Spectacular view!Clean units. Great central location so easy to get around Kona. Be sure to read the contract carefully since guests are required to do more cleaning tasks than anticipated: wash *and put away* clean towels and dishes prior to check out.

We do not allow dirty dishes to be left in the sink. They can be rinsed and put in the dishwasher. The contract states previous nights and departure day towels can be left for cleaners. Same with linens. We do not want every towel used and none washed as there would not be enough time to clean everything in the time allotted. All our units have a washer/dryer for the guests convenience. I will check the wording as it may be a bit confusing. Aloha, MGMT.

It’s all about the lanai!

Beautiful sunsets

Lovely sunset views off the balcony. Convenient bar/restaurant and pool location. Very comfortable bed- a huge plus in my opinion. this place is a winner and I would definitely book again.

Wonderful place!

The main living room was even larger than expected. Everything was wonderful especially the view of the ocean from the expansive covered balconies. We will recommend to friends and family! You will LOVE this place!

Ocean view and more

Coffee on the patio with a beautiful view of the ocean. There was beach chairs and towels. Great location with KTA store across the street. We loved our experience at this condo.

Amazing stay!

We will come here again, again and again. This place had so many positivities - amazing view, huge lanai, adequately stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, and very clean! We enjoyed the pool, the gym, and we even got to watch a children’s luau right off our lanai on our first evening there. We will definitely come again!

Kona Coast Penthouse

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented the penthouse at the Kona Coast Resort in September for 12 days. The location is unreal as it overlooks the golf course with a view of the ocean. The sunsets at night were simply amazing!The units were very well equipped with everything we needed! The only suggestion might be to install ceiling fans on the lanai as it can get very hot when the sun shines in!The owner and property manager were great! They communicated frequently before our arrival and were available to us for whatever we needed.Access to the pool was easy and it was nice to have the restaurant on site as well.Mahalo! We will be back!

Can not say enough about this property. Everything about it was amazing. The view, the staff, the grounds. We were here during a big storm and we had all the things we needed. There is a restaurant on site by the pool and the unit was well stocked with everything we needed for cooking in. I really wish we had had better weather but we still really enjoyed our stay. We’ll just have to come back again I guess!

Super close to beaches and shopping. AC worked awesome for the hot days! Our kids loved the pool time so much! Will be back!

Great neighborhood

When I was considering this property, before committing, I was totally focused on the room amenities - all of which were great. I missed several key features which added to our stay:- On-site restaurant serving breakfast, lunch & dinner. Live music several nights.- A shopping center within a 10 minute walk, including grocery and several restaurants.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Incredible units at an excellent location

The units have a great ocean view. They are wonderful and modern with great amenities. The pool and hot tub are right downstairs and quite enjoyable. Do bring USB adapters with you as there are no modern outlets or places for charging items. We can’t recommend this place enough.

Kona Coast Penthouse

Our stay at this resort was amazing. It was perfect for our family vacation. It is two separate units with a huge shared lanai, providing privacy and ample space to relax together. The master bedroom had doors that opened to lanais on both sides, allowing cool night breezes to fill the room. The resort is well located with nice amenities. We enjoyed the restaurant at the pool for a quick bite. I would definitely stay here again.

Absolute heaven

We stayed with our two children. The two suites are married by a private entryway allowing the kids to be in one suite and you in another. The views of the sunsets are incredible you’re immediately adjacent to the pool which makes taking kids easy (and leaving them behind while you grab a cocktail and a swim). My favorite stay ever.

Wonderful views from the Lanai

Great location, steps from the pool. Really enjoyed having our meals on the lanai overlooking the golf course and ocean. Nice shopping center up the hill-about a 10 minute walk to restaurants, grocery store & shops. Condos were clean, beds comfortable & were as presented online. The AC wasn’t working in the smaller unit upon arrival, but resolved in a timely manner.

great spot

be aware there are stairs to navigate. No ceiling fan or other fan and can't turn ac down below 70 and it doesn't stay on what you set it over night anyway. Comfortable and clean but wouldn't stay in the heat of the summer.

