Things to Know
This is a non-smoking vacation rental, which applies both inside the home and on the balcony. (There is a dedicated smoking area in the parking lot.) This policy is strictly enforced.
The hot tub will be closed until further notice.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Comfortable condo with a great view

The best asset of Windemere 1404 is the fabulous view from the balcony and wall of huge windows. It is a very large one bedroom condo with plenty of space to spread out. I also love that it is away from the hustle and bustle of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. I would most definitely consider renting this condo again.

nice condo on the beach

it is a nice condo except several things needed to improve…. The icemaker is broken and no ice cube trays are provided . Very thin sheeting and very thin blanket on the bed….. nowhere is there any additional blankets that can be used on the bed - eventually stole a thin blanket off of the twin bed . Good parking lot, easy to manage door lock. Nice access to the beach. No drinking glasses were provided except juice size. No spices, salt.pepper in condo so be prepared to bring some. As well as bringing in your ice. overall, a nice place however

Great view

The view from the living area and balcony at this property are great! The place was as described and has good “bones” but could be so much better with minimal investment. It was clean enough but as another reviewer said, it looks like caulk was simply put over mold lines in the shower and the curtain liner is yellowed and needs to be changed. Other small touches that would yield a more comfortable stay include stocking the kitchen better. There were only a few juice glasses and coffee mugs as well as a few small wine glasses. I will say the knife I used was nice and sharp. New living room furniture is needed and dining chairs need to be inspected and tightened.There seem to be some outlets that don’t work and at least one lamp that needs a light bulb I believe. Parking is convenient and beach access close and easy. Overall, this was a good place to stay on a relatively small budget.

Amazing Views!!!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay! Everything was super clean, bed was comfy, balcony view was absolutely perfect! I loved that the room came with its very own parking spot so no circling around trying to find somewhere to park. The parking spot is also right next to the elevator for easy access and the elevator comes right up to the room. Location of everything is so convenient with this place!

Simple and sweet nice view!

I enjoyed my short one day vacation. Nice hot tub and great beach access. The room had a beautiful view! Only thing I didn't love was the fact that there's not anyone there working. That's never addressed beforehand so I was taken aback by that, otherwise great stay!

Much Needed Vacay

Windemere did not disappoint in relation to our expectation of our room, amentities, cleanliness, parking, easy access to the beach, nice pool, and friendly people. We did get to enjoy two days on the beach (unfortunately for us there was rain and storms 3-4 days). We would choose to stay at Windemere again.

Great condo with a beautiful view!

We had a wonderful, relaxing vacation at this condo. It’s beautifully decorated and comfortable. The view is amazing! We were sent all the arrival info prior to arriving and it was easy. The parking spot is close to the elevators which is convenient. The only problem we had was with the tv in the master bedroom wouldn't work. The living room tv and WiFi worked great. We love the location! We have already recommended this condo to family members and we will likely stay here again.

Great view and location. Condo was ok.

Upon arrival, the condo seemed pretty clean and well put together. Shortly after, we realized it was not cleaned very well. Maybe the cleaning folks didn't have enough time to get everything done, I'm not sure. We walked in and it smelled like someone had smoked weed and used some spray to cover up the smell. The location is fantastic and so is the view! The beds slept well. The fridge was nice and cold when we got there. There's mold under the vent above the bunk beds. The vent in the main bath barely works. The stopper in the main bathroom sink is broken. The tub looks like the caulk was only there to cover the mold that grew. The dryer has a messed up belt or something because it squeals VERY loudly and it takes a long time to dry anything. There is only one small skillet BUT there were plenty of pans, utensils, plates, bowls, cups, etc. The wifi was extremely buggy the first two days but we eventually figured it out. (If it gives you issues, Do Not call anyone because they are of NO help. Unplug everything from both boxes, then plug it all back in and it should start working properly.) The living room TV wouldn't work for a couple days either. Apparently HDMI1 is busted. The freezer drips into the fridge creating a huge puddle on the top shelf. We just put one of the bowls provided underneath the hole so it dripped into it and that worked fine. Stove and oven both cook high so be careful you don't burn your food if you cook. Not enough wash rags were provided and yes we washed them every day. The coffee maker is really old but works fine. There were no clear instructions on who to call when an issue came up. We contacted Vacasa and they were not helpful at all. In fact, we called them regarding the wifi and TV and they said they'd provide me with an update at some point. They did not. Instead, they showed up to our condo without any notice whatsoever to fix the issue. Luckily we had just gotten back from the beach. The elevator isn't that difficult to figure out. You press the main button and then press the other number fast 3 times. The recycled toys and beach gear right before the walkway was awesome when we forgot something! The parking situation was not monitored and people parked in our spot on our second day there until we left so we had to park elsewhere and of course there was no one to inform of this! It was a minor inconvenience but I'd hate to have that happen in the middle of summer when the place is packed. Lots of ppl smoking.

The view from the Balcony of this Condo is AMAZING!!! We loved being able to sit on the balcony and enjoy the breeze and listening the sounds of the ocean. We had beautiful weather and being able to enjoy the view made this condo worth while. The Condo is Nice and in a great location, but definitely needs updates in the bathrooms, new paint and just all together a face lift. It's not bad, but it's just outdated.

Tired and Ill supplied

Only 4 table forks, only an 8" skillet, balcony chairs are deteriorated, no pot holders, no coasters or place mats to protect the wooden tables. The carpet is spotted and thread bare. Unit has the scarcest kitchen utensil collection I've seen in 40+ years renting on the panhandle. Unit was very clean and we were supplied with many, many bath towels.
