Inside, the cozy yet spacious layout makes it easy to relax. You’ll find a fully equipped kitchen, a warm and inviting living area with a fireplace, smart TV, and premium sound system - all designed to help you feel right at home. Floor-to-ceiling windows showcase sweeping mountain views, and the private deck and hot tub offer a front-row seat to nature - complete with occasional moose and bear sightings!

You’re close enough to walk to scenic trails, the Breckenridge Nordic Center, and the shops and dining in the village, yet far enough from the buzz of downtown to enjoy peaceful mountain evenings. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Perfect location, quality furnishings, and a hot tub!

American Way Chalet was just a few miles from all things Breck. Easy drive or Uber into town or to the slopes. The home had a great layout, nice furniture & finishes, and a hot tub!

Breck trip in March

Overall the property was amazing, got to see a beautiful Fox while sitting in hottub! It was very clean and comfortable cabin. Location to peak 7 was amazing and only 10 min Uber ride into town.

Wonderful cabin in woods

Layout of home. Great location. Walking to trails or village but far enough away to be quiet. Saw moose and bear. Kitchen clean and nicely stocked. Beds were comfortable.

Great property!

This is an amazing property in a less-traveled part of Breckenridge. Perfect for a family of 4 or 5. Wyndham (the current management company) isn't exactly at the top of their game, but I guess you sort of have to lower your expectations on hospitality when you deal with very young, seasonal employees behind the front desk. This didn't take away from our stay at all, though! Highly recommend. Only thing I would change is to allow the volume on the TV to go a little higher. It was "locked" for guests to avoid damage to the system, which makes sense, but it's a little low. We couldn't watch TV and have the fireplace going at the same time because the fan would drown out the sound.

Breckenridge Ski Trip

Pathway to hot tub and front door not fully cleared of snow and there was no shovel to be found. We had to use a plastic saucer shovel to attempt to clear out at least 2 feet of snow. We alerted the property mngmt team and did not receive a resolution. Purchased burgers in town to grill but when we cleared more snow to use the grill, there was no propane in the grill. There was absolutely ZERO access for us to utilize the garbage shed. It was completely blocked from the snow, even after we tried to clear it with the plastic saucer shovel. After reading other reviews, I’m glad we didn’t get access because it was most likely filled with other renters trash. We had no choice but to leave our garbage bags just outside of the garbage shed. Our second morning of the trip, the hot water to the downstairs shower was not working. There was clearly an issue with the diverter valve because hot water worked throughout the house and no one else had showered yet. We contacted the property mngr a few times to let them know and continued to receive generic questions asking us to check the rest of the faucets and hot water tank (we communicated that was not the issue multiple times). They said they’d contact the local team. I never heard back but at the end of the day when we came back from skiing there was a note on the counter from someone that entered the house and checked the shower. Would’ve been nice to know someone was entering the house while we were out for the day.

Cute place with potential but needing work

This is a very cute cabin within several miles of peak 8 and has a lot of potential but we overall were not happy due to several reasons. First, the hot tub that was advertised didn't work the entire time we were there. We arrived on a Friday and were told someone would try to come fix on Saturday. I think someone finally came Tuesday as jets seemed to work but freezing cold so never did get to use it. Second, this cabin needs a deep clean. There was hair in the bathtubs, the first floor bathtub didn't drain well, the bedding (blankets and comforters) were stained, and the ice machine in the fridge/freezer didn't work. The heating element on the stove (left front and back burners) not working well and the rugs were filthy. There was a small hard wood floor vacuum that I found in the laundry room as wanted to vacuum but it didn't work well either. When we first arrived, there were crushed chips under the dining table and master bathroom white rug was coated in dirt. This was a very cute property but in serious need of deep cleaning. I have a feeling this may be due to property management involved as I wouldn't think owner would let it get like this. We have always had great succcess with VRBO properties but think this is first time we have had to deal with property management and not owner directly so that may be issue. If the above things were fixed I would definitely recommend as the location and price were right.

Amazing Place!

Cozy with beautiful views!

The home was warm and was clean. My family of 6 slept comfortably, we loved the views driving up the mountain to the home. Got to see a couple of moose around the area. Loved it all!

Great Place

This is a really cute place, exactly as described. We stayed with our kids ages 5 and 6, and easily could have shared with another family of 4. Everything was clean and the location was perfect, just a short drive to town. We would stay again.

House was cute but management/owners nonresponsive

The house had a great location and amazing view, but trying to get an answer from the owners was non-existent. We tried getting early Checkin and late check out and had vacasa read us a script and denial saying “communicated through email” every time we contacted them(house was not occupied day before Checkin or days after checkout, we checked availability calendar right before. I wasn’t trying to get it free either, I asked to pay but they couldn’t give me a reason why except that line about communicated through email every time. When we got their the hot tub top was broken and there was some other issues at our 4 o’clock Checkin(which we took pics and have time stamps of). We called at 4:05 to report the problem and they were suppose to have maintenance call us back, which they never did on our entire trip. They provided small toiletries which was fine, but the main bathroom downstairs had half a roll on and only 1 spare. This was for a 3 day stay and multiple people. Also no paper towels or dish clothes were present either, so we had to buy them from the store ourselves. We had a problem with the digital stove not working when we did decided to cook that first night, but of course Vacasa had us on hold for so long that we were able to google the problem and unplug reset it ourselves. Trash day was apparently Monday because we saw the trash truck come by and the shed were our garbage area was located was still full from idk when, so we barely had room to take the garbage out. I’ve used VRBO and VACASA directly and have never felt like customer service was like this before.

