BonVue Oceanfront House in Ponte Vedra Beach / St Aug

Welcome to BonVue!

From the moment you enter the front door of our home you are enveloped by a beautiful panoramic view of the intense blue sea and sky. Walk out the french doors and over the beachside deck and a few more steps and you're on the sand.

Our ocean front cottage is located between Jacksonville Beach and St. Augustine, in South Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, directly on the ocean. It is very private, with the public accesses located 1 mile to the north and 1 mile to the south. Guana Reserve State Park is across A1A to the west (which offers great nature hikes, bicycling, kayaking and fishing on the Tolomato River). Enjoy stargazing and beach walks at night and beach combing and swimming during the day.

The house boasts 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (each with bathtubs) with 2 couches in the living room. One of these couches pulls out into a full size bed for additional sleeping space! Dining table with custom made benches accommodates six people. New high count linens and fresh pillows lie atop the full size bed and queen size bed in the bedrooms, with an additional twin size cot in the first bedroom. The floors are wood and Mexican tile, with wood ceilings with recessed lights in the wide living area which faces the ocean. Take delight in the flat-screen television and high-speed WiFi internet which is on site.

Enjoy the Adirondack chairs on the beachside deck while watching dolphins swim by. An outdoor shower is available to wash off after swimming. Come and enjoy this wonderful escape from the stresses of everyday life!

We LOVED this place! As soon as you walk through the door you see panoramic views of the ocean. We watched dolphins from the living room! You are just a few steps to the sand and very few people on the beach with us. The shells you can find are the best we’ve found! Sand dollars too! The beds were smaller than we are used to(full size), but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! I would definitely stay here again.

Bonvue Beach house

This is our 3rd visit to Bonvue. We absolutely love it here. We are hoping to come back every year. The only issue we had was Netflix stopped working and we don't have our own Netflix account to sign in so that was disappointing. We were told to use peacock but it didn't work either.

Perfect Location and Great Value!

We wanted an affordable, mostly private beachfront home and that is exactly what we got. The house is small but cozy and had everything we needed in the kitchen as well as comfortable bedding, extra blankets and a full size washer and dryer. Unlike some other places we have stayed, there are no oceanfront bedrooms, but there is a pullout couch in an oceanside sitting room with large windows that offers a great view. Each bedroom also has a smaller side window with a partial ocean view. The floors were a bit uneven, and there were small steps up or down entering each bedroom and going into the master bathroom. This wasn't a problem for me or my husband but was an issue for my elderly mother. Just something to keep in mind if traveling with seniors. On the positive side to offset that concern, there was no beach access from the deck, which meant there were no worries that my parent (with dementia) would wander onto the beach unnoticed. Also a plus if you are traveling with young children. To access the beach, you go out the front door, walk around the side of the house and use the private stairs. We had ants in the kitchen for a couple days but that isn't uncommon in Florida.We love this area, which is private with individual beach homes and nothing on the other side of the highway. It is convenient to both St Augustine and Jacksonville. We would be open to staying here again if not traveling with Mom and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet beachside accommodation.

Perfect Place, Perfect Stay

WOW. This place did not disappoint. I wanted a place where I could see and hear the ocean all day and night. This was the perfect place for that. Beautiful ocean views out all the windows. A large back porch to enjoy a coffee or a cocktail. Very private beach area where we could relax or walk with our dogs. The house was clean and had everything we needed. We absolutely loved our stay and already want to go back!

Breathtaking views

This property was all that and more. Amazing views, ideal location, extraordinary cleanliness, perfectly stocked. Location is everything. This house is on the sand. A few sturdy steps up and over the retaining wall and you’re in the surf. We have stayed in several beach houses in St A and this one stands out both in the unobstructed views of the beach and in its cleanliness. The appliances including a washer and dryer are fresh and easy to use. The supplies were spot on towels, beach towels, paper goods, beach toys, cookware, utensils, even shower supplies. I really can’t say enough about this home. The management of this property was the quickest and most responsive we’ve ever experienced. The check in/out was perfectly easy. One of our most enjoyable trips ever.

Perfect Little Beach House

This is the cutest little yellow beach house. It is perfectly located for trips to both St. Augustine or Jacksonville, or you can just lounge on the beach. Everything was clean and ready to go, from towels to toys to dishes. We did a decent amount of cooking and didn’t want for any utensils. Megan was a great host, and was totally on top of things, not that we had any issues. Overall, we’d rent it again tomorrow if we had the vacation time!

Comfy House on Idyllic Beach

The home has all the comforts of home on a beach with very few people. The view is stunning. The verandah has adirondack chairs that are perfect for relaxing. The appliances are new and we appreciated the washer and dryer.

A great get away with an awesome view.

If you are looking for a small two bedroom home right on the beach, this is an excellent choice. We have stayed at this location numerous times and we just keep going back. The owner is extremely response to any questions or concerns that come up before or during your stay.

S Ponte Vedra Blvd rental

We had a great week. Second time staying. Feels so comfortable and tranquil sitting on the large deck overlooking the beach. Would highly recommend. Close to restaurants and a quick drive to St Augustine.

Loved being right on the ocean.

There had been construction going on so understandable that it was tore up and messy around the property. It rained the whole time we were there, thanks to Mother Nature. But to see the many moods of the ocean so close up was very cool. More instructions on using washer via the fridge would have been nice. Also floors not clean to start with, lots of sand and not clean.

Our favorite beach house

This is our second stay at this beach house and we love it! It's an older house but it has everything that you would need. It is directly on the beach and away from crowds. Our Florida getaway beach house. We hope to come visit on a regular basis

My husband and I were immediately attracted to this home because of it's quaint features and the prime, secluded location of the ocean on one side, with Guana Tolomato Matanzas across the road.
