The cottage was charmingly decorated and perfectly situated for short walks to shops and cafes on the waterfront. We would definitely stay there again!

Katrina and Eric have a beautiful clean rental with an equipped kitchen for cooking meals in when not wanting to go to the variety of great restaurants on and near Bay Street. The space is ample for short or long stays, that includes a nice living room with a TV that has Roku and free movies/TV shows for those that don’t have Roku. The rental home has comfortable beds, a washer/dryer and two nicely appointed bathrooms.. We were at home in the rental and enjoyed sitting in the screened in porch every day., a real bonus for us. The rental is within walking distance to all restaurants and shops that beautiful Beaufort has to offer. The rental is 15 miles from Huntington Beach State Park, a very nice beach, 25 minutes from Bluffton (outlet malls/Sam's Club) and 1 hour and 20 minutes to Charleston, an easy drive.

Fantastic vacation rental

Beaufort Vacation

Erick and Katrina were great to deal with. We are so appreciative they shared their property with us. They have done a wonderful job remodeling. Great location with most restaurants and shops within walking distance .

Wonderful location

This is our 2nd time at this property and we have already booked for next year. Cozy, well equipped home with the two bedrooms well separated from each other. The common living space is comfortable and lovely and the location is unbeatable, only steps from Bay Street, restaurants, stores and pubs. For us, it is like having a second home. Highly recommend!

Like Home Sweet Home

This was our 5th time at 407 West Street. It’s a beautiful rental. The owners are very hospitable and welcoming. We returned to our favorite places, such as Hunting Island State Park, to enjoy a day at the beach, a walk downtown to Henry Chambers Waterfront Park & Kilwins for some ice cream, a walk to the historic old section to view the magnificent homes, a trip to Shellring Brewery in Port Royal after a Thursday evening group run, time with friends at Beaufort Track Club and out to Marker 244 for Tuesday night Trivia. Beaufort will always be a special place to us.

Our “Home Away From Home”

This is the 3rd year we have stayed at this property and we continue to enjoy it immensely. The location is superb - easy stroll to Beaufort’s pretty waterfront and restaurants, bars and shops. It is lovely to start each day with any number of quiet neighborhoods in which to walk and admire the stunning antebellum architure and the graceful live oaks that connect us to the history of this area. Katrina and Eric are the best type of hosts - responsive and unobtrusive. Highly recommend the property. The design of the home is perfect for two couples such as us with the bedrooms at opposite sides of the structure and the common area connecting those in the middle. We tend to have most of our meals (breakfast/dinner) at home and the kitchen is well appointed for this.

Perfect Location / Spotless & Very Comfortable

The cottage is only two short blocks from the commercial and restaurant heart of historic downtown, but is on a quiet, shady one-way street, so you'd think you were miles away. The house itself is old and quaint in appearance and character, but absolutely modern and highly functional in terms of all of its appliances, plumbing, electric, etc. Our host Katrina was always available, and responded quickly to what few questions or requests we had, but otherwise was content to leave us to our own to enjoy ourselves (which we very much did). By day two of a one month stay, we decided we wanted to return next year, and thus made arrangements a year in advance. This was our fifth visit to Beaufort, and our third extended stay. Between the cottage itself and its gracious host, it made for the perfect getaway.

Beaufort, SC, Our Second Home

This is the 4th time we stayed at 407 West St. There is nothing like southern charm. Beaufort is a friendly place and Eric and Katrina are exceptional hosts. The home is clean, and well equipped with everything that is needed for a short or extended stay. Once again we enjoyed sitting on the screened in porch for breakfast and later in the evening after a long day of sightseeing and meeting up with friends. Beaufort is centrally located, an easy drive to Charleston, Savannah, Bluffton, Walterboro, Summerville, Yemassee, Johns Island and Hilton Head. We visited all of the above. We found a new place called Harold's Country Club in Yemassee, a restaurant that was once a full-service garage. The place is unique and the steak dinner on Saturday evenings is a must-try. We reunited with friends at the Beaufort Track Club and met up with owners/friends at a local establishment on Bay Street. We visited Hunting Island State Park/beach and renewed our annual pass. Beaufort will forever be our second home.

Great House, Quiet Neighborhood, Near Downtown

We stayed for one month. We really appreciated the excellent King size bed in the master bedroom, updated and roomy bathrooms, and walk-in closet in the second bedroom. We loved hanging out on the screened in porch. Plus there is a bench swing on the front porch. Th house is a mere three blocks from the heart of downtown beafort and about five blocks from the river/river-front restaurants. The house is in an unusal location in the sense that on this block there is a law firm to the left but out of view due to high, thick shrubs; a church property across the street; a historic, empty vllla across the street, and then one neighbor to the left. Privacy is quite good, again, due to vegitation. There are many large trees in the area, some with spanish moss, wonderful to view. From the master bed you can see out the bedroom, through the living room, out the front door, and you see only greenery (and maybe a bit of the empty villa). In a perfect world the fridge would have a water dispenser and an ice maker, and the garden would have seating so it could be utilized. There are good laundry facilities onsite. Owner was super responsive.