Location is great - however, that's about all I can say that is positive. On day 2 the power was turned off by the electric co. for the owner having not paid the bill. Microwave didn't work. Blender didn't work. Property management said they would refund one nights accomodation - which they are now rebuking.

Upon hearing of the electric shut off the electric company was contacted right away, Guest arrived late evening. The electric company turned on the electric the following morning. Because of this inconvenience the guest was refunded a full night plus tax. Guest complained the microwave was not working. The facia of the microwave was coming off and we had it repaired the same day. We were not made aware of any blender problems. Both blender & microwave were working for guests just prior to this guests arrival. We make every effort to address any issues that arise as quickly as possible. This property is anything but a 2. Consistantly given a 5 star rating by all the other guests, it is one of our most popular and beautifully appointed properties. Just read the reviews. I am sorry that this individual had to sour the experience for future guests. Our guests enjoyment is of utmost importance to us. Respectfully submitted, Management

The AC on the smaller condos side didn't work very well and didn't stay as cool as the main side. We couldn't get any of the TVs to work.Would have liked to have the condos cleaner. It just seemed as though the cleaning crew might have done things a little quickly. Overall the view is perfect, the gal I worked with through property management was very sweet and polite. And the extras the condos supplied was a great touch. (Beach chairs, umbrellas, snorkel gear, towels )They did allow us to arrive early so we greatly appreciate that and the rating does reflect all of the positives.

Stunning views!

Overall our stay was wonderful. We had a couple small issues upon arriving but the response was immediate and issues resolve. Thank you Wayne! Such a great set up for our group. We were there with some friends. One couple in the smaller condo and my husband and I in the larger condo however we cooked, dined and spent our time together in the larger unit. We spent every morning and evening on the lanai looking over the pool, golf course and ocean. The view is amazing. We couldn’t believe how beautiful it was. The pictures don’t do it justice. Couldn’t ask for a better place! We hope to come again soon and have already recommended it to other friends and relatives!

Great location and views for the best nightly sunsets (and whales), huge lanai for all of us to relax on and enjoy meals and drinks, next to the pool/jacuzzi, restaurant/bar, and nightly soft live music playing. The restaurant was great for lunch and dinners when not wanting to venture out. The accommodations were clean and comfortable for us (2 couples). Monday nights there is a small hula show right below and we had the best view. The property management staff was very responsive and accommodating to a couple of our requests which fantastic. We are planning to stay here again next year and bringing family. It was an awesome, relaxing vacation and this place was great!

Another wonderful stay

This was our second visit to this comfortable and beautiful spot and I'm happy to say that it was just as wonderful as the first visit last fall. I think the lanai in this unit is one of the best outdoor spaces I've ever stayed at; large enough to enjoy with a group of friends, well designed with both sun and shade areas, very private (no units above, below, or adjoining) and boasting a lovely view across a gulf course to the ocean. The beds were quite comfortable, with squishy down pillows, the kitchens were well stocked, and the furnishings very adequate. The location is excellent with the town about a 15 minute drive and a beach within a very short drive. We enjoyed two great meals at Kenichi, a Japanese restaurant just up the hill at the Keahou shopping center. The condo is a "private unit" within the Kona Coast resort and while you have access to all the resort's offerings (pool, restaurant, etc.), checking in and out and maintenance are handled by the unit's owner, who made sure we received excellent info (directions, entry procedure, etc.) and was quick to respond to the two minor maintenance problems we encountered.

The best place to stay on the Big Island

This property is well-maintained and clean. It didn't have that "run-down" feel some properties can have. My husband and I were in the bigger unit and our friends in the smaller one. The bed was very comfortable, and there were plenty of towels available (for showering AND the beach). I loved having air conditioning and a washer/dryer in the unit. I also loved having two separate units so each couple could have some privacy. The lanai was our "common room". When we weren't out exploring the island, we could be found on the lanai. The views are spectacular! There are beach accessories available (chairs, towels, a cooler, etc) which was very much appreciated.The location was great and the hosts were amazing. Wayne and Corrina were easy to reach by phone and always pleasant and helpful. Check in/check out was easy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay here again the next time we visit the Big Island.
