Our stay at the Bayview was such an amazing experience. Situated right on the water with an expansive view of the beautiful surrounding landscape, this house was incredibly accommodating for my family’s vacation, and the management was very communicative and helpful. I recommend this house to anyone who wants close proximity to town and to the beauty of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park.

Great house for extended family vacation

We had a great time staying at Bay View. House views and location were amazing. We frequently walked into town and were in Acadia in minutes. Plenty of space to spread out or to be together for meals, games, etc.

Perfect Stay for Large Family

Our extended family of 18 had a wonderful stay at the Bayview. We were enchanted with the home and it’s history. The location couldn’t be better with easy access to both town and Acadia. The pictures really don’t do this place justice!

Beautiful Home and Perfect for a Large Family

We love the history and grandeur of this beautiful home! Great location, walkable to downtown Bar Harbor with stunning ocean views. Plenty of space for our party of 14 adults. Highly Recommend!

Multi Generational Stay

Beautiful views of the bay in this expansive private home. We appreciated the two dishwashers as we frequently ate in the large kitchen.

Perfect Bar Harbor get away

Amazing, huge, historic house on the water. Very well equipped. Lovely lawn and dock. Was perfect for our extended family of 12 but can easily fit up to 18 which is their limit. Hiking, biking, swimming and eating filled the week...along with a lumberjack show and lobster boat trip.

Great place!

Spent a week with friends at this fabulous place. Location is perfect. Easy walk into town, beautiful scenic views and plenty of room. We had 17 guests and we all agree it was terrific. House was clean and had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend this rental for large groups and would use it if we were to visit Bar Harbor again

Great Rental

We had a party of nine and everyone was pleased with this rental. It has plenty of space for large parties. The description was accurate. The view from the back of the property is fabulous.

Lovely home stepping back in time

This was a lovely experience for our adult family reunion. The location was ideal for access to Acadia and Bar Harbor. The home is a grand mansion of the 30's, well maintained, with plenty of room to spread out. We especially enjoyed evenings by the fire pit over looking the harbor. We would definitely return.

Perfection!

This was the most unique and historic home we have ever had the pleasure of renting. We were here for a family reunion. There was plenty of room for us all and this beautiful home was perfectly located between the Village Green and Acadia National Park. We were pleased at how well equipped and clean the house was and thoroughly enjoyed the large back deck with the outdoor fire pit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Bar Harbor week with friends

Our group of 5 couples had a great week’s stay at the Bayview. It was a lovely historic home right on the Bay and close to town. We had plenty of room for everyone to spread out and enjoy all parts of the house but most of our time was spent on the beautiful patio overlooking the water where we could see boats, sunrises and sea lions. The kitchen was well appointed and great for a big group. We loved being walking distance to town and a short drive to the entrance of Acadia. Great spot for a big group!

Superb setting for a large family like ours. We had 5 family units, 18 in all. All the adults had comfortable, spacious bedrooms with great views. The kitchen was expansive, well-equipped, and suitable for multiple family dinner nights. We especially loved the piano room since we have many musical family members. To have a Steinway at our disposal was a treat. The house was quiet, interesting and historic. A bit like moving into the world of the early 20th century elite, especially with the old servant's call button panel still on the wall. The grounds are beautiful with a large lawn for games, a terrace for chilling, and a million-dollar view of Frenchman's Bay. It's an easy and picturesque walk to town or the sandbar. And, of course, Acadia is the best! We all agreed that it was a fantastic property and a memorable family vacation. I don't know if we'll be back since the world is a big place, but I'd definitely recommend it to anyone.

Wonderful vacation

The house is exactly as described, meaning it is beautiful and grand. The location is perfect, as it is very close to town and the entrance to the Acadia entrance. I still cannot get over the use of the term "cottage" as this is a magnificent estate. The view from the backyard is incredible, from the sunrise from the dock, to the stars at night while sitting around the firepit. Each room is decorated beautifully. The stay was like stepping back in time to a wonderful, relaxing moment. I would highly recommend staying here for a Bar harbor vacation.