Wonderful stay

Four of us (two couples) spent a month at this property, and enjoyed the experience immensely. In fact, we have already booked another stay here for next year. Located in the historic area of Beaufort, the house is ideally situated for anyone who enjoys easy, walkable access to Beaufort’s lovely waterfront and downtown shops, restaurants and pubs as it is a mere two blocks from Bay Street. If you are bringing or renting bikes, you can bike directly from the property through neighbourhoods for about 10 minutes to reach the Spanish Moss Trail, a biking/walking paved trail that links Paris Island to Port Royal. We also enjoyed daily strolls through the nearby neighbourhood at The Point, famous for “Tidalhome”, the house used for The Great Santini and The Big Chill films. The house itself is in a remarkably quiet spot, given how close it is to the downtown core. The street fronting the property is one way only which cuts down on traffic noise considerably. There is a large screened in porch at the side of the house with table/chairs at one end and a couch and chair at the other, providing a lovely private spot to read and listen to the songbirds. There is a separate covered porch with a swing in the front of the house, so even four adults had many options to find quiet spots to enjoy on our own. The square footage of the home is not large but the layout is nicely arranged, with a well appointed, recently updated kitchen open to a nice sized dining area. We made most of our meals at the house, and the kitchen had everything we needed, including some really lovely serving dishes. The living room is also a good size, furnished with a large comfortable (pullout) sofa and wing chairs. The two bedrooms/bathrooms are well separated from each other for maximum privacy. We found the beds to be extremely comfortable and there is plenty of storage space for clothing, including a very large closet in the second bedroom where we kept four sets of golf clubs. The private driveway is a bonus as street parking can be taken up by folks visiting the downtown. Our hosts, Katrina and Eric, respected our privacy while being available for questions which were answered in minutes. Thoughtful amenities, such as a hairdryer and a blue tooth enabled speaker, were a nice touch. We had a wonderful time here and would recommend it highly.

Back Again!

This was the third time we stayed at this rental in downtown Beaufort. Katrina and Eric are great hosts. The home is beautiful, clean, and comfortable. We made good use of the kitchen this visit. We enjoyed sitting in the screened-in porch during breakfast and during the evening hours. We brought our bicycles this time and enjoyed the Spanish Moss Trail. We bought an annual park pass and visited Hunting Island State Park several times, well worth the $99.00 cost. We joined our friends from the Beaufort Track Club for bi-weekly runs. We love Beaufort and are looking forward to next spring and our 4th stay at this rental.

Great accommodations

Beaufort is an ideal location in the low country and it is made even more enjoyable when staying in this comfortable, well-located renovated cottage. Katrina and Eric were very responsive and great to deal with. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and plan to return.

This house was perfectly located and a wonderful house.

The house has all the amenities we could want or need. The owners are so kind and made it so easy check in and out. Perfectly located downtown in the historic district, we walked most everywhere.

Can't Wait to Return!

This is our second time staying at this historic cottage, and are looking forward to our third stay next spring. The home is clean and equipped with everything one would need for a comfortable stay. We made good use of the screened in porch, enjoying the morning sun while eating breakfast and evening solitude after a long day seeing the sites. We find Beaufort to be quaint and very friendly, a great place to get in a morning run. There are many restaurants to enjoy from coffee shops and casual dinning to upscale dinning. If you love live music, Luther's on Bay Street has live music on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Hemmingway's Bar behind Panini's has live music on Sunday's. For an outdoor favorite, The Port Royal Community Beer Garden at Sands Beach has live music Friday, Saturday evenings and a sound system Sunday afternoon. Hunting Island Beach State Park is a great place to go and enjoy the sun, sand and water. This home is a great find and centrally located to all the sites that Beaufort has to offer. We highly recommend this rental.

Attention to Detail

Katrina and Eric have a beautiful home. The home was completely renovated and very comfortable. It was like being at home on vacation. The king sized bed had the most comfortable mattress alleviating any pain caused by lying on pressure points. Katrina and Eric had a well-stocked kitchen. We loved cooking with the Green Pans, using the crock-pot steamer, the Breville toaster oven and outdoor gas grill. I know a few gifts that will be on my Christmas list. We sat in the screened in porch many mornings enjoying our coffee and many evenings after a long day touring the area by car and foot. We will be back to rent again!

Abundant excellence!

I cannot say enough about the feel of home we had while staying at this gorgeous property. We cooked daily in the well equipped kitchen and dined each evening on the lovely screened in porch. The beds and linens were superb. Katrina made everything so easy and gave wonderful recommendations from the farmer's market to Local things to see and do. The pictures do not do justice for this beautifully restored home. We will most definitely stay again.

A Real Find

Wonderfully situated for those who want to explore Beaufort on foot and still have easy access to other coastal towns and the islands. Extraordinarily comfortable but also unusually attractive. The quaint Old Beaufort quality of the exterior matches so well with the mixture of modern and antique interior. The appliances are in excellent condition. The kitchen is small but well designed. We would regularly enjoy a quiet breakfast then walk a couple of blocks to the bay and treat ourselves to a latte. After two weeks there, we returned home, but it is the kind of place one could spend a season. The owners were very pleasant. A minor glitch with the television was quickly (and pleasantly) resolved. We hope to return.
