Fantastic location right on the sand in a gated community. Pools are a short walk across the street. Loved being keyless. The condo is a little dated, but functions fine for the necessities. I would not plan on 6 guests comfortably, 4 was fine with 1 small bath. The back deck is a little rough and the toilet seat was loose, those were my only issues. Would recommend for a little family or girls trip.

The property was a few meters from the beach, the kids had ton of fun. It was also close to the restaurants and shopping. Will visit again.

Our family loved being steps from the beach. Condo was clean and quiet area. Would absolutely stay here again. Close to all of the attractions as well.

I love the location. I just feel like the condo is really really outdated and it could be cleaned a lot better plus when I got there at 4 o’clock to check in there was a maintenance man waiting for me and I was not able to get in the shower until 10 o’clock that night, which is kind of an inconvenience.

This was the perfect stay for our family. Literally walk out the back door and theres the beach! We cant wait to come back next year!

Let me start by saying that we love VRBO for the ease of booking and their customer support. We also have been to Sandpiper cove before and we love it. However, the host of this unit, Southern Vacation Rentals, fell short. When we got to the condo we noticed there was no handle on the sliding glass door to the outside deck which sits on the beach at Sandpiper cove. It was in a locked position and there was no access to deck. This was the MAIN reason we had booked this unit. The place was also not clean and weathered. There was stains, dust and a mildew smell. The place looked like it wasn’t updated since the 90s. I called the host and they said it would take 24 hours to for the property manager to get back to us. Poor communication. They did finally fixed the issue but it should have been resolved before we checked in. The same with the cleanliness. I don’t think the management of Southern are checking the cleanliness and issues of this unit. I also looked up complaints about this company and there are many. I would not recommend this particular condo or any other that is being hosted by Southern vacation rentals.

2nd time staying at this property, stayed 4 years ago. New vinyl floor instead of carpet was nice, wish they would update some of the amenities. Place was clean and we love the location, being in the sand right off the back steps. Would stay here again!

Amazing spot! You can literally walk out the patio and your feet are in the sand — doesn’t get better than that. East Destin is beautiful, peaceful, and close to great spots like Marina Café and Harbor Docks. The first night our A/C went out, but the property team handled it quickly and even offered compensation afterward. Excellent service, unbeatable location, and a perfect beach getaway. Highly recommend!

Nice, quiet little place on the beach

We loved being on the beach, on the ground floor. Make sure to check in with the guard across the street for a parking pass, though.

Location, location, location

If you’re looking for a place close to the beach this is it. They’re older condos but we’ll maintained and walking distance to some restaurants and amenities or a short drive to everything else you can imagine.

Fun beach unit!

We enjoyed the stay. Very clean and no roaches! The only thing we wish we could have had were beach chairs, umbrellas, toys, etc to borrow. Host was very quick and helpful to responding to any questions.

Great location

Our family and friend had a great time. Great location to the beach. Clean environment. The kids loved going right out the back door and playing in the sand. We had plenty of room for 6 of us, 3 adults 3 kids. Husband loved that there was a concession area to get his drinks as well. Would recommend staying here! Can’t wait to come back next year.

Nice and clean property. Perfect for our family of 3. Like how you can walk straight into the sand from the rear porch. We have been coming to sandpiper for years now and this is our favorite unit so far!

Nice Get Away For Couple

Spouse and I love coming to Destin for a weekend get away, quick 4 hour drive from NOLA. We usually come up with friends and split expenses, this time it was just us two, and we felt this place was perfect for just the two of us. You step right off the back deck into the sand and it’s a very short walk to the beach, much better than having to take an elevator to the 12th floor etc. King bed was fine, not great but not bad. Check in and check out super easy and your location is great in regards to groceries, ice, food spots, etc. (which if you can swing the price, Boshamps was fantastic, get the snapper) I would 100% recommend this place to other couples for a budget Destin trip.
