*PLEASE NOTE: SunDestin Beach Resort is undergoing an extensive property modernization project beginning September of 2024. Construction will occur from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, including weekends if required. Guest will most likely experience construction noise during these times and other inconveniences. Please be advised that our outdoor amenities will be closed until early Summer of 2025:
-Outdoor Hot Tub
-Splash Pad
The grill and smoking areas will be relocated during the renovation. The indoor pool and gym are available during their regular operating hours.
This timeframe coincides with the first two phases of our property renovation, and all dates are subject to change due to weather, labor, or supply chain issues. We apologize for any disruption and appreciate your understanding as we work to enhance our resort for your future enjoyment. Renovations will continue throughout 2025 and into Spring of 2026.

This newly renovated condominium located on the fifth floor offers a mesmerizing view of the Gulf of Mexico. The island-themed unit has accommodations for six and has a king bed in the primary and bunk area great for the kids. Special features are a 42-inch plasma TV and Jacuzzi tub in the primary bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped and has everything you need for a home-cooked meal. Sit on your private balcony and enjoy the sounds of waves crashing on the shore or catch up on your reading with a good book. Whatever it may be this condo is sure to make your stay memorable.
Things to Know
Check-in time: 4:00 p.m.
Check-out time: 10:00 a.m.
All guests shall abide by Vacasa’s good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.
SunDestin Beach Resort is undergoing construction to the building. Please expect intermittent noise during construction hours of 8am - 5pm Monday - Friday. If construction needs to go past these hours or on the weekends information will be posted a week in advance in the lobby of SunDestin. Construction will be completed by June 2025.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 1 vehicle.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

Horrible

Couldn’t even get us in a room. They texted us as we were driving to the condo to tell us it wouldn’t be available due to reconstruction. Ruined our whole trip.

Really nice condo!

We have been staying at Sundestin Beach Resort for about 7 years now. This is the second time we stayed in this particular condo and we loved it. Great beach, great environment and a really great condo!

Wonderful View - Little Small

The location and view were amazing! The bedroom was small and there isn't a lot of space for luggage due to oversized dresser. If dresser were removed and the TV mounted to the wall, that would allow a lot more space. It was very convenient to have a restaurant and a store in the lobby.

Great stay. Great location

This condo met most of our expectations. The location was great and the desk staff were friendly. We had a problem getting the main TV to work. We received a courtesy call from the vacasa staff to inquire about our stay thus far. We told them about the TV and we were told that someone was come to check on it. This was our first day there. No one ever showed up. We eventually were able to figure it out. We were disappointed that no one showed up. The only other complaint was that the room had a very musky smell. Other than that, we would book another trip and stay at SunDestin, but maybe a different room.

Adequate unit-Nothing special

You can easily tell this unit was purchased for rental purposes only. Had to call Vacasa for assistance with the main TV (3 remotes, no instructions provided). The tv kept losing signal. Bedroom tv broken, new one promised but never provided. Furniture in living area uncomfortable. Fortunately, it was only the 2 of us staying there.

Short Beach Trip

Unit was ok...aside from dirty towels that were left in the unit from the last people who stayed there. Also...We would have e liked to have come and used the beach from 11am until we could check in and when I inquired about this before our arrival I was told no...but when we checked in the clerk told me we could have come registered at the office and used the beach until check in...but we didn't know that so we went to public beach... So we really had NO beach time while staying g in this unit for 1 night...for what I consider overpriced at over $500 for 1 night...less than 24 hours.

NOT CLEAN

The fact that it was on the beach was the only plus. This condo looks and feels as though it has not been cleaned in a very long time... As soon as we walked through the door and put a box on the kitchen counter, you could hear sand under the box. We could not even take our shoes off in the condo because the tile floors were filthy and left the bottom of our feet gray/black. Absolutely nasty!

I did like the view I had on front of my balcony, also that I had the beach and pool next to me . I did not had to walk far. But I did not like the inside of the condo, sorry but it has a bad smell , not very clean , bed sheets not to clean as well, floor super slippery. Not enough towels if need them clean we need to do it our selfs. We get a charge for cleaning, but we had to take our own trash out and do the dishes. So what are we paying for?

