Thank you for the 5-star rating! We’re so glad your group had an amazing stay. Thank you for sharing you had trouble with the fireplace — it does work but using it requires careful following of the instructions we have posted in the home. We'll take a look at it again and make sure our instructions still hold true for operation. Happy to hear you felt the cottage was immaculate, spacious, and cozy, those are all great compliments. And we're so glad you caught sight of the local elk herd! We’d be happy to host you again — come back soon!

We're sorry to see this one-star review. We sincerely apologize your stay fell short of expectations. Thank you for calling out the bathroom error — the listing has been corrected to 2.5 baths. We're sincerely sorry the maintenance team's visit didn’t fully resolve the toilet running or get the fireplace working. We are going to replace the toilet altogether and the fireplace does work, vendors have recently confirmed that for us. We have instructions printed out in the home so that guests know how to use it. We will speak to the maintenance team about directing guests to the instructions if ever they are called out for this issue again. Regarding the puddle on the path after the very heavy rain - we’re assessing drainage and mitigation options to prevent that from happening in the future. We also regret that our communication after your stay felt inadequate. Refunds are handled case-by-case based on the nature and duration of issues. Thank you for the helpful feedback, we will take this opportunity to improve!

Thank you for the 5-star review! We're glad you loved the house and that the location was perfect for your family. Thanks for letting us know of your concern about the upstairs bathroom — we'll have our maintenance team make a plan for future improvements. We appreciate you choosing Meredith Lodging and hope to host you again.
