Villa Volare was everything we’d all hoped for and more. We were a group of five adults, including me, my wife, our son and his wife, and our other adult child. We stayed seven nights, 6 June through 13 June, 2026.
We used all three bedrooms so we each had privacy. Two bedrooms opened to small balconies with views to the sea. Each bedroom had its own bathroom. The kitchen was fine for our needs and plans—breakfast in house, quick lunches in or out, and dinner out in the evening. A fourth bathroom was just off the kitchen, same place where there was a washing machine. As with most Italian residences, there was no dryer—but there were clothespins and a drying rack.
Our favorite spot in the villa was outside on the upper level. There we found a small pool, all sorts of patio chairs, and a sailcloth awning stretched over one set of chairs. We hung out up there every day. And, the view was astounding. We loved relaxing and watching the world go by!
Another benefit of Villa Volare: It’s in Praiano. Not Positano, not Amalfi, both of which are way too crowded and touristy for us. Praiano had everything we needed, and we could go from there—a half-day boat trip, a day trip to Ravello, an in-house chef prepping dinner one night, a pasta-making lesson just a walk away, and more. Many great restaurants within walking distance—and remember those walks always include stairs and inclines!
A great week of fun, activities, and relaxation. Would go back in a heartbeat.
We booked with Summer in Italy because you managed the property we wanted! We found it using VRBO initially. You all were extremely helpful throughout the many months leading up to our trip, answering our questions. You helped us find Chef Balda for in-house dinner and you recommended Amalfi Coast Transfers—Mena took care of us all week.
