The Space:
Summer Place is a smaller, quieter Gulf-front complex — 53 units total, which means you'll never feel like you're navigating a resort convention. The pool area is calm. The beach is uncrowded. The vibe is relaxed. If you've stayed at the bigger resort complexes nearby and found them a little overwhelming, this is the antidote.
Being on the 2nd floor has its perks — you're close to the pool, close to the beach, and there's no long elevator wait when you're hauling in groceries or beach gear. The balcony view is wide open Gulf, and the building's layout means nothing is obstructing it.
Getting Around:
You're on Okaloosa Island — a barrier island in Fort Walton Beach that sits between Destin and Pensacola. The Boardwalk is a short walk away, with waterfront dining, entertainment, and a fishing pier. Downtown Fort Walton Beach is just minutes across the bridge. Destin's HarborWalk and shopping are about 20 minutes east. Eglin Air Force Base and Hurlburt Field are nearby for our military guests.