Highly recommend

We absolutely loved this cabin! We have 5 children and we was completely comfortable. It was stocked with seasonings, all the kitchen utensils you’ll need to cook, even had soaps for laundry and products to clean with. We plan to come back very soon!

The best spot!

We booked this home for a quick family vacation and could not be happier! This quaint cabin looks small from the outside but it is spacious, cozy and comfortable. We LOVED the steam shower, hot tub and indoor jetted tub. The kitchen was well equipped and spacious and it was so nice to have a grill also. The house is also equipped with a great sound system and smart TV. It was impeccably clean! We had one issue with the hot tub and they fixed it almost immediately. We’ll definitely be back!

Quaint cabin near Breckingridge

Property was just as advertised and was close to town. It was perfect for our family of five to able to cook, eat, and socialize in the dining and living areas.

Great Mountain House!

Life's full of little surprises

Let me start off by saying that this little house is super cute and comfy and great for a single person, a couple or even a couple of families. Imagine...it's Friday night. You have just enjoyed a delicious dinner down on Main St and are back at the American Way cabin. You go out and enjoy a nice soak in the super clean and hot hot-tub. You are getting ready to call it a night when you drop your night shirt on the floor in the main bedroom. You bend down to pick it up and notice a broken hanger under the bed. You bend down further to grab it out from under the bed and notice a couple of Q-tips and some black feathers under there as well. 8-o The next morning, you get up and find your honey curled up on the couch. You go out to snuggle them, wrapping yourself up in the blanket that covers them. It is about 8 am on a Saturday. You look outside with your sleepy eyes and see what appears to be two men walking into the backyard from the front. After rubbing your eyes you look again and sure as all get out, there are two men opening the hot tub. Now it needs to be noted here that there are not blinds or curtains on any of the living or dining room windows. After about 20 minutes, the men leave. Later that morning, dinner from the night before has been digested. You go to the bathroom to your business and find that you have ran out of toilet paper. After looking in the toilet paper holder, under the bathroom sink, and in each drawer in the bathroom, you find that there is no TP to be found. (It is during a pandemic and all, those TP hoarders!) I digress. You yell to your partner, who luckily is within ear shot, and ask them to see if there is extra TP in the upstairs bathroom...there was...YES!!! It is now Saturday night and you are making dinner with your partner in the very nice and cozy kitchen. You get in one of the drawers looking for a knife to cut your chicken with and SUCCESS, you find one. As you are about to slice into your juicy chicken breast you notice something dark on blade near the handle of the knife. Looking closely you see that it is some caked on food from who knows when. Ok, one dirty knife is no big deal, things happen. So, you go in looking for yet another knife to use and find 2 more with a similar substance hanging out on the blade. Ok, more than 1 dirty knife is a little much, wouldn't you say?! Yes, yes, we found a clean knife and ended up enjoying our dinner. No growling bellies that night! Mold on shower curtain next a.m.

Nice stay-except

Everything was as expected except for a few inconvenient details. The fact that housekeeping hadn’t removed trash from the previous guests. It was still sitting bagged up in the entryway. There was also hair and trash in one of the small bedroom trashcans. I think it would have been great if everything had been removed however the fact that the trash was still there made me wonder what else wasn’t cleaned. I wondered if the sheets were changed. A little disconcerting. There was no visible house number so when we arrived late at night it took a long time to try and decide if this was the right house or not based on location as it was a bit remote. Also, there should have been a guide in the house explaining how to navigate the entertainment system. With 4 remote controls and no instructions we had no idea how to find out if they even had a smart tv for Netflix etc. one remote had a caavo button on it, I assume it’s some sort of component but we could not get it to function with the remote. Zero instructions or explanation, and no instructions on how to get the hot tub lid unlocked, no combination for for it. The hot tub had a few broken jet adjustable controls so only one side of the hot tub was functional and still no instructions for how to operate it. We had to call the front office for several of these types of things when it would have been much more convenient to just have a guide book like most Airbnb’s or vacation rentals. It wasn’t an unpleasant stay, just a bit inconvenient. I wish management would have been more thoughtful especially after how much we paid for a 1 night stay.

Nice house!

The house was VERY clean and a cute style. The kitchen was well equipped, it even had a slow cooker! The furniture was old and worn, but the beds were decent. The outdoor fireplace and Hot Tub were Great! No beach towels, and we didn't know what to do with the trash...I would stay here again. The road getting to house house was not well lit, and we came in at night - so it was a little hard to find, without a 4X4 the road might be hard to climb. Main Street Breckenridge was only about a 10 minute drive!
