The Nandina cottage is a comfortable mini-home, simply perfect as a base while in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. The Nandina offers an open floor plan with a king size bed, comfortable den, full kitchen, dining area, laundry room with washer-dryer (for long term stays), enclosed air conditioned sun room with a full sized futon for 1 or 2 extra friends, and best of all your own cedar-stay fenced courtyard with private hot tub, BBQ grill (charcoal), chimenea, and outdoor seating! You will enjoy all the comforts of home, and then some! Guests enjoy a wall-mounted 42″ plasma TV with ROKU streaming, and a lovely bath with a Tuscan-style tile shower. There is also seating on the front porch to enjoy the lovely landscaping.

The Willows is a unique property where each house can be rented individually or as a whole to hold family reunions and small retreats. While we welcome large groups, this is not a 'party' house and our house rules on noise and conduct will be enforced.

COVID-19 Update: Our property manager and housekeeper have completed the CareAcademy certification for their course titled "COVID-19: A Guide for Direct Care Workers". As this pandemic continues we will continue to become more educated to ensure the safety of our team and our guests.

Was a nice getaway.

We chose this place for the hot tub and sunroom. Both were great. Location was perfect, away from downtown. Close enough we could get coffee in the morning. Found a very good place to eat, Hill and Vine was excellent for dinner.

Great stay!!!

The house was even better than described! The bed was so comfortable. The cleanliness was perfect. The robes were awesome. 🤩 We’d definitely stay again AND the hosts provided complimentary wine—HUGE plus and I was very thankful! ☺️

It was ok

Stay was ok. The town is wonderful. We had a big storm the last night there was extreme winds and accidently left hot tub top off. The owner was very rude about several things.

Romantic Spring break getaway

This house was perfect for our anniversary vacation! The place was very clean, the hot tub was clean and hot when we arrived and there was a bottle of red and white wine waiting for us when we arrived. Also, there was soft guitar music playing when we walked in, such a small thing, but it set the atmosphere of our trip right away. We will definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay!

This property was perfect for my boyfriend and I to stay the weekend! We had everything we needed, and was left a couple of bottles of wine for us when we arrived which we appreciated! Definitely would stay again!

We love the Hill Country because of its rolling, rugged limestone hills filled with caves, caverns, lazy rivers and dotted with small towns of times past filled with local art and history. Recently the New York Times called the Texas Hill Country the #1 vacation spot in the nation and Wine Enthusiast magazine listed it as the second most visited wine region in the United States next to Napa Valley.

Fredericksburg, situated in the center of the Hill Country, is known for its unique blend of German and Mexican heritage, ranchers, galleries, Harleys, and outdoor bistros. Today’s Fredericksburg retains its German roots but is all Texas in its approach to the laid-back good life. Fredericksburg is a small town with a soft layer of sophistication at the crossroads of peach orchards, vineyards, wildflower trails and longhorn herds.

The Willows is a peaceful compound with 4 separate rentals spaces: Casa Grande, Nandina House, Sonora Cottage, and The Sundown Suite. The property is located just four short blocks from Main Street but feels like it is in the country!

And it is only a few blocks from Main Street’s wine tasting rooms, breweries, shops and restaurants. Our peaceful country compound of unique rentals is connected by pink granite paths with private entries. The Willows is also perfect for weddings, girls/guys weekends, family reunions and corporate retreats.
