Just over an hour north of Chicago in Burlington, Wisconsin and 10 minutes from fantastic downtown Lake Geneva, this location is ideal for your summer getaway. Come play on over 60 feet of lake frontage with private dock and steps away from a public beach! The house is just a 10 minute drive to the Country Thunder concert in Twin Lakes.

The house features an open floor plan with a new modern kitchen with large island, stainless appliances and quartz countertops. The large dining room table seats 12 with additional outside dining on the large deck directly off the living room. The large living room has plenty of windows to offer spectacular lake views, a large TV, and a fireplace to cozy up to on winter nights. The outside deck features additional table seating for 10, a large gas BBQ grill, and an outdoor sectional sofa for relaxing. Wind down each night at the fire pit next to the lake or relax with friends and family playing pool, ping pong, foosball, two arcade machines featuring 28 classic games, Xbox, or other games in the basement rec room.

The house layout is an open floor plan with the first floor consisting of a living room, kitchen, and dining room all in one large open space. Upstairs there is another full size bathroom and three bedrooms. The 1st bedroom has two queen beds. The 2nd bedroom has one queen bed and one twin bed. The 3rd bedroom has two full size beds. The basement features a queen sofa-bed couch that sleeps two along with a 4th bedroom with a queen bed and a twin bed. There is another full size bathroom in the basement.

PLEASE NOTE: This property has outdoor cameras facing the front and back doors of the house as well as the boat dock as a security measure.

Excellent Stay

We reserved this VRBO stay short notice and it was a great find to accommodate our large group. We had fun on Lake Bohner and the near by beach. It was also close to Lake Delavan where we rented a pontoon boat and Lake Geneva town which we were able to visit on a raining afternoon.

The house has a beautiful layout, and the location could not be better. We found it to be exactly as advertised and extremely comfortable. The hosts proved very accommodating, and we highly recommend this home for a large get-together.

Family time

Our first time as an entire family get away. Our adult children and grandkids ages 21-9. The open concept was perfect for group activity. The rec room and arcade games were a hit. Iwould recommend this house.

Nice Lake Experience

House had everything we needed for our family reunion, taking advantage of the water (we rented a pontoon boat from Action Marine), the house and the area. The one day it rained, we enjoyed the house games and toys. Open floor plan on the main floor (including back deck) allowed us to celebrate our family gathering. Hosts were quite responsive.

Better Than a Hotel

Our stay at this house was an absolute delight! The property itself was quite impressive, offering unique entertainment like giant Jenga that kept our group of 30-year-olds thoroughly entertained. The extensive outdoor seating areas facilitated wonderful conversations among friends, while the provided grill and tools created a perfect private space for sharing memorable moments and laughter. The variety of sleeping arrangements was incredibly practical, ensuring everyone who stayed found comfort. The host's communication was exceptional – swift, dependable, and incredibly accommodating, even granting us favors prior to our arrival. The comprehensive welcome book, along with a thoughtful gift of Ghirardelli chocolates, made both check-in and check-out effortlessly smooth. I would enthusiastically return to this property and highly recommend the hosts. It truly offered an experience superior to a traditional hotel.

Perfect Lake House Getaway

What a great escape in these times of social distancing! We were told we were the first to stay at Josh's lake house since they rehabbed all the bathrooms and kitchen and it was really spectacular. We used the large kitchen to make most of our meals which we then enjoyed on the deck table or the inside dining room table, both with breathtaking views of the lake! It wasn't warm enough to go in the lake yet, but we had beautiful spring days to take the kayaks (which they make available for guests) out on the lake. The kids loved the public beach two doors down with all the provided beach toys as well as making s'mores in their fire pit in front of the lake at night. We also went to Lake Geneva to stroll around and get ice cream - it was only about 10 minutes away. We also took the kids horseback riding nearby - they loved it! Overall, we will definitely be back!

