone) The screens on the porch could use a GOOD cleaning, as well as the windows in the living room looking out onto the river. We take into consideration that the house is surrounded by woods and will of course get dirty. Although.....its obvious they havent been cleaned in a very long time. We dealt w/ it, not complaining, just sayin. The road leading up to the cabin is not for the faint of heart !!!
