Romantic Getaway for 2; Steps from the Ocean in the Moody Beach area

Steps from the ocean, listening to the surf at night. Getaway includes 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, a full kitchen, open concept living room and kitchen table. An outdoor deck provides a small window to the ocean and an outdoor living space. Parking is available for two cars. The area is wonderful to enjoy. While you venture out, take a trip to Condon's for brunch and Mimosas, or enjoy a nice lunch at Billy's Chowder House overlooking the beautiful tidal river. Have a relaxing dinner at Verano's restaurant or skip down to Ogunquit and go all out. The Marginal Way is a beautiful spot to take someone special for a quiet walk overlooking the rocky Maine coast, and take a seat and reflect on life and how much simpler it could be for at least a few days. I hope you love the place as much as I love it, as this will be my forever home.

What a great place!The apartment was located in walking distance to our favorite beach and it had all the amenities we needed for a really comfortable stay. We appreciated the spaciousness of the living space, firm bedroom mattress and AC, terrific shower, well equipped kitchen and large deck. We will definitely be back!

Communication with the host was quick and easy. On arrival the place was clean, immaculate and well maintained. A short walk to the beach, and other close by beaches. Offering a quiet neighborhood, was great to enjoy early morning or late day walks. The deck was lovely to sit and have your favorite beverage with the sound of the ocean. Not to mention to catch the early sun rising. Peaceful place to the perfect beach getaway for two!

Fantastic location - calm and quiet, and an even shorter walk to the beach than we were expecting. The rental was spotless when we arrived and self check-in was easy. It was the perfect spot for a quick couple’s getaway to the Wells/Ogunquit area.

We enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean and beautifully decorated. It was not on the beach as we had assumed, which was a disappointment. But it was just a short walk away. It was very quiet and peaceful.

Disappointing

We were really disappointed to find a very major construction project going on right next door… there was a crew working daily with cranes and bobcats, and generators were going 24/7 to support sump pumps. Needless to say, we didn’t use the deck (which overlooks the whole mess) nor did we want windows or shades open.

Appartement spacieux pour un couple, équipé de tout le nécessaire. Tout était très propre et l'hôte répondait rapidement aux messages. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour et la proximité du logement avec toutes les activités!

Quiet and clean

A lovely one bedroom down a quiet lane. Nice outdoor seating area to enjoy sounds of the beach. Clean and comfy. The AC was cold; a big deal for us southerners in the summer. Would come back again and again.

Perfect place to relax

I rented this quaint apartment for my parents so they can come and spend the week with us in Moody Beach. it was perfect: clean, open concept floor plan, and a great location. The only downfall was the lack of A/C in the whole apt - the listing says there is A/C but it was only in the bedroom and despite all efforts to air the place down, it was SO HOT a few days which was not great for my mother with a heart condition. This said, we loved the apt and would recommend it to anyone who doesn't need a very cool place to be!

Great spot, so nice when u get what the host promised it was worth every penny so if u get a chance u won't be disappointed. Short walk to beach and the food was outstanding try the Fisherman's Catch if u love fried seafood.

Perfectly Comfy

The place was light, bright and clean with all the conveniences of home. Our host was very responsive and it was obvious that he actively manages the property. There is something about the second level that makes it seem you are away from it all. The ocean is visible from one window at a distance and the sound of it was easily heard. In warmer weather I imagine the large east facing deck would be very pleasant. Our temps were 30-40s. We walked the gorgeous beach (you’ll have to start at the public opening, which is not too far from the beach house.) We also enjoyed the beauty of the tidal river and marsh side.. The jetty walk was worth the short drive (northernmost point of island). There are quite a few antique places in Wells with pretty good prices. It is conveniently located near many restaurants right in Wells but also Ogunquit. It was a great way to experience “winter” Maine.

I loved this cottage

I came in winter to surf and think about physics. The surroundings were peaceful and beautiful. I recommend this place.

Birthday for my husband

This property was absolutely beautiful, it must be an amazing place in the summer as the location is perfect. The unit was spotless, and the neighborhood was spectacular. I would definitely come back here again, hopefully Midsummer when I can utilize the beaches.

Quiet getaway

Very clean and tidy, it worked perfectly for my wife and I. Close to the beach and off any main roads so very quiet. The area has lots of restaurants with freshly caught seafood and other types of food along with just a short drive to outlet stores for shopping. 5 out of 5