Quick Family Trip- Loved being together on the lake

The property was perfect for our family get away (my parents, sisters, my husband, my two kids, and a cousin). There were plenty of beds and rooms for everyone (plus a few beds unused- next time we will know to invite more family along!). The remodeled kitchen and bathrooms were very nice, well stocked kitchen, and drinking water was provided, the beds were super super comfortable. We brought our own pontoon boat and were able to dock at the house. The lake water was very warm, and the public beach a few doors down was perfect for the kids! The lake has lots of seaweed but we anchored our pontoon in the middle and swam all day with our floaties and swim mat. (I think you can rent boats locally if you wanted!) We grilled every day on the gas grill and loved the view from the deck. We had great weather, but in the case of bad weather, I saw the house had tons of board games, pingpong, jenga, and a screened in porch under the deck. Highly recommend.

The house worked out perfectly for our family of 12 (8 adults and 4 kids). Having 3 full bathrooms was very helpful when everyone was done swimming for the day and needed showers. The seaweed by the dock was pretty rough, but we figured out we could rake it to the side and have a clearer place for the kids to jump in. We were also very appreciative of the large water jug with clean, cold water as we drink a lot of water and you can’t drink the water from the well. The house has everything we needed to cook all of our meals there and we appreciated the large fridge for storage. Lots of great memories were made here!

Really Nice Location and Lake House

This house is perfect for a family get away. There is plenty of room for everyone and the host, Josh, has provided games and lots of amenities for everyone. The Kitchen has all the bowls, pots, pans, etc you need to cook. The TV in the family room is BIG and has a Roku so you can connect to your favorite streaming services or use the TV service they provide. We rented a Pontoon boat and took our kids tubing and fishing. The lake is NOT very bus, y so it makes for a safe place to go tubing. The fishing was really good we caught Northern Pike, Bass and Perch. I would highly recommend this Lake House and we'll return again in the future.

Great place for a family reunion

This was a wonderful home for the whole family. The lay out was very open. The kitchen was well stocked. We rented a boat but also enjoyed the kayaks and fishing off the pier. The lake was the perfect size and not to busy to allow us to go tubing. We also really enjoyed the fireworks over the July 4 weekend The bedrooms are very tight but manageable. (We didn’t spend a lot of time in them). Overall it was the perfect place to enjoy a family reunion

Perfect COVID getaway!

We wanted a break from the norm during COVID and found the perfect retreat on Bohner lake! We rented a pontoon & did a lot of tubing, played a lot of cards in the shade on the beautiful porch, and caught a ton of fish off the dock! It was great for all ages from 8-50! Thank you!!

Wonderful lake home vacation

We were parents and 3 couples/adult children. The home is truly renovated very well with 3 nice full bathrooms. I had hoped for 4 ensuites, but this still worked very well for us. The lake is not large, but we had fun renting a pontoon and enjoyed the 2 kayaks included. The beach nearby was a pleasant surprise as we played bags and a frisbee game there in the afternoons. The kitchen and balcony were perfect for meals. Several of us had remote business meetings (of course), and there was space and reliable internet. Thanks for hosting us!

Amazing Lakehouse!

We loved our stay at Bohner Lake. Josh's home is so beautiful. It has been totally remodeled and has a perfect mix of modern touches with a rustic feel. We had fun hanging out on the deck, swimming in the lake, going to the beach, enjoying the kayaks and exploring the area. It is perfect for kids and families looking to get away. The owners were very responsive and made us feel welcome. We'll definitely be back!

Great family weekend

Josh's lakehouse was the perfect retreat for our group of 4 families. Beautiful views of the lake from the living room, dining room, deck, even the bedrooms. Each family was able to have our own bedroom which worked quite well. Note that their isn't a ton of space outside of the beds in the bedrooms - although this was perfectly fine for us as we only used them for sleeping. Views of the lake from the house and deck were excellent. We had everything we needed for our eight adults and six children - we definitely appreciated the two separate living areas which allowed the adults to enjoy themselves on the main floor while the kids had all the toys and games in the basement which provided much needed entertainment for them at night. Plus we used all the outdoor toys available in the shed - the kayaks, sand toys for the beach, floats, tubes, etc. New bathrooms were great, and the new kitchen was flawless. Thank you for a great stay!
