Excelent stay

Excellent accomodation in a very nice region and beautiful snady beaches. Location is central to trvalling accross all of crete. Will definately revisit.

Family vacation

Great for family or just want to have a quiet getaway. Maria is very responsive and it was a perfect spot for little kids. Beach across the street has a huge play ground.

Gorgeous property

We had a wonderful stay. Management was welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The property is beautiful, well maintained, with a gorgeous view. We loved sitting by the poolside at night and swimming during the day (close to beautiful beaches). We will be back and for longer!

Beautiful property

We had a wonderful stay at this property. Maria our host was in contact with us daily giving us recommendations of restaurants and places to visit, also helping us book a taxi one night. The Villa has beautiful views over the Aegean and the view of the sunset over the mountains is magical.

Beautiful villa, were visited twice in our 10 day stay by the cleaning team. Villas feel private even though you have neighbours - can’t fault them at all nice and modern with well appointed kitchen and comfortable beds and ice cold AC in every room. Check in process was very easy with Maria meeting us there as promised, and anything we asked was answered via WhatsApp even if it meant her going out of her way to research something. Amazing holiday thank you.

Newer property in average area. Pool not great.

Home is small but new. The heated pool really isn’t heated to any significant extent, as it only reaches 8 degrees (at the most) above the daily low temperature. Pool would only be warm in middle of summer.

Dear Graham, Thank you for posting your review. The time you visited Crete the average temperature during day time was 9 Celsius while in the night time around 2 Celsius. It is obvious that even with a heated outdoor pool it can not get 30 degrees so you can swim. We had sufficiently informed you prior booking our place that the max temperature we get during winter time is +8 Celsius from the environment temperature. We had a lovely week at Vista Mare Villa. The Villa was clean and contemporary and was the perfect size for the 3 of us. The pool was a lot of fun for my 10yr old and the views - sunset and sunrise were amazing from the West end Villa. There was no noise disturbance from the other villas.Negatives - no previous reviews mention the really busy road below the villa - A90, you can't see it but you can hear it - all the time, even weekends there is no let up. There was building work going on in the villa directly below us that was very frustrating with noise and dust - even 0600hrs on a Saturday! This included large cranes and cement trucks. The other annoyance was my surprise encounter with the pool man while I was half naked having just woken at 0600 hrs on our private back terrace - he popped up out of the pool cubby hole in the ground - making me jump with fright. We should have been warned of the maintenance and an organised time for it to be done. You definitely need a car to get around if you can brave the Greek drivers!

Insgesamt hatten wir eine tolle Woche in der Vista Mare Villa. Das Einchecken war problemlos.Auch im Oktober konnten wir den Außenbereich gut nutzen – Highlight der Kinder war natürlich der beheizte Pool. Für uns war die tolle Aussicht auf einerseits das Meer, andererseits die Berge, unschlagbar. Ein großes Plus sind außerdem die an jedem Fenster und jeder Tür angebrachten Fliegengitter und die Außenjalousien. Mit dem Auto ist man schnell im nächsten Supermarkt, Restaurant oder am Strand.Was fehlte war mehr Abstellplatz für die Koffer und Einlegeböden im Schrank. Die Ausstattung der Küche ist sicherlich noch ausbaufähig. Die Bäder sind zweckmäßig.

Sehr schönes Anwesen - v.a. die Terrasse mit Pool und fantastischem Ausblick. Etwas getrübt wurde die Freude durch eine ausgesprochen dürftige Küchenausstattung und einen defekten Geschirrspüler. Unsere entsprechenden Hinweise - v.a. auf die nötige Reparatur des Geschirrspülers - wurden völlig entspannt ignoriert.

Haus und Umgebungsbeschreibung

Das Haus ist sehr schön und optimal ausgestattet. Unsere Betreuerin Maria war einfach toll und hat uns einige tolle Ausflugstips gegeben. Das einzig negative ist das zirka 200 Meter vom Haus eine Schnellstraße vorbeiführt.

Wir wurden vor Ort ganz hervorragend in allen Belangen von unserer Ansprechpartnerin Maria betreut. Die Einweisung war ausführlich, alle Fragen konnten geklärt werden. Maria war zu jeder Zeit erreichbar und konnte alle Anfragen immer zu unserer vollsten Zufriedenheit klären. Zudem gab sie Tipps zu Ausflügen, die wir gern genutzt haben. Im Haus waren wir ebenfalls sehr zufrieden. Um den Komfort noch etwas zu steigern, könnten einige Haken als Garderobe in den Zimmer angebracht werden. Auch wären zusätzliche Ablageflächen in den Bädern sowie den Kleiderschränken hilfreich. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und bedanken uns für einen schönen Urlaub! Ein besonderer Dank nochmals an Maria. Beautiful villas with sea view.

We really enjoyed staying at Vista Mare. The sea view, sunset and sunrise are all stunning. The villas are very modern and comfortable. It’s best if one has a car, as there’s a short 6-7min drive to a couple of nice beaches.

Tolles Haus an schönem Strand
