Family Vacay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had 14 kids and 11 adults together for a fun filled week. There was plenty of room for everyone to sleep and gather comfortably. Location of the house was good for easy access to the big lake as we called it, and to the small lake and other amenities like shuffleboard, kayaking, basketball etc. While the house was well equipped with most everything we needed, it was not very well organized especially in the kitchen area. Great place for a big group.

Family Vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our house was as big as expected. There were plenty of kitchen supplies and the ice machine was great. The downsides were the downstairs floor was soaking wet when we arrived and the bedding smelled musty/not completely dry. The outside grounds area also needed tending.

August Fam Reunion

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time at the community. Staff were responsive. We liked having golf cart and screened porch. Bedrooms on second floor and one of the basement bedrooms were all nice.Kitchen was well stocked. Big pantry with ice machine and 2nd fridge. Guest apartment was nice except side door that didn’t lock. The property has a lot of maintenance issues inside and out that should be addressed. Fridge drawers broken, garbage pull out drawers broken. Door to porch broken. Back door had to be closed with a slide lock for it to stay closed. Etc.... It was frustrating that this property was rented in such poor condition. Garbage disposal broke, but that was fixed while we were there. The basement bedroom with the weird bed configuration needs to be replaced with something more functional. Plenty of room to put something that doesn’t require climbing over people or beds to get into bed. We had planned to put 2 adults and 2 kids in the room, but there was no way for adults to get into bed without having to climb over other beds. The top floor bunk room was very hot, once we got fan going etc. that helped but we didn’t use the room the first night because it was too hot.We had to move people to another house we rented. Luckily, we were able to adjust.I would not recommend this house until the maintenance issues are fully resolved. Not having doors that close and lock properly is a big safety issue. The kitchen issues were an unnecessary hassle/big inconvenience.

3rd Family Vacation at Crown Jewel

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We will be returning because of all the bedrooms, location, and amenities. Same problems as previous guests...Kitchen faucet, dishwasher, broken handles, broken screens, smell in apartment. However, when calling the office for help they were quick to send someone over to help with the problems. The house could use a good cleaning and I am hoping next year there is a new mattress in the main level bedroom and replace some of the worn out porch furniture.

A couples get away

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been coming to the Crown Jewel for a get away with our friends every September for the past 6 years. We absolutely love it! So many bedrooms with enough bathrooms for each couple and then some. The house is well stocked and always clean. If you have any questions, they are right there to assist. Excellent customer service with a smile. Love having a pool to use with a little store right there for snacks and icecream. It is an easy walk to Lake Michigan, but of course you have the use of a golf cart if you want. Never had a bad experience here and would highly recommend The Crown Jewel. It lives up to its name for sure! Our husbands love that golf is nearby and of course us ladies love that there is great shopping not far away. But not to forget, delicious restaurants to choose from! All in all, would highly recommend!

Great time!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great intergenerational time. The house worked great for our needs. The pictures online helped us well organize our sleeping arrangements. We enjoyed the golf cart. The house did have a problem with ants in the kitchen - both the big house and guest house - which did affect our food storage. The front porch really needed a good cleaning for start of season as well, which we realize we were there in May, as there was a lot of dust and bugs. Seemed it need to be opened up and vacuumed out well.
