Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend this home to friends or family. The location and house have potential, but there were too many issues with cleanliness, maintenance, and basic supplies. One bed had sheets that were visibly dirty with what appeared to be food, while another had mildew-like staining. The bottom bunk mattress and pillows smelled unpleasant, the bedspread felt oily, and there were significant cobwebs throughout, including under the beds where we found a previous guest’s hat. There was also black mold/mildew in the shower. The showerhead was broken and wouldn’t stay up, so we tied it in place with floss. Several management-company-labeled soaps and cleaning products were empty. We initially had one dish towel and no sponge. The knives were extremely dull, one with a chunk missing, and there were only two wine glasses. The listing photos also appear outdated. Kitchen storage shown in the photos is gone. More importantly, when we booked, the listing showed a wood-burning stove/fireplace, which was part of why I chose this home. It had been removed, with a panel covering the chimney opening, and that photo is no longer in the listing.Management did bring clean sheets, soap, and two more towels after we contacted them, which we appreciated. However, it took several messages. With better cleaning, maintenance, and attention to basic supplies, this could be a great property.
