Beliggende i South Fairways af Mauna Kea Resort, har vores hjem en smuk udsigt over havet og bjergene og er det perfekte tilflugtssted for stor familie eller venner at samles på. Udenfor inkluderer faciliteterne den store afsondrede pool, bruser, smuk landskabspleje, spredte græsplæner til børn at lege på og tre store lanier. Det er kun to minutters kørsel ned til den unikke hvide sandstrand i Mauna Kea, hvor svømmere ofte deler det mousserende vand med blide havskildpadder.

We had an amazing two weeks at this property with both family and friends. Very comfortable, beds are great. The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking. It is a great location within the Mauna Kea Resort and a very comfortable private location.

We enjoyed our stay at this home. The location is prime for Mauna Kea beach and the Puako snorkeling area like beach 69. The pool was clean and refreshing. The house has a unique layout where all the bedrooms except the master are in a row like a motel which can be inconvenient for small children as I had the master bedroom with my husband and our children shared the room with two twins which is near the garage that is accessed from outside in the dark and the kids did not want to leave the room at night because of all the night critters. There is a pump or two of some kind that you can hear in the master bedroom that runs all night that would disturb a light sleeper. There are really no beach chairs or snorkel gear or beach umbrellas like all the other houses we stayed in on Hawai'i. I think it would be a great addition for them to provide these things at this price point. Over all its a great location with a nice pool and we had a fine time but for this price I would expect more amenities and polish. The host is quick to respond to questions.

We really enjoyed our time at this property. Beautiful gardens, fantastic view and the pool was great. Location!! The house could benefit from revised lighting and is due for updates to the bathrooms and kitchen, but these points did not negatively impact the enjoyment of our vacation. Super cool floor plan with private entrances to the suites made it feel like everyone had their own little cabana and each had its own AC unit and ceiling fan so everyone could adjust accordingly.Communication with Heidi was easy and prompt. we hope to return for another stay.

Perfect getaway

The house was perfect for our family. There was a lot of space for each of us to get enjoy time together and apart. We enjoyed the outside and pool the most. It was a little odd accessing the rooms from the outside breezeway but it ended up giving us each our own privacy.

All questions were answered promptly by the owner. The lot is beautiful....sunsets and full moon viewings were spectacular. Access to the Mauna Kea Resort was an added bonus, but a bit costly. Any issue we had was resolved by Heather. Previous reviews stated property decor a bit dated, so that was expected and not an issue for us. A very memorable vacation for our family!

Mauna Kea

This is a well-kept house is in a lovely gated golf course community. The layout is great, the furniture is solid, the kitchen has everything we needed to cook and BBQ. The bathrooms have lots of thick, high quality towels and there is a supply of beach towels for the pool. The local Manager is friendly and helpful and when we had a request he responded within minutes. Everything was clean and appealing. The one thing that needs updating is the entertainment system; the TV was so old that we were unable to hook up our computer to stream our Netflix etc on it.

Pool Time + Family Time = Great Time

Pool Time + Family Time = Great Time Fantastic week in a very quiet neighborhood. The house is amazing, albeit a bit dated in places. The pool is super clean and perfect for hours and hours of relaxation and some family fun time. Communication with this owner is superb. The channel selection (only one television, which is a plus) is more than adequate and wi-fi is strong enough to accommodate all our devices. Air conditioning works well when you are not opening up the house and enjoying the gentle breeze and smell of Hawaii. The house is designed so privacy is obtainable but also has spacious areas for family time. The pool and surrounding area are definitely the strong points of the house. The kitchen, maybe time for an upgrade, but certainly usable. I would not recommend getting the resort option package with the Mauna Kea Resort at $220.00/day. In the morning we got a parking pass from the very professional gate guards and was able to access the trail for a brisk morning walk and the beach. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to a family or multiple couples.

Lovely family vacation

Our group had a great time. The pool area is fabulous, and we spent a lot of time outside. One thing that would have made the week easier is if each bedroom had their own set of keys. With only one set, it was tricky to coordinate where the keys were (the lockbox wasn't a good option for us as we had some elderly relatives with arthritis and they couldn't maneuver the dials) We also found everything we needed in the kitchen. My only complaint is that the shelves in our bedroom were very dusty. We didn't have a dresser, so I had to clean them to be able to unpack our suitcases.Heidi was very responsive and extremely accommadating. I would recommend this property.

