This was a great place to stay, would definitely consider staying again! The steps to the front entrance are dangerously slippery after a rainstorm as well as the slate stones that sit on top of pea gravel. I fell on my last trip down loading up the car. Had my arms not been full, I would have no doubt instinctively put them out to catch myself, instead I just fell on my butt and cracked my tailbone.

Thank you so much for your review and for bringing this to our attention. I honestly had no idea this had happened until I saw your review, and I’m very glad to hear that you’re okay! For anyone staying with us, there is also a side entrance that can be used to avoid the front steps. We have already gotten pricing to replace the decks and are planning to have them replaced this fall and will see what we can do to improve the traction and make that area safer in wet conditions. We truly appreciate you taking the time to share this feedback, and we’re glad to hear you otherwise enjoyed the property and would consider staying with us again!

This was a great spot for our trip. It was a beautiful and quiet property, and was nice to just be about 15-20 minutes from town and Torch Lake. We appreciated the nice s’mores kit the host left and found the house to be generally well-appointed. The beach chairs and towels were very convenient, and there was even an air fryer. Some kitchen staples were hit and miss, such as having no measuring cups or mixing bowls and pans being mostly scratched up teflon, so if you’re planning to cook much you may want to bring those if you’re particular. The host was very responsive and professional. Would recommend for a beautiful and quiet getaway!

If you’re looking for a quiet get away, this is the place. Perfect. We loved the location, still just a short drive from amenities, but far enough away to enjoy the solitude. Marissa was an amazing host and kept us up to date with everything and anything. We can’t wait to head back up there for another stay. The place was very clean and had everything we needed for an amazing time. I want to tell everyone about this place, but I also want to hold back as well. That way I won’t have a problem getting future dates. . Beautiful nature setting for those looking to enjoy the great outdoors. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your place.
