We had a wonderful stay at this Brant Lake house! The home was exceptionally clean, spacious, and comfortable, with plenty of room for our entire family. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and having a washer and dryer made our stay so much more convenient. The house is located in one of the best neighborhoods on Brant Lake, with a great beach and welcoming, friendly neighbors. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy time together as a family. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return!

This is a great house and was well laid out for our family stay with 4 spacious bedrooms and 2 full baths. It was in a wonderful location for us as it is walking distance to Jimbo's where we all attended a wedding and close enough for our stay afterward to visit Lake Saranac, Lake George and Lake Placid.

Little information available about trash or recycling. No information about anything in the house. Difficult check-in, wifi set up ect. The refrigerator leaks severely. Informed host, who didn't feel it was an issue. Dryer doesn't dry clothes, after some investigation I found that the vent is clogged, requiring more maintenance than I could provide. The house was clean, but smelled terrible due to leak and trash issues. The house is beautiful, however due to lack of upkeep it is not an easy stay. The location is lovely, and with a few simple fixes this would be an amazing VRBO!

Great location and plenty of space! We had one issue right when we checked in, but the host was very responsive and resolved it fully and quickly.

Cute!

Cute stay, conveniently located to the lake. Nice fire pit and wood provided which was cool. Missing some basic amenities to make the stay more comfortable but thinking those will come with time.

Family Vacation

House space was very nice for all 8 of us. No AC so the 90 degree weather was a bit hard to adjust to, Ceiling fan in main living space was broken and no ceiling fan in one bedroom. The kitchen pots and pans were not adequate for cooking. We enjoyed the lake and the people in the area were very nice to talk with. We enjoyed ourselves.

The home is very spacious with sheets and towels a-plenty in this 4 bed, 2 full bath home. There was a washer / dryer that came in handy and we appreciated the window AC units as the temps can spike at times. The fan in living room wasn't working but the AC helped to circulate the air in that room. Questions were answered very timely as well from the owner's rep.Set in a very quiet development it was a relaxing time away. We enjoyed the short walk to a very sunny, sandy beach that did allow pets (before 9am or after 7pm).The only room for improvement is the kitchen set up as it needs more pots/pans to better cook meals.Also loved that we were 20 mins from Lake George.

Quiet retreat

The cabin is large enough to accommodate a large family. Two full bathrooms, big game room and dining table. No lake access from the property, nor near the property. Not sure where the public beach is, except in town. The biggest issue was the heating. We couldn't adjust the programmed thermostat above 65. The time we spent there was a very cold weekend. So, heat was required. So, plan to have a blanket.

Property Not Quite Guest Ready

When we arrived, the house wasn’t clean. The floors were dirty and the plates and utensils were put away with food still on them. My daughter found candy wrappers in the dresser drawers, and she had to shake off her dresser scarf because it was covered in crumbs.The house was missing basic comfort necessities: the ceiling fan in the living room did not work, and screens were missing from the dining room window, the downstairs bedroom, and the rec room, making it impossible to open those windows. Although the ad for the rental said there was a hair dryer, I could not find one anywhere. The vent fan in the upstairs bathroom did not work, and the room smelled strongly of sewer gas, so much so that my children refused to use it.The kitchen did not include basic necessities such as a can opener, a decent-sized frying pan, measuring cups, and hot pads. The few pots and baking sheets that were there were in rough shape. We were hard pressed to find enough mugs to have coffee, and there were only four dining plates that were microwave safe. I ended up going to Walmart to buy basic necessities so that my family and I could eat.I was also quite surprised to get a text at 8:10 on Tuesday morning telling me that the propane tanks were going to be filled and that the property manager might need to get in the house. After reviewing your feedback we followed up with the homeowner and they wanted to share the following context:-In rural areas like this, homes often use propane, which is refilled by the utility company. A technician may briefly enter the home to safely reignite the system, and while the timing is determined by the provider, it's essential for continued service.-The bathroom vent fan did stop functioning during your stay, and we understand how that may have been an inconvenience. Please know it has since been fully replaced to ensure future guests have a more comfortable experience.-The window screens, which had been stored in the utility room, have now been reinstalled. Additionally, the home is equipped with air conditioning for guest comfort.-Regarding the kitchen items, the home offers a selection of essential cookware and utensils in line with what’s shown in the listing.-We regret that a hairdryer was not available during your stay, as it is a standard amenity we aim to provide. A replacement has since been added to the home to better meet guest expectations moving forward.-As a gesture of goodwill, a partial refund was issued to help make up for any inconvenience you experienced during your stay.Thank you for sharing your feedback about your stay!
