Hidden Gold Ranch House sits on half an acre and is home to 12 mature Joshua Trees, making it a true desert oasis and a rare find in Yucca Valley. Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood just minutes from Joshua Tree National Park, this private retreat offers guests the beauty of the high desert right in the backyard.

Relax in the heated saltwater pool and spa surrounded by natural desert landscaping and the iconic Joshua Trees that make this property unique. Inside, the décor blends cowboy and bohemian style. Each king bed provides comfort for restful nights, and the queen bunk bed offers extra space for family or friends.

Pool Maintenance:
To keep the pool clean and safe, our specialist maintains it on Tuesdays and Fridays between 12 PM and 2 PM, taking about 20 minutes. Thank you for your cooperation.

Local Highlights:
Explore Yucca Valley’s shops and live music spots like Pappy & Harriet’s and the Integratron. Take in vintage stores along Highway 62. The house has smart lock access and a spa remote for convenience.

Monica and Skip were exquisite hosts! I rented the property to put up my wedding party and give them a comfortable place to stay. Not only was the property beautiful, not only were my guests comfortable, but Monica and Skip really went the extra mile for my guests. I took the opportunity to take a dip in the pool during the weekend and it was just LOVELY! Highly recommend!!

Skip and Monica were lovely hosts. Any concerns or issues that arrose were quickly addressed by them during the visit. The property was like something from a dream. The pool in particular was a big standout for me and my party in this extremely hot summer. Speaking of, our hosts were very accommodating for our multiple guests that arrived throughout the week. Everyone had a beautiful time. 10/10 would stay here again!

Absolutely love this property has everything you need that you’re comfortable couches are comfortable. Kitchen is great and they have all the amenities that you’ll need games heating pads, baby baths, etc. etc. and as far as the outdoor pool area absolutely perfect I was able to spend the week with my grandkids, swimming barbecuing, and playing games. Love this property will be booking again.

This place has it all… look no further for a great desert escape that will leave you eager to plan your next stay. The house has all of the modern conveniences you will need, but also has that mid-century charm. Very clean and well-taken care of. The outdoor space is all you can ask for… huge pool and inviting spa (both immaculately clean), plenty of space to lounge, play, cook, and enjoy your time with friends and family. Skip and Monica’s place is great! The pool area is amazing—lovely pool, hot tub, outdoor games, tables for dining, a fire pit, great views of the stars. The house was super well appointed. It had everything we needed and more. And it’s only 10 mins from the closest hike in Joshua Tree and maybe 25 from the main Joshua Tree (town) entrance.

This property is perfect. Pool and jacuzzi were great and there are tons of games to play in the large backyard. Beautifully landscaped with amazing Joshua Trees in the back and the front yard is beautiful too. The house has everything you could want to cook and the big screen TV in the living room was a real treat for us. It's huge.Thank you Monica and Skip for our wonderful anniversary trip. The house was fully equipped with everything listed and more. Great to have so many extra items available in the kitchen so we didn’t need to buy these at the grocery store such as mustard, catsup, sauces, pickles, mayo, spices, bag of ice chips, etc were available for our use. All beds were very comfy. Extra blankets and pillows as needed in each room. The pool and spa are big and so many floats and toys available for our use. Pool is salt water vs chlorine which is so nice. House is roomy. Back yard is huge. We were very happy with our experience. And Skip answered all of our questions. Great host. Thank you.

We had a wonderful time in this peaceful and well appointed home! Well stocked, nicely decorated and the outdoor spaces were wonderful! We really enjoyed the spa! The owners cared about the details and the guests comfort. When we had some issues with the pool heating they got right on it to make it all right. So close to Joshua Tree and the ones in the yard are huge., our little dog had a great time exploring the whole place! Thank you,great stay!

I've stayed at many short term rental properties where the pictures are doctored up and it's super disappointing upon arrival.This is definitely not one of those places! Upon arrival, this house was exactly as described and really made my family happy.The pool was our main concern as the kids wanted to spend lots of time in it, and it did not disappoint. The pool was very nice - had a shallow section where toddlers can even splash around, and had a connected jacuzzi on a higher level. When the jacuzzi jets were not on, the water for both were being filtered. The main thing was that it was super clean and clear!We rented this place for our trip to Joshua Tree National Park and for some R&R before the kids started school. The interior was very comfortable with the kitchen being super clean and well stocked with everything that we would need. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms were clean and well stocked.The backyard is very spacious with a small park-like hangout spot, and a covered area where we can play various games - Jenga, Connect, cornhole, etc.Of course the pool/jacuzzi - they have lots of floaties so you can relax on the water.The host (Skip) was very communicative, helpful, and quick to respond to my messages. I would highly recommend anyone staying in this area to stay at this house. Do all your shopping beforehand since you may not leave due to it being so nice and relaxing! I know my family will be back here again.

Amazing hidden gem

This house was great! Very clean, awesome pool/spa. Great place for a family or group of adults. We loved our stay!!!

Great location

We traveled with a 2 year old and 7 month old- this was a perfect place to relax and have proximity to JTNP. We had a great time!

Fabulous Stay

The house is wonderful! Well appointed. Tons of amenities; pool and hot tub were loved by the family. Best rental house we’ve stayed at.

Our team consists of Monica, a former Dental Hygienist, and myself, a former Senior Vice President of Commercial Banking. Our property is located in a peaceful and quiet residential section of Yucca Valley, making it the perfect retreat for those looking to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the desert. Plus, you'll be within walking distance to the boundary of Joshua Tree National Park and just a short 15-minute drive to the official park entrance in Joshua Tree. If you're interested in camping, the Black Rock Canyon Campground is also conveniently nearby.

For those looking to explore the surrounding area, we're just a short drive away from Pioneertown and Pappy & Harriet's, two must-see destinations in the area. You won't have to worry about navigating any dirt roads to get to our property, and you'll have easy access to abundant shopping options like Walmart, Stater Brothers, Dollar Store, Grocery Outlet, Rite Aid, Walgreens, and Vons. Plus, there are plenty of dining options nearby, so you'll never have to go far to find a great meal. We believe our property is the perfect home base for anyone looking to experience the best of the desert and we look forward to hosting you!

Getting around Yucca Valley and Joshua Tree is a breeze, with Highway 62 running through the entire city. Along the way, you'll find Morongo Valley gas stations, Cactus Mart, and a variety of unique vintage stores with cafes sprinkled in. Be sure to stop by the Frontier Cafe on Pioneer Road and Hwy 62 before checking out the art display at the ACME gift shop out back, and don't miss the inviting Hoof and Post and other nearby shops.

There are also several grocery stores along Hwy 62, including Stater Brothers, Vons, and Grocery Outlet, as well as a row of fast food options that includes Arby’s, McDonald's, Del Taco, Sonics, and Starbucks. Towards Yucca Valley's end, you'll find the Super Walmart and Home Depot, along with more chain eateries like Steak and Shake, Panda Express, and Taco Bell.

Joshua Tree City is home to stunning scenic views and unique stores, including the must-visit Rock Shop and Joshua Tree Coffee. If you're up for an adventure, head down Park Ave. to discover Coyote Corner, JT Saloon (which can have a long wait but is worth it), JT Visitor Center, and the Crochet Museum.

Park Ave. is also the entrance to Joshua Tree National Park, where you can explore the breathtaking landscapes and take on a variety of hikes. Note that there is a fee of around $30.00 to enter the park, but it's well worth it. Our favorite hike is Parker Dam, and we highly recommend checking out the photo-worthy Skull Rock while you're there.
