Looking to get away and unwind? This beautiful, spacious home is 5BR/3BA. Located on a cul de sac with a path that leads to our amazing & private beach only a short 8 minute walk away. Swim in the pool or relax in the hot tub while hearing the waves crash against the shore. Enjoy your morning coffee or evening drinks on one of the two expansive decks while listening to the ocean. OBX is known for some of the best fishing anywhere so be sure to bring your rods to surfcast or fish in the stocked lake which is steps from the front door. Walk the beach and collect shells, maybe get lucky & find a sand dollar. Grab a flashlight to take the kids ghost crabbing after dark. Relax and watch a movie on the 55 inch Roku TV in the family room that even has a fireplace for those chilly fall nights. Come see why Corolla is such a magical spot. -Two master bedrooms each with ensuite bath and king bed, two queen bedrooms plus one kids bunk room with two twin bunks. -Kitchen/dining/great room open concept on top floor great for large gatherings. Fully equipped kitchen with utensils, pots, pans, blenders, and everything else you could need for cooking the perfect meal plus a Weber gas grill poolside for grilling. Pool floats, beach toys, chairs, umbrella and a Wheeleez beach cart provided. 5 Roku TVs, Sonos, board games, books and a basketball court. During the summer season (June 1-Labor Day) the house is available for 4 night minimum stays. Check in time is 4 pm and checkout is 10 am unless prior arrangements are made. * If arriving earlier please feel free to use the pool and hot tub until check in. Bed linens plus bath towels (please bring your wash cloths, hand and beach towels) are provided free to weekly rentals. For off season stays we add $100 if they are requested. Please bring your own beach towels. We also provide blankets, comforters, quilts and pillows. The pool is available April-October with the hot tub open all year. We have ample parking for 6 cars.

Family Thanksgiving

The whole family enjoyed the time together. The kitchen was fully equipped for a full spread Thanksgiving meal. Plenty of room for everyone. Thanks for a great stay.

Family vacation

Pool needed to be cleaned. House needs some updates for the amount of money payed. Big house lots of room for the family. Furniture dated.

40th birthday celebration

Overall the house was great. There are some minor things that could be done to make it more welcoming…. Seems the cleaning crew just does a brief wipe down. There was ants on the counters and the blinds needed a good cleaning. Also need the vents cleaned, lots of dust. The pool and hot tub was nice. Outside needs a little tending to (grass really needs cut and there was a lot of leaves in the pool).

Nice relaxing weekend!

This is a very nice house and it was comfortable to stay in. The hot tub was nice to use as it was chilly at night. The pool will be great for the summer months! The kitchen was nice and fully stocked. I would advise future guests to confirm when booking the owners are ok with their group. Our group had ages 20, 22, 25, 27 and 56 (for all but the last day). She checked with us when we booked and was ok with us coming, but 5 days before coming gave us a hard time about our ages and almost didn’t allow us to come because of trouble with the previous group. As long as the owners are ok with your group, it’s a nice house to stay in and relax!

Thank you for your review! You all were wonderful guests . Unfortunately the week before we had a group that booked under false pretenses as a family and was actually a group of college kids using the house as their frat house . We were then advised that May is the time that this happens. When we accepted your group’s reservation under your name, vrbo did not catch that you were 24 and we could not see that until the time we contacted you (and we are 25+) hence the reason for so much questioning. I am happy it all worked out;)

Before booking, we specifically were seeking a pet friendly house. Upon arriving, we were immediately confronted that they were watching on the cameras and saw our dog and wanted to let me know that dogs were not allowed at the house. In addition to this, they immediately stated per their insurance policy that German shepherds and Pitbulls were not allowed at all. In going back and reviewing the description on VRBO there is no mention there is no mention of breed restrictions and or no dogs allowed. In fact it says up to two dogs welcome and pet friendly home. We spent the first hour of our vacation trying to figure out if we were able to even stay here still. While the home is in a good location, the photographs are not necessarily accurate. It states that the home was fully remodeled in 2025, but upon entering the home, it only looks like it has new carpet. The pool area had algae all over the Concrete in which two of my daughters slipped and fell. I had to clean this all myself.There was broken railings on the back deck with large nails, sticking out of them. One of the bathroom toilets did not flush. There is also cockroaches on the first floor.Throughout our stay, we could tell that the owners were just constantly watching us, which was uncomfortable and something we haven't experienced before. The homeowners also micromanage the thermostat,I would get text telling me to turn it back up to 73 when it was set to 70.

Loved our long weekend!

I stayed at Tim & Mandy's place with a large group of friends for a long Labor Day weekend. The place was perfect for us - nice walk to the beach, easy access to the main road and local stores/restaurants, etc. We enjoyed soaking in the hot tub and got some good use out of the grill. Would definitely stay here again!

Family Vacation

This was the first time for a lot of us out our group of 11. Despite a small issue with the fridge getting to temp the day of the check-in, little to say EVERYTHING was wonderful! Owners were VERY accommodating even responding and helping with the issue right away, always checking in and ensuring their guests enjoy their stay! It was a short distance to the beach, and centrally located to everything in Corolla!!! Everyone enjoyed and will plan to return again next year!!

Nice, clean house close to beach!

This was our first visit to OBX and it was a relaxing few days. The house was clean when we arrived, and entry into the home was smooth. The owners were very responsive. They provided our towels and sheets at no charge to us because of a last minute misunderstanding. I really appreciated this courtesy- because note in the description, if you stay less than a week you must pay an extra $100 for sheets and towels to be provided for your use. Somehow I overlooked that detail, and I didn't have room to pack all the extra sheets and towels for ourselves- but Mandy was understanding and helped us out! Another day while we were there, the power was out for a few hours for maintenance work on the nearby transformer, and the owners had a gift bag delivered with some snacks and a bottle of wine. That was a sweet little gesture, even though we didn't mind the short power and internet outage. We were outside enjoying our pool anyway- which the kids loved having their own private pool to play in. The hot tub was also a hit since it was chilly while we were there! The house is conveniently located- a very short drive to the grocery and several restaurants. The beach is about an 8-10 minute walk, but it's an easy, scenic walk. Overall we did enjoy our stay in this house, even though the weather didn't cooperate as much as we would have liked it to. Thank you for having us as guests at Ocean Sands!

Amazing house for a family vacation. ❤️

This house is perfect for a week's stay. The pool and hot tub were great after a day at the beach. We left some pool floaties in the shed for the next family to enjoy. On our walk to the beach we stopped and fed the turtles in the pond everyday. (the turtles really like puppy chow for a treat ). The house is beautiful, the kitchen has everything you will need for cooking meals for your family. The owners are awesome, if you have any questions just message them"they get right back to you". They are very nice and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic

We stayed for three days at this property and it was absolutely amazing! Great location and it’s a short walk to the beach. Everything was so nice and clean including the pool. Space was great for our big group! The house had everything we needed including boards games and puzzles for the kids!! The owners thought of all the little details to make our stay great!! Mandy and Tim were so kind and SO EASY to get in touch with. They even had a gift basket delivered delivered to us when we arrived!! We will definitely come back!