Perfect for family celebration

Rented this property for generational family celebration. Highlights included great location for beach use, great views on a grassy area on the property which was perfect for sunsets every night, 4 good size bedrooms each with private entrance, king beds, private bathroom. Beds were very comfortable and each room had plenty of space. A nice sized pool proved to be a popular place particularly for the grandkids. Kitchen was well stocked as well as a nice Weber Gas BBQ. When staying in the MK estates you can purchase an Amenity package for full access to the MK hotel and beach, and the Hapuna Westin and beach. This was well worth it as we had valet parking, beach chairs, umbrellas, complimentary snorkeling and kayaking, and access to two beautiful workout facilities. The purchase was well worth it. The owner dealt promptly with any questions I had and was a pleasure to work with. We will come back here again.

Beautiful home, pool really made it great for the whole family. 3 suites makes it fair for all couples to have a suite. Kids room only entrance outside of main house.. not optimal for kids under 10. Kitchen dated but everything worked well. Utensils and bakeware should be updated, overall, great time was had by all!!

Beautiful Beach House

This house was so beautiful with great views and a perfect layout for our family. The location was close to the beach in a lovely neighborhood that was quiet and private. We loved the pool, grilling and having meals outside. Heidi was very kind and made everything easy. Highly recommend and would love to stay again. Thank you!

Great Location & Stunning Views

My group was very satisfied with the accommodations. Loved the private suites off the main house. The area is attractive, quiet and peaceful. The pool was well maintained (someone stopped by to check-in at least twice during our ten day stay) and there were plenty of toys and towels. We also enjoyed the library of books and puzzles. We didn't realize that the welcome package picked up at the resort upon arrival was the one referred to in the description (requiring an additional fee). The resort office did not tell us this at that time and we thought there were additional amenities available for the fee. When we checked out we were surprised to have a $1700 balance. We did enjoy the amenities (Mauna Kea beach access, lounge chairs w umbrellas, trails, outdoor games) and concluded we got what we paid for whether or not we realized it.

Family celebration at Maune Kea

Excellent home, location, view, pool and gardens enjoyed for by a family birthday celebration. This beautiful home perfectly accommodated four couples sharing time in kitchen, dining, indoor and outdoor living area, while each couple a private bed/bath suite & garden patio. Some of Big Island's best beaches are located close in Maune Kea. Host was super friendly and responsive. HG, thanks for all your help making our stay awesome!

Scorpions and leaky roof

The setting and use of Mauna Kea property is the best thing about this rental. The house itself is extremely dated and has issues regarding that. Sliding doors warped and difficult to open, roof leaked in every room with rainstorm and my husband was stung by a scorpion in the bed on the second night. Property manager was quick to respond to issues and provided support but I would not rent this property again

50th Anniversary Celebration

We were looking for a special place to celebrate our 50th Anniversary with our family. This home provided the perfect location for that celebration. Our grandchildren loved the pool and beaches at the Westin and Mauna Kea Resorts and everyone loved exploring the island during our stay.

Hawaii Family vacation

Our family had a fabulous time staying at Heidi’s gorgeous Mauna Kea home. The view of the ocean is spectacular as you enjoy the warm swimming pool. The house was very well equipped with everything you could think of to make our stay comfortable. We took advantage of the Mauna Kea Residence package and it was well worth it to have easy access to the gorgeous beaches, pools and gym. We would love to come back here in the future.

Loved our stay here, the layout gives everyone space and it was easy to access the resort with the amenity package. Gorgeous open views from the living and dining room. We appreciated the kitchen having basic spices and supplies along with a well-stocked game cabinet:) Would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay for a family

This property is a very nice place to stay on the Big Island. We were in a gated golf community, and it was just gorgeous. Our own private pool, large enough for 6+ adults to lounge in and around. A beautiful elevated and sunset view of the Pacific. The kitchen was well stocked, and the dining room and living room gave us a nice place to all gather for dinner and drinks. The master bedroom is just off the living room, and was very comfortable. The other bedrooms all have their own separate entrance and are on the other side of the house. The (adult) kids enjoyed having their own space at the end of each day. The beach at the bottom of the hill was very nice, though public parking is very limited so you need to get down there early. We did not get the amenity package, as we explored the island each day. However, if you plan on just doing beach and pool days and relaxing, the amenity package could possibly be of benefit. There was lots of beach and pool supplies in the garage, and the laundry was much appreciated. We very much enjoyed our stay.