A/C didn’t work properly

The view was awesome from the balcony. The air conditioner was working properly and it was hot in the home. We had to buy fans at Walmart to make it cause we couldn’t get a refund or get put in another room. It took forever for Vacasa to get back with us and kept saying they were doing everything they could. Then when they came he said that it was working. Coil was dirty and pan needs to be cleaned it had a lot of slime and algae in it. Will never use room 507 again in SunDestin condos.

Condo 0507 misleading

In a nut shell: -Anything you need you have to contact Vacasa vs Sundestin (the actual building you're in). We could not check in early even after calling Vacasa and informing them the room was cleaned. We even requested towels at the front desk bc we were out and were told to contact Vacasa or wash our dirty towels ourselves. Multiple towels in our closet that were supposed to be clean were dirty from the start. -The photos for this condo are very misleading. It's VERY run down and needs a lot of updates and repairs. There was no decor on the walls. The room smelled of mildew and the fridge/freezer smelled awful even being empty. It had a dead fish smell. The first night we had to catch a lizard and throughout our stay we killed NUMEROUS bugs/roaches. Missing light bulbs, moldy bathroom exhaust vents (1 not even fully attached to ceiling). Holes, bad patch jobs, moldy/tore up furniture. -I contacted Vacasa the first night and was told since it was so late, someone would contact me the next day. I waited until late evening and after noone contacted me I called again. I was given other condo options at different locations. None were in the same building or area and only 2 were gulf front which we paid for that were 15 minutes away across the bridge. We decided to stick it out since we needed to be near Sundestin for a family vacation. -Vacasa sent a maintenance worker to inspect our room for the smell and bugs. He changed the AC air filter and didn't walk past that point. He gave us an almost empty bottle of spray that kills viruses and smells. Informed us someone from pest control would be spraying the room once we left. -Bedding only came with sheets, no comforter. I was always itchy the next day with multiple bumps on my body. -We were ONLY compensated a $112 cleaning fee for ALL of these issues. I don't understand this logic because a smoking cleaning fee is $500 plus you pay a resort fee when booking. After paying good money for our condo and staying at Sundestin for 3 years in a row, this was very disappointing to me. In addition to paying almost $250 for 1 umbrella and 2 beach chairs for a week that get taken at 5:00 (also not guaranteed front row seating, you need to book in advance online. I only found this out from researching online).

Four February days at Sundestin Resort

Our 507 Rental was clean and comfortable for two or for family with one or two small children. We loved the view of the ocean from the balcony. Beautiful white sand, and emerald waves of water. Enjoyed watching 7 dolphins close to shore. We could see both sunrise and sunset from our balcony. Early February rental means small crowds on beach, restaurants, and boardwalk. We like it that way. We would rent this unit again. Staff at Sundestin were courteous, kind, helpful. Checkin was super easy and quick on first Wednesday of the month.

Stay with Vacasa

The stay was horrible, the living area had a great view if you stood up. The chairs on the porch was low. Loved the setup but there were roaches in the kitchen cabinets, so the place needs to be sprayed. Also the main bedroom is very small with limited closet space and The Bed was HORRIBLE....It sinks in and my back is still hurting from trying to sleep. We left our vacation a day early due to not being satisfied and I myself was in alot of pain. My back is still hurting from trying to sleep in that bed. We spent alot of money to stay there and we really need to be refunded for at least the day we left early. It was not far to us at all that for the money we paid it wasn't what we expected. The bedroom floor also hadn't been swept at all there was sand everywhere. I was hurting so bad I didn't even get to take a trip to the beach because we left a day early. Please do some cleaning and spraying and change that bed. We hope that you would be so kindly to refund us for the day that we didn't stay. Word to the wise before paying money for a beautiful get away, PLEASE, PLEASE ask questions and check things out. No one has money to give away and not enjoy your stay. My back is really bad but over all the rode didn't cost to much in gas...

Home away from home.

Our first time to Destin, and with this resort. We will definitely be back. The resort and staff were amazing. Let alone the beach, the best beach we have been too!! The room was amazing, with a great view. Had everything we could have asked for. Will definitely be back!!
