Lovely Clean Large Villa, Great Views, Friendly Helpful Owner
Lovely Villa within half hour drive of Rome or Fiumicino Airport. Located at the end of a country road, the villa has a few surrounding properties at a lower level so you have clear views of the surrounding countryside and park land. As the property is located higher than Rome there is a gentle warm breeze which is nice when using the pool. The pool is clean and the automatic robot which you can drop into the pool for an hour each day soon sorts the leaf material which gets blown in over night.
The large swimming pool is just right for cooling off during the day and the warm blow up Jacuzzi pool is great for relaxing in the cooler evenings watching the swallows dipping in the pool in the early evening and bats starting to fly into the late evening.
The charcoal barbecue area is great, the real wood fired pizza oven makes fantastic pizza too and Mauro the friendly owner/property manager enables an easy start by supplying some starter wood/coals as well as providing good advice on visiting Rome.
The Villa itself is huge, each bedroom has an en-suite. The aircon works fine but it's best to make use of open windows and doors during the cooler periods of evening and morning so the aircon doesn't need to work so hard. There is a supermarket within 10 minute drive which stocks everything we needed and 5litre bottles of wine for 10 Euros !
